"The Republic needs heroes."
Many years ago, the first generation of Dreadguard was created to stomp out the last holdouts of the Sith Empire. Ten thousand cloned men and women were selectively bred, augmented, and stripped of their force sensitivity by the Architects and their Kaminoan benefactors. These soldiers became the fist of the Confederacy, and at their height, were the most effective military in the galaxy.
United in brotherhood and battle, the Dreadguard swept across the southern half of the galaxy, slaughtering Sith Warlords and annihilating their holdings in the name of freedom for all people of the galaxy.
They brought peace to the southern systems and served alongside both the Republic and the Confederacy against Sith intrusions.
The first generation has since been disbanded, their debt to the galaxy paid in full. In their place rose the Dreadguard MK-II's, soldiers from every galactic power united in their struggle to repel the Kra'ktharok, a sect of sentient Sithspawn that threatened to destroy entire worlds.
Together with the ASA's former leader, they crushed the Kra'ktharok warlords, but not without great cost. The Mark-II's suffered casualties that rendered them incapable of continuing as a military force.
Since then, the last few survivors have fought alongside the Republic on Kashhyyk and Prakith, helped the Ession forces secure their world as a Republic ally on the outer rim, and offered the last few of their men as guardsmen for the Senate Chief.
Now, the time has come for the next generation to take up the sword. Two attempts at Vong Shaping over fifteen thousand subjects has helped the Archiects to perfect the art, and humanoids of all races are now eligible.
These Dreadguard will be trained as MK-III's by Commander Ontanas and the remaining DG-II's. They will be given everything they could possibly need to combat the Sith Lords and their Vong allies, including lightsaber resistant armor, updated weapons systems, artificial intelligence units, and whatever else might be required.
The Republic needs heroes. Sign up today, and prove your dedication to the cause.
Disclaimer: Sentient beings between the ages of fifteen and thirty five are eligible. Dreadguard personal will be trained under the guidance of current leadership as long as seen fit. Citizens of all galactic powers may apply, but are subject to physiatric evaluation by current leadership to reduce the possibility of problem children.
Dreadguard will respect the Republic chain of command, but ultimately yield to Dreadguard commanders and the Chief of the Senate.
Augmentations to bodily function are minor. Muscle mass and bone strength will be increased moderately to deal with the weight of the Mark-6 armor.
Subjects will be Vong shaped. This process will render the subject entirely outside of the force. Those who hold strong belief in afterlife in the force need not apply. Possibility of death during the process has been lowered after excessive testing, but the body's rejection of the augmentations and genetic changes can still prove fatal.
Death is the only sacrifice greater than becoming a Dreadguard. You will become a living weapon, the Republic's best. You will be called to serve so long as the Republic needs you. Dreadguard will not be relieved of duty save for scheduled leave time, or until the Republic deems the Dreadguard's duty has been done. Choose wisely.
