HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The castle that came to be known as The Dread Citadel was built by the Sith exiles who colonized the world following their defeat in the Great Hyperspace War. It's original purpose is thought to be similar to the one it holds today, as a fortress, a palace, and a place where Sith Sorcerers could practice their art. It is believed that the powerful dark side magic performed in its halls is part of the reason why the building was able to survive the sundering of the planet, though the castle's occupants did not last for long following the destruction of their world. After the last remaining Sith in the castle died, it fell into ruin.
The Disciples of Kascalion Giedfield, collectively known as the Dread Ascendancy, claimed the castle shortly after their alliance with the Keepers of the Sith Code. Darth Vinaze, a former Keeper, had been to Sepulcher previously and was aware of the ruins. Wishing to share the immense dark energy of Sepulcher with Kascalion, Vinaze led a group of acolytes to inhabit the ruins. The last couple of years have been spent rebuilding the crumbling foundations and what's left of the walls.
