The Duanna Lake House
Name: The plot of land on which it is built is called Lake Celestial. However, it is more commonly called the Duanna Lake House.

Classification: Residential
Location: The Duanna Lake house is located on the planet Naboo. It is built on a small lake and lies approximately 10 miles away from the capital Theed. The Solleu River runs near the lake house (approximately 3 miles away) making travel to Theed by boat very simple.
Affiliation: Officially owned by the Duanna family, it is however Effie who resides there and runs it.
Description: The Duanna Lake house was built on a small lake known as Lake Celestial and was made to resemble a miniature palace. The lake house was built entirely with pale white bricks as the Duanna family felt it added to the serene surroundings. To reach the main entrance of the house you must cross the bridge over the lake shown in the picture above. Alternatively you can cross the river in a small boat and enter under the pillared bridge where a small pier lies.
Rooms included in the house:
- Four master bedrooms and four guest bedrooms.
- Four En suite bathrooms for the master bedrooms and two guest bathrooms.
- A Bath/spa house
- A Library
- Two dinning rooms. A large one for hosting and smaller family one
- Two gardens and a courtyard
- One function hall
- One small botanical garden
History: Unlike a lot of buildings in Naboo, The Duanna Lake House is fairly young. The lake house has always been owned by the Duanna family and it was Effie's great grandparents who commissioned the house. Originally Lake Celestial was owned by another family who were friends with the Duanna's and they themselves had intended to build their own home on it. Unfortunately a scandal tore the original owners family apart and plans to build their own home were scrapped. To avoid the hassles of selling this land on the market, the original owner offered friends first. The Duanna's had always been interested in the land so they graciously accepted the offer.
The lake house was designed by Effie's great grandfather who fortunately happened to be an architect.The house was scheduled to be completed in 6 years time when building began, however construction was halted in the 4th year after the costs went over budget. After about 3 years of the house laying uncompleted Effie's great grandmother passed away. Grieving, Effie's great grandfather gave up on the project and it was taken over by his son and his son's wife (Effie's grandparents). Although a lot of the lake house had already been built, it took Effie's grandparents 3 years to complete it as the the buildings sustained damage due to being left for years.
After Effie's grandparents passed away the lake house was passed on to their son (Effie's dad). Effie was born and raised in the Duanna Lake house so it holds great meaning to her. Effie's parents both moved out of the house when she was 18 as a result of their failing marriage and complicated relationship with their daughter. They knew how much Effie loved the house and what it meant to her. Instead of selling the house Effie's parents decided to let her have it, the only drawback being that they still legally own it and could sell if they did change their mind.
