Lord of Girth
Annaj was the Capitol planet of the Fringe Confederation. While I myself did not really like the planet, I could see why it was used by the expansive forests and wide range of plains. All covered by a brown fog that never seemed to fade. I held some admiration for the planet as it was still our capitol. Moving outside of the cities, I was looking, and searching, for a person. One that could help me with an idea that I had and my form of the force. I needed to advance it to a level that my brother never could. I would take his legacy and expand in it ten, hundred, even thousand fold. If he was known as the great Phoenix, Then I would be known as the powerful Dragon. A being that could soar up to insurmountable heights, and manipulate fire from birth. I was but a hatchling. Needing to grow.
The zooming of my Silk-6 speederbike met my ears as above me a Velrain flew cawing as the wind. Hearing almost none of it by the Doppler Effect, and the drone of my engines. I wore no helmet as I piloted the speeder. Letting the long black hair streak back like a forgotten wave in the light. Flapping in the wind along with it, was the Lot’tk jacket that I wore. The fear effect off and inactive, while the lightsaber on my belt jingled as I moved at speeds that rivaled birds of prey. Each second spent in the direction seemed to last for hours as I traveled.
My mind floating over the man who called himself Lucianus. Not a name you would hear often. But after asking around for where the man lived, I finally got an idea on where. Headed there now, I felt as though I was entering a trap. The thought of going somewhere unknown, to see a man I did not hear about, other than a few words here and there, to ask him to help me on my training? There were a lot of ifs in this action. Variables that could be exploited. A number of them that would not help me. I began to slow down as I came towards the edge of the forest. The plain behind me fading as I came to a complete stop. The engine still on and rumbling as I had one foot down. Looking out from where I was, I couldn’t see past the line of trees. I had a feeling that the man was in there somewhere. I could almost feel him. Shutting down the engine. I adjusted the leviathan bracers on my arms. The breaking sounds of leather being stretched over my hands came to my ears as I tightened down on the bracers.
Namely the right one as I flexed my hand. My fingers slightly numb from the wind whipping over them during the ride here. I let my hand drop and pulled out a water bottle from which I drank. A concoction of juices from the planet of Kro Var, and other ingredients that others would find strange to be in a drink. Mostly I had blood from an Exogorth from which one of the Alchemy experiments I had helped in had extra blood. I kept some for myself to aid in the alchemy that was done to my left arm. I looked down at the talons that were on my left hand. Putting the water bottle away, shutting down the engine, it wined to a stop as I began to walk away. Extending my right arm up and out, in less than two seconds, a whistle sound came bombing for my arm. And landing on it was a rather large bird, Elsu, a Velrain female that I had grown an attraction to as a pet, and companion.
Squawking next to my ear, I shushed with a soft hiss. “Wouldn’t want to wake the old man would you?” The bird looked at me almost apologetically. “Thought so.” Looking back to the forest, I threw my arm up and the bird left me once more. Flying away to look for dinner while I continued to possibly have training.
Or at least I hoped to have training.
