The Drunkard and the Knight (Songsteel Challenge)@

Jaryn Rhane, had ran away.
He had left his friends behind.
The drunk had told himself, he'd live to fight another day.
But, the man knew now he had been blind.
And his thoughts were rich with dismay.
As his mental state declined.
He would see his goal through to the end, he'd make the sith pay.
However, once again he feared he was blind.
Be as it may,
it wouldn't be just for his own kind.
It would be for all the sith had hurt that day.

The drunk sat still at his stable, questioning the stability of his mind. Sitting by a man clad in red armour, Jaryn refused to pay. And, therefore the bartender was not so kind. This led to Jaryn's aggravation which caused him to throw the bartender away. This would lead to a fight, for this Jaryn's sabers would not be so difficult to find.

Great another man in armor
Why couldn't they just dress for the occasion?
Were they lacking in the man department, or something more?
Who wears armor to bar, I mean maybe an inn
None of that mattered anymore
This man was a target, a job
When this was over he would be on the floor
Taken back and bound like hog

Rexus wasn't much for bar fights, the last one he had been in chasing a mark ended very badly. He had been thrown around and beaten pretty badly. But today would hopefully be different, hopefully this one could be reasoned with. Wearing a grey wooley overcoat and jeans the former imperial knight walked into the bar and began to unbutton it. He noticed his target a Mister Rhane his name was, it really didn't matter to Rex he was a job and a target so personal feelings couldn't get in the way. "Great, armor. Why do they always have to wear freaking armor." He muttered to himself and sighed watching the bartender be thrown away by the man staggering across the room. Reaching out over the bar Rexus grabbed a bottle of rum and sat it on the wood in front of him. "One moment I will be right with you." Unscrewing the cap on the bottle Rexus gave it a weak smile a opened the top of the harsh smelling liquid. Taking a quick sip Rexus raised the bottle up with his lips pressed to it then set it back down on the table.

Turning around he looked at the man in armor and sighed before speaking. "Mister Rhane." He said in a calm yet assertive tone. "It's my job to take you in, your name has been called by people with power and I need you to come with me." Unbuttoning his coat some more Rexus took one sleeve off slowly. "But given your current inability to not be drunk I'm sure it's going to come down to a fight." Slowly sliding off the other sleeve as well the black T shirt with the letters BAMF shined white on his torso, underneath that lay an obscene gesture of a middle finger plastered on the shirt.

Reaching behind him Rexus pulled out a metal gauntlet and slipped it on his hand letting it go half way up his forearm. Gliding his hand towards his belt the man grabbed his lightsaber and gripped it in his horribly scared hand. "You will be treated humanly and if you comply they will not torture you." In a snapping hiss the silver blade extended from it's hilt and shined against the white letters of the shirt "So what's it going to be?" He asked his opponent with a small frown on his face

Jaryn was in no position to speak telepathically to the man.
He was speech-impaired after all!
He raised a hand, one finger outstretched to express his plan.
Hoping the collector of sorts would play ball.
Jaryn put his hands together, and the healing process began.
Soon Jaryn was sobered up, whilst the man kept at bay.
So the now Sobered ex-master began his telepathic scan.
-Ah, [member="Rexus Drath"]....Ex-Imperial Knight...interesting, I'll pay for the damage and we can all walk away....what do you say?-
Hopefully the man would listen and wouldn't leave with a purple tan.

With a heavy sigh Rex could already tell he was "that" kind of master, the one that was so secure in his own power that he thought he was all but untouchable. The armor would be tough to get around, would have to leave all hand to hand attacks with his armored fist. Which was to say limiting in the long run. "I'm afraid it doesn't work like that Mister Rhane, you see your name has been called and it's my job to get you. If I walk away that soils my reputation with my employers. If I fail to catch you it means that I don't get paid as much." Grabbing his lightsaber tightly for a moment he soon after loosened the grip and twirled the blade with a humming noise. "Don't get me wrong it's nothing personal Mister Rhane." Changing his body language to that of a more defensive stance Rexus moved forward a few feet slowly

Readying himself in a kendo stance Rex pointed his gloved hand and smiled. "Last chance buttercup, what's it going to be?" Rex nodded his head slowly before raising the veil on his mind. He was an expert mentalist and was capable of destroying the minds of lesser people. However this man was a lot bigger and stronger in the force and so mental attacks were not an option. All he could do was raise the defenses on his brain so he could not be tempted or swayed by his suggestions or attacks.

Feeling the soft wait of his KD-20 pistol on his ankle the knight had his back up weapon in case things went south. He had become accustom to fighting opponents who needed to compensate with armor so he was coming prepared to this battle. Like it or not he was not leaving nor going down without a fight first

(Jaryn is a great telepathic, so he may be able to overwhelm your mental defenses. Up to you however. Also, the armour is basically just for show currently.)

Jaryn didn't wish to fight.
But in the end, it was this [member="Rexus Drath"]'s decision.
The master just might.
He just might ignite his blade with some flashy precision.
Jaryn wasn't taking any particular stance, he wasn't quite ready to fight.
The ex-master closed his eyes behind his helm and entered a quiet state of mind, all traffic stopped and he had a clear vision.
Everything was moving, his arms in motion as his blades leaped from their holsters into either hand, red and blue sabers activating; everything was in flight.
The unsuspecting Knight would suffer a ghastly collision.
The knight, was about to feel the silenced cascades bite.

Game time, with a sneer upon his face and wind at his feet
The Imperial Knight charged forward saber held high
With a bounds and leaps over tables and stools he struck down at the master like a scythe to wheat
His opponent was strong that was no lie
But Rex had fought worse and not always come out on top
As he brought his saber down Rex focused his eyes on Rhanes hands
The sabers he bore would be a challenge to stop
However Rex had a few tricks of his own and not just a hand stand

Jaryn tapped into his inner energies.
His eyes closed, he brought up a single blade to meet his opponent.
This man was one of jaryn's many enemies.
However, as both blades connected Jaryn leaped up into the air and spun on the axis' of the blade's and landed behind [member="Rexus Drath"], this transpired in a single moment.
With this momentum, Jaryn brought across his blade towards his opponent, he held no sympathy; Rexus was simply one of many entities.
However, this was attack was merely a component.
What was to follow was a much larger series of attacks that would challenge their power and personal identities.

The man was fast and nimble he had blocked his attack the soared over Rex
This was not good the man was behind him now aiming a strike at his back
Rearing his arm back as much as it could stretch the muscles in his arm straining to flex.
With whizz and the smell of burning hair the knight blocked the attack from behind his back
However this left him at an awkward angle with one arm twisted above his head
His enemy was behind him, he needed to reposition himself
Frustrated Rex did his best not to see red
Twisting around Rex leaped to the side accidentally hitting a shelf
Regaing his balance Rex faced his target
Reaching out with the force the bar shook and the booze flew at Rhane
Ounces and ounces of hard glass bottles flew then Rex lept
Aiming his saber down in a slash he joined the storm of bottles that came down like rain

This man wasn't slow.
He leaped and flew away.
And was ready to deliver a deadly blow.
Thus, he expected Jaryn to stay.
The drunkard wasn't so foolish to do so, he stood still only a moment to go.
Jaryn leaped forward, his speed empowered by his mastery of the force to elevate his speed,
becoming a blur of red, blue and green light, but he'd keep at bay.
Outstretching his body, so that his feet reached the
Knight first and along with that his sabers cutting across in a horizontal fashion in an
attempt to cut through [member="Rexus Drath"], so fast he was nothing but a blur to the slow.
Be that as it may, this Knight he would slay.

No time, there was no time to bring the saber down for a block
Only moments to so something to spare his life
Time was fleeting and the seconds slowed on the clock
The ace! The ace to save his life his glove would help end the strife.
Cortosis, the Cortosis glove of the imperial knights
Reaching down Rex made an attempt to make contact with sabers
If the sabers went out he would Rhane would be in for a fright
Rex drew in his breath and tried not to sound labored

One of Jaryn's sabers was stopped by a cortosis weave gauntlet, confirming the drunk's suspicions.
However, the other missed the gauntlet by a few inches and looked as though it cut into the armour and possibly through flesh.
However Jaryn could not be entirely certain as sparks flew off in every direction and may have affected his precision.
If Jaryn's red saber had made contact, the wound would be fresh.
This would affect the following decision.
Jaryn had his feet firmly pressed against the man's waist and used the force to push himself away from the man.
and subsequently likely throwing him into the wall behind them, what a thresh.
Then, the drunk fell to the ground and landed firmly with both feet and retained a calm condition.

The saber had just glanced over Rexus' arm
Burning the skin and almost an inch of meat
It hurt but did almost no harm
However the push he could not beat
Soaring through the air Rexus slammed against the wall
Coughing a gasp of air left lungs
He wanted to lay there for a moment and curl into a ball
The force hit him hard but reaching up to a table he clung.
"You're not easy on me are you?" Rexus said
Rising he locked eyes back on Rhane
Reigniting his saber he stepped forward still not dead
Reaching out with he threw a table at his opponent then charged, iron and wood flew at him hopefully it would bring pain.

Jaryn relocated both of his sabers to his belt as it became more and more clear he would not need his sabers.
Jaryn dashed backwards to evade the oncoming projectile.
Jaryn raised his hand and slowed the projectile of the table,
but this was only soon after [member="Rexus Drath"] had thrown the object,
the drunk would show the fruit of his labours.
Jaryn unleashed a furious blast of force lightning towards the chest of his opponent, as he was no jedi, he was an exile.

The lightning was all that was needed to Rex
Lifting his saber he caught the saber caught the lightning
He was stuck as if trapped in a witches hex
The blue light corsed up and was very stifling
Sneering Rexus lifted his head saw blue and red lights
The police had come and to apprehend them
So this meant Rexus had to take flight
From this battle wounds would stem
"This isn't over!" Rex said
Breaking off from the blast he ran
And out the back door he fled
Defeated today but all we can do is do the best we can.

Jaryn was firm as he pushed back his attacker.
However sirens rang and soon his opponent was running for his life.
The drunk could've just been stabbed and taken care of quickly,
Jaryn needed better physical protection, thankfull his opponent had been a slacker.
Otherwise he could be cut down with a simple knife.

Jaryn retreated from the scene himself, there was no reason to remain. Jaryn slipped away quickly before anyone arrived on the scene.
