Strengths:
- New Technology: This is a new technology that no one in the galaxy has seen before.
- Unique: Only a few members of the Faction have it.
- Slicer Proof: Should someone try to slice into it, the implant and the ear piece would short out. Well the ear piece would short out, but the implant would explode.
Weaknesses:
- Explosive Reaction: An explosive reaction to Slicers. This could be turned against them. Furthermore the explosive inside could be triggered by an intense shock to the nervous system, such as the loss of a limb or something.
- Prototype: The device is a prototype and a bit buggy
Description:
Studies of the past communications technology used by the various factions led to one glaring problem. All of the devices were oh so easily stolen, or turned against the person. Studies of the "implanted comlinks" showed that these were too dangerous of a device and could if shut down improperly cause some serious and lasting harm to the individual. From there Cameron realized that he needed something innovative as a solution to that problem. With that in mind he hit upon a solution of sorts. An implant was created that "synced" with the external commlink, providing it a unique frequency that could not be accessed without the implant. Due to this, the Fulcrum Multi Systems Incorporated possesses comm links on a frequency that is not so easy for people to gain access to given the technology is new and has never been seen before by anyone actually.
