DESCRIPTION
The Firespray-31-class Patrol and Attack Craft was initially designed by Kuat Systems Engineering, with six prototypes being sent to Desolation Alley, a maximum-security Republic prison on Oovo IV. Sometime around the Naboo Crisis, the legendary bounty hunter Jango Fett managed to steal one of the six prototypes while destroying the rest. Years later, owing to the tales of the Slave I and its pilot, KSE once again tried its hand at producing the Firespray-31.

The Dire Fate is one such vessel, having survived over eight hundred years in relatively decent shape, somehow having ended up collecting dust in one of the many hangars of the
Prosperity. Discovered by the fresh Jedi Padawan, Kenth Ordo, the Dire Fate received a massive overhaul to bring it up to the standards of the 860s, including several completely new auxiliary systems and weapon mounts. Some say the only original part in the Dire Fate is the seating, though this isn't true as it has needed to be reupholstered on numerous occasions due to the untimely demise of its occupant.

These modifications haven't gone without consequences, as the ship's overall speed has suffered as a result of the offensive, defensive, and utility upgrades - the largest of which is the fine-tuning of the hyperdrive to achieve a class 0.75 rating, allowing the Dire Fate to travel the galaxy at record speeds. Although the Firespray is not without its weaknesses, it still serves as a highly versatile vessel nearly a millennia later.
