The EDR Building (Shadow Dynasty/Ask)

The room was busy with chatter as the Shinigami was a great success, but now it was time to move to the next project. Romeo was falling close a sleep when one of his engineers spoke out about radar.
"Wait, say that again, what about radar?" Romeo said with his eyes closed, and leaning back. The room became quiet as the king spoke, and all looked from the king to the engineer. "Well I was saying, that maybe we could make a radar that can make 3D maps..." He said with a slight quiver in his voice. He was new to the team, and very fearful of what might happen.
"Okay, I am listening, continue." The King replied back, eyes still closed.
"Well, there is a few ways we could do it, we could use..sound maybe? Encase in something so it can travel in space?" Romeo chuckled, and shook his head while opening his eyes. "That's too much work, try again."
The new guy, swallowed hard, and sweat began to form on his forehead. "Electromagnetism....we can pulsate electromagnetic waves, and analyze what they wash over to make a 3D map from it, since it can pass through a mass, there is nothing to keep it from doing that.." Romeo smiled, and walked up to the young guy. The man flinched as Romeo came up on him.
"That, my dear friend, is an excellent idea." He turned to look at the rest of the team, "Alright so people start beginning making ideas, and brainstorming how we can do this. New guy, you will be head of this project." He turned, and gently smacked the man's back. He jumped just a little, a small smile crossing his face.

A few days later, Romeo was notified by the development team that they had found a way to use the radiation waves through a microwave emitter. This pleased Romeo, an he quickly made his way back to them. "What is the status, what we are doing? Reports people." He said quickly. The men all looked at him and smiled. "Sir, it's not what we are going to do, it's what we already did sir." One turned to pull a cart over to them, and removed the sheet over it. On it was a small ball, well half, with tiny particle emitters. "We have already made a small prototype that we test drive right now as we speak sir. Please follow us." To which they they all stood up, and began to walk to the test chambers with Romeo following after them.
When they got into the chamber, a man wearing a radiation suit and a personal stealth unit.
"What we will be doing is having him activate his stealth unit, and then use the EDR to cover him in particles of radiation, and with the sensor nodes connected to the map, we will then have the computer build a three-d model of the particles' surface area."

Mira sat and watched all this happen, not saying a word. She was sitting at a computer in the control center for this radiation contraption, slightly bored. She wasn't sure what it was supposed to do, and she didn't see why she should care. But seeing her master all happy (as happy as he could get) and excited for it, it made her hold her tongue. She couldn't say anything against his idea, no matter how little she knew. She did know that this was cutting into training time, but again, she wouldn't call Romeo out on that. All she would do is sit and watch.

As the man suddenly messed with the standard stealth unit, he became...well...invisible to the naked eye. The team of scientist then began to turn the EDR on, having to point it in his general direction. "Would you please move to a different location sir so that you are not in the same place as before?" To which everyone was unsure if he had moved. "Now see, when it emits the waves, or the "frames", its nothing more but electromagnetism doing what it does, it hits things, covers it in it's signature radiation. We use this sensor node to pick up on those left overs, and create a map as so." the EDR was finally on, then a wave of...well again...invisible radiation, nonlethal to most beings, was sent forward. "We made a frame that would only hit the room ahead. So it should be very clear." The three-d map suddenly began to shift, and activate. Upon it, the room, three walls, and a person, the man, appeared in a red hue of particles being used as pixels.
"IT WORKS!" Romeo explained in excitement. "He moved to the left corner!" The Vahla turned to his apprentice. "This is cutting edge timeless technology! Imagine how this will change the efforts of space combat, and exploration!" he turned back to the scientist. "When can we can make larger versions to be placed on ships?"
The scientist looked at one another. "We're not sure. We would need quite a bit of time to make something on a larger scale." To which Romeo tched at them.

Mira still didn't get what all the excitement was about. So they put dots of a man in a room on a screen. Big deal. Maybe Mira didn't get it because she was young, or inexperienced about the world. Her first memories were on a starship and she's been in multiple ever since. Romeo explained it to her, but still. Space combat and exploration. Two things Mira knew nothing about. She wasn't even that trained in normal combat, let alone in space. And she has barely set foot on any planets, she wasn't piloting the ship. She wasn't an explorer. All she was doing was following her master around and focusing on training, which wasn't actually happening because of this machine. Like putting dots on a screen would help with space travel.

But she had never seen her master this happy. She never made him this happy that's for sure. If she never did, but this machine did...he must like the contraption more than her. It irritated, annoyed, disgusted Mira to no end. But....she couldn't ruin his fun. So she stayed quiet. Like always.
