- Organization Name: The Dire Wolves Paramilitary Organization
- Classification: Paramilitary Organization
- Affiliation: Sergei "Jack" Jachovich
- Organization Symbol: Snarling Wolf's Head
- Description: This group is a paramilitary organization with a focus on security forces, special operations forces, and civilian aid and rescue teams.
- Headquarters: The Hope
- Domain: None
- Notable Assets: A single custom Dire Wolf class Star Destroyer named "Hope", various military assets to include vehicles/weapons/small ships.
- Hierarchy: The Dire Wolf is the head of the organization, with a chief Engineer, First Sergeant, and Commander of Civilian operations reporting directly to him. Special Operations and Security forces fall under military organizations, reporting to either First Sergeant (SOF) or Commander of Civilian Ops (Security and Civilian aid teams). Engineering has a chief engineer with multiple smaller teams of engineers working under them for the R&D departments.
- Membership:
- Membership currently consists of 80 Standard Commandos and another 40 commandos a part of a separate unit for the SOF group. The smaller of the group consists of most of the original members of TDW before the battle of Ryloth as losses were significantly high. This has forged the original group of commandos to become an absolutely terrifying force to behold both in black operations and on the field of battle. Each commando in this company is assigned a TCD-1D to work with to augment their fighting abilities. Only the very best get to be selected from the other Special Forces Companies to join this group. Most information about them has been scrubbed from all known networks as all are listed as Killed in Action from the battle of Ryloth. They have no official name but most call it the The Ghost Company. Their armor is devoid of any markings and is all black, and the only identifying markers you'll find is an all black medallion with the company logo emblazoned on it, and a brand on their left forearm of this same logo. This company has no room for failure, and consider themselves expendable if necessary to complete the mission.
- Other company of commandos is still highly trained and elite compared to most units as they are still trained directly by Sergei Jachovich and The Ghost Company. Training is difficult and grueling but is attainable for those with the will power to endure and the sharp mind to adapt. From here you go through multiple environment survival training where you are taken to a variety of worlds and biomes and taught to survive. Next up is combat training which even after "graduating" from training never stops. You'll practice on CQC environments, jungles, city fighting, infiltration and a variety of tactics to utilize as an infantryman in the field. Each Wolf is expected to pull their weight and help the rest of the company prove they are the best fighting force in the galaxy, not through numbers but with quality and excellence in performance. Combat squads are augmented by TCD-1Ds to increase combat effectiveness and they operate with them at all times. Extremely professional environment with the expectations that no less than 110% effort is to be given for every task.
- Air Squadrons fall under the First Sergeant as well with 3 Squadrons of support craft with various transport/heavy lift capabilities and 3 squadrons of fighters meant to serve as aerospace superiority craft and close air support when called on. There are roughly 80 pilots at any given time with another 400 for support crews/air crews. This allows pilots to rotate out if necessary on support craft to facilitate constant operations in the cases of disaster relief and civilian aid. In combat scenarios the support craft can be utilized as drop ships and heavy fire support if necessary with the fighters providing a screen and being able to respond to a variety of threats.
- Science teams aboard number about 30 personnel and are recruited from various walks of life. They do not undergo the same training as the commando units and are considered civilians. They work for the company to provide solutions to engineering, medical, and other problems where science is a more effective answer. They are also constantly working on Research and Development projects for various projects to either be sent to TDW's civilian partners in Freebirds Industries or for explicit TDW's use.
- Civilian Operations consists of 300 security personnel who receive a lighter version of TDW's commando training designed to make their security professionals mindful of the same things their military counterparts are. While they do not undergo the survival training that the commandos do, they receive extra negotiation and medical training making them experts at deescalation and treating wounded. They work for more civilian side projects such as private security, or even on civilian aid and rescue missions as security. Another 150 personnel are dedicated to supply and logistics operations with a focus of maximizing relief efforts in war torn zones or efficiency in rescue operations that include environmental disasters and artificially created disasters. These people are also augmented by TCD-1s and TCD-2s to provide extra security for high risk scenarios and extra muscle for disaster relief requiring heavy lift capabilities.
- Climate: One way to describe the feeling in The Dire Wolves is that of a brotherhood. Each and every individual there knows exactly why they are there and what they are fighting for. And while most mercenaries fight for credits or glory, the members of the Dire Wolves know they fight for something greater. They fight to protect as many innocents on the field of battle as possible, to give hope to as many as they can to prove that someone will stand for those that cannot fight. It is this knowledge that gives each member of TDW the zeal that is present while they are with the company. They know they are not only doing the right thing, but doing so outside of political restraints and red tape. Each member is willing to die for each other, and all are willing to lay their lives on the line for the mission, which is above everything show the galaxy that a few good people still stand against the darkness and chaos that threatens to swallow the galaxy whole. Each understands the stakes, and what the expectations are, and no one will keep themselves from reminding someone of that should they find their resolve or courage wavering.
- Reputation: The outward appearance of this organization is an elite paramilitary organization that places effectiveness and efficiency on the battlefield, wherever it may be, as its most promising traits along with the minimization of collateral damage and civilian casualties. They have also proven themselves effective at civilian relief efforts and willing to move forward and assist with disaster relief operations to further help any they can. And for the price they ask, you'd have to ask yourself why wouldn't you hire them?
- Curios: Each member of TDW except for those in the ghost company have a set of silver dog tags with the company's name and logo emblazoned on the front with identifying information on the back. These tags are always present on any member of the company.
- Rules: The rules haven't changed. Don't die in mission, don't disgrace the company name, always seek to learn more either about your job or how to be better in some way, and never, ever, surrender.
- Goals: The goals also haven't changed, however they've been expanded. While this company still attempts to show the rest of the galaxy what proper professional soldiers should look like, now that they've included civilian operations this has become a three fold show.
- On the military side Sergei is still convinced that through the actions of his mercenary company he can show the rest of the galaxy what professional soldiers should look and act like. This is through their actions both on and off the field of battle and their commitment to show that in order to attain military objectives, you don't have to needlessly cause death and destruction. This includes proper applications of understanding and employing the necessary levels of force and doing so in a manner that spares any non-combatants from as much damage as possible. For the commandos that means attacking military only targets, or targets that are being utilized against non-combatants to ensure their safety and protection. They have non-lethal options to ensure targets are taken alive if necessary, but will not hesitate to put people down if they prove to dangerous to be left alive.
- For security personnel that means being proficient at their job well enough to mitigate any risks that a potential hostile may try to incur and do so with maximum efficiency. This encompasses everything from simply being able to talk someone down, to having professionals that cover every possible situation that might come their way in their line of work. This also includes the proper and rapid application of Tactical Combat Droids when necessary.
- With the rest of the civilian and engineering teams, they are devoted to developing technologies and employing them in a manner to effect as many lives as possible, through the rapid development of civilian technologies, and revolutionary efforts in the areas of disaster and civil aid. This forms an all encompassing company that has one goal, and one goal only. To form the foundation of a better world for all. The commandos are the sword of this vision, striking with the precision of a scalpel and with the force of a sledgehammer if necessary. The security personnel form the shield, protecting any and all that would call to their aid from the dangers of the surrounding darkness. And the engineers, to develop and light the way for them all, creating a path for everyone to walk so that they might not get lost in the darkness.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Sergei initially began thinking of starting his own mercenary company when a job he took solo as running security for a transportation firm went bad and left him nearly dead due to the literal amount of pirates that overwhelmed him on the job. It was here that Sergei remembered his instructors teachings that a Soldier while strong alone, was exponentially more powerful with allies to his left and right, especially so when they were men and women he could trust with his life. And so Sergei set out to do exactly that, hunting down the best the galaxy had to offer from various militaries around. He had very simple rules, no war crimes and no one quits. His training regimen was one to weed out those either not strong enough or not determined enough to maintain the course of what Sergei wanted to create, which was the Galaxy's premier fighting force that could fight anywhere, at any time, against any odds. He started with a small team and their first true test being a shipping run along a known pirate route, where Sergei encountered Aiden Wolf, a tortured and brainwashed child soldier essentially enslaved to pirates. After defeating the pirates in question and capturing the boy, Sergei saw another avenue for his mercenary company. To give those that hadn't a chance at living for themselves just that, a second chance at life. And so Sergei made the decision that those who surrendered were to be treated humanely, and given a chance to lay down their arms and accept society's judgement or live on a remote world in peace. Sergei's team would see their next test on Atrisia, and while the mission was a success, the losses incurred would force Sergei to expand his training program and find a larger vessel to accommodate a larger unit. And from there, Sergei would expand his company to form a full 120 commandos and another 150 men and women to operate their new ship, The Aegis.
From here the Dire Wolves would serve with distinction, fighting alongside the CIS in multiple battles and rescue missions, and even returning to the Republic to assist with an attack on Hosnian Prime. Their continued service in battle would show that they were indeed a capable bunch of men and women, The Aegis leading the charge as they would either take the battle to the enemy on the ground or in space. And as the company grew, especially with contributions from Freebirds Industries due to their many contracts with the CIS's Vendor program, Sergei got to see a lot his men operate with renewed vigor as they not only had the money to keep the fight going, but the technology to press the attack against any and all enemies. Sergei would routinely join his men on the frontlines forming a spearhead for the Confederacy as they raced across from planet to planet to assist with liberation after liberation. And then the unthinkable would happen. On one of the border worlds of Teyr, the Surric System Defense Forces were in total disarray, and a civil war was raging. Sergei and his wolves would push into the system as soon as they got word, at the head of a Confederate Defense Force battlegroup being sent to respond. When they made planet fall, Sergei and his men would find something truly horrifying. The world was burning, the corrupt former viceroy had turned to nuclear and chemical weapons to try and stop the loyalist forces from taking his palace. The casualties were in the millions. Spearheading the assault, Sergei and his men would lead the newly formed Surric Local Defense Forces to victory in a combined final assault on the palace, capturing and executing the former viceroy. The battle though won, felt like a hollow victory, as the destruction not only cost sapient lives, but also destroyed the economy of the Surric System. And this destruction would take years to recover from. At least, it would had Dr. Ryan Alphonse not stepped in.
Dr. Ryan had a twofold plan to fix the issue with the system and give The Dire Wolves a new place to generate income for themselves and their tech. They would found a new civilian company, totally focused on production and creation of technologies. This new company would become Freebirds Industries, with many technologies being created for the rebuilding of the Surric System and to help the locals not only recover, but get work and assist each other with rebuilding. They would build many new technologies to include prefabricated housing, environmental suits built to withstand the harshest of conditions and droids to assist with the rebuilding and rescuing of others. These technologies would also be sold to the greater CIS and CDF to help generate even more income for the system to help funding more recovery and production to ensure the recovery of the system would progress faster. This would speed the recovery of the Surric System as a whole, and give The Dire Wolves even more resources to utilize in the creation of their own gear, using it to fortify their teams with newly acquired droids and weapons. They would use this technology to great effect in the field until a fateful day when it all came crashing down.
Ryloth
Sergei and his company had been contacted previously before the festivities and told what was possibly to come, and didn't hesitate to move all of their assets to assist. Their cover was to provide assistance with security for the event, but Sergei knew that something like this wouldn't have been passed up. And what would come to pass would be something for the history books. But the main event for Sergei was when an enemy battlecruiser broke from the enemy's line, charging forward charging up a main cannon, and moving to what Sergei and Clark knew to be an orbital bombardment position. It wouldn't take a minute for them to realize that not only were they the only ones who could respond to it from the Confederate Defense Forces side, they were the only ones who would appear to anything to try and stop them. And since the enemy had deemed it beneath them to try and stop the mad 'cruiser, Sergei and Clark made a fateful decision that would change their lives. They broke their contract with the CDF and intercepted the ship in an active war zone. Sergei had been ready to board the vessel to destroy it from within, but his captain had other plans, jettisoning him and the remaining ground forces dirt side as he knew Sergei's story wouldn't end here. And the battle that would unfold would be apocalyptic, costing Sergei everything, just short of his life.
In the aftermath of the battle Sergei would be arrested and tried as a traitor for breaking his contract with the CDF in an active war zone, but higher powers would intervene on his behalf and get him out of trouble. He was once again hired onto the CDF but this time with a new contract and a different benefactor that would ensure that if something like Ryloth ever happened again, Sergei wouldn't need to wait for the approval to act. And so he'd be sent to various worlds to assist with training local defense forces when Dr. Alphonse would surprise Sergei with the unveiling of the new ship for the Dire Wolf to call home. Her name, was "Hope". A two kilometre long custom Star Destroyer, she was armed to the teeth and already outfitted with a new crew that was ready to follow their leader into what was hopefully a bright future. And so Sergei would gather the battered remnants of what remained of the old TDW, and would use them to hire on more brave souls to help with their cause. Their motto of "Ego Sum Dignus," (I am worthy), would now indeed live on, and Sergei knew that his work was just beginning. So with a new ship, a new crew, and a larger more well rounded organization to back him, Sergei would once again journey forward into the unknown. His hope, to create a brighter future for all, and to hopefully protect the many with the sacrifices of a voluntary, well trained and chosen few.
