- Packing: The Dragoon-Class is a vessel packed to the brim with weaponry and hungry for a fight.
- Stuffed Hangar: The Dragoon-Class is packed with a larger than average hangar space, making it an ideal support vessel.
- Avoiding Heavier Ordnance: The Jen’Dosta Defence System, point defence guns and anti-missile octets allow for the Dragoon to be able to potentially nullify most attacks made at it.
- Slow: Even for a frigate, the Dragoon achieves less than optimal speeds.
- Non-Agile: Avoiding and evasive actions are not in this vessels forte.
- Hangar Target: While the Dragoon’s hangar is designed for high capacity deployment of fighters, it however is also a vulnerability. Should an enterprising enemy manage to target either the starboard or port hangar refuelling stations, it could cause catastrophic damage to the vessels capacity to continue fighting.
The Dragoon-Class Frigate is a supporting vessel designed to be capable of either operating independently or alternatively acting as the vanguard of any major engagement. The Dragoon-Class’ high hangar capacity and armament make it capable of aiding garrisons and supporting smaller scale and even special forces operations. Its low speed, means that the Dragoon is also ideal to act as a vanguard and defend either artillery vessels or slower vessels in the fleet either during war or peace time operations.
In regards to technical features, the Dragoon-Class is a vessel that has sacrificed speed and maneuvering power for that of advanced weaponry and defences. The weapon systems of the Dragoon are capable enough of deterring most hostile forces its size and smaller, and its defensive package means that it is a vessel that can endure more direct combat than most its size. While this is true, the Dragoon is however vulnerable in regards to the hangar. Both port and starboard hangars act as refueling stations, and these docks cannot be appropriately removed in combat situations, meaning that if an enemy were to dispatch saboteurs or successfully bomb these hangars, it could catastrophic damage to both weapons systems and the Dragoons capacity to fight.
