Darth Audroti
Character
The shadows shifted while light refracted within the beads of rain as they poured from the heavens. The prism condensed upon the precious stone structure and for the hundredth time the Mandalorian youth wished he had adorned his armor. But, that would've made him far less appealing as bait. His vod sat in varying stances amongst the jungle fauna and trees.
They had been waiting motionless with stealth suites activated for what felt like hours. They had set out upon their journey the night before whilst the nocturnal predators stalked the jungle floor. The creatures had claimed two of his comrades already. But it was a minor setback. The true glory rested within the breast of the devil they sought.
The boy was a descendant of the clans ancient a'lor and as such the opportunity could not be wasted. It was rumored only the blood of hukatiir could lure out Rage… A demon whose own heart sat at Dxun's core. Some ancient evil which had haunted this moon for millennia. They would find out soon enough.
The boy shifted as the rain drenched his hair and poured freely from its frayed tips. He clutched eagerly at his Mandalorian blasters. This hunt would bring him much honor if successful. No one could deny him the title of a'lor then…
He was tired.
But, he was a true hunter. Patience was key. Suddenly the jungle grew quiet. The prey approached the bait. The Mandalorians grew tense as every fiber within there being prepared to pounce. The shadows shifted upon the stone the boy stood near as its gray coloring seemed to adopt a shade of pink. It was true! The Heart of D'xun answered Rage's call! It turned a deeper crimson. He scarcely had time to register before the ground beneath him began to quake. A loud roar like nothing he had ever heard before. The trees and foliage seemed to tremble with each step the creature took. Suddenly, within the blink of an eye, it was there. The boy raised his weaponry and fired with both barrels
“For Mandalore!" He shouted, his bravery bellying the fear within.
But it would take more than blasters to bring down the terentatek… He dove out of the way and the alchemical monster grasped hold of another of his vod and crunched the man in half with one terrifying bite.
