Grief & Rage
"Hurry it up with that shipment!"
The brigands were hurrying through the landing bay, slipping crates of spice into their ship as some guards stood on guard. They had to be careful, getting these smuggled drugs off Kaddak and to a more... drug friendly planet. The local Karjr had a strict anti-drug policy, and they knew she was likely hunting them as they worked. Not exactly ready to be unalived today, they were hurrying to the landing platform to escape the planet. The harsh winds blew as the small crew loaded crate after crate of illegal goods into their ship. As the guards peered into the dark hallways they had come from, the workers continued to hurry.
One lad fell, dropping a smaller crate of death sticks onto the landing pad's metal floor.
"Be careful!" One of the others barked. One brigand guarding looked back at the infighting for a moment, then looked back to the hallway leading into the building.
Then, they all heard it. The growing rumble of an engine purring. Just thinking that it was another ship below deck, the group continued on with their work. Though, some guards turned and switched positions to guard the ship. The rumbling of the engine grew louder, and soon all the workers paused and looked up... as a ship ascended from below them to in front of their landing pad. Worst of all, it was the unmistakable identity of a basilisk droid. And atop the droid's head, a Mandalorian warrior stood with her blaster rifle ready.
One of the leading brigands waved his hand towards the ship, shouting, "She's here! Hurry up!"
The Mandalorian stood there, watching the bandits scurry and panic as they knew they were caught. Without question, the guards lifted their blasters to attack. The Mandalorian spoke one word, "Cab."
The basilisk opened fire, shooting the ship and causing a massive explosion. Many bandits and guards died, and the remaining looked up in terror. Knowing that this Karjr was ready to slaughter, the unarmed drug dealers retreated into the dark building as the guards opened fire, also attempting a slower retreat.
The Karjr jumped off the basilisk, landing on the metallic wreckage of the ship with all the confidence in the world. Blaster bolts just bounced off her armor as she made a second jump, landing on the ground. She lifted her rifle and took several shots at the criminals. She shot each and every one first try. As the wind blew across the landing bay, the fires of the ship wafering in the breeze, she slung the blaster on her back and pulled out two pistols, entering the shadows of the building.
The echoes of footsteps pounded across the metal floor as the man darted through the long mechanical room, panting. The sounds of his frightened fleeing resounded through the room as he ducked behind a wall. He breathed heavily, hoping he had lost her... only to hear slower but doom heralding footsteps enter the room in echoes.
"No..."
The voice of the Mandalorian was confident and patronizing, "Found you."
The footsteps grew closer, echoes louder with each step. He lifted his hand and pulled it over his mouth, trembling. Why had he signed up for this?! Was the quick money for his own death stick fix worth this? When he had said he would do anything for his fix, he had not thought that it would go this far...
Then, the silhouette of that dreaded armor stood before him. He cried out as she lifted her pistol towards him and-
The brigand sighed as slipped into the night, into the dark alleyways of Kaddak. Was he... the only survivor? He had heard of the ruthlessness of the Enclave's warden over Kaddak, but this...
He shook his head, looking down at the single death stick he had salvaged. This would not be enough to buy him the ticket off of Kaddak he had wanted. Was it all over? The sound of a jetpack whirling caused him to yelp. He looked up to see that very Mandalorian, coated in the green blood of the team's Duros, descending upon a balcony at the end of the alleyway. He cried out, turning and running as he hoped to just evade her fire. He heard her jump to the ground as he neared the other end of the alleyway, to make a break into the streets, only for another beskar'gam laden foe to stand in his path. He skidded to a halt. He excepted his fate and closed his eyes. Wherever he went, it had to be better than this planet.
Meanwhile, the hunter paused in her tracks. another vod? She lowered the vambrace she had raised towards the bandit and watched for the figure's next action.
