The Emperor's new clothes (complete)

She had to look it up on the map to know where it was, Setus Prime it was not her first time traveling to the Outer Rim to meet with a client. She had a few that requested to meet in person. They had turned into excellent clients and well worth the extra effort.

The transport she traveled on was easing through space a gentle thrum of the engines could be felt throughout the ship. It was lulling her to sleep. She looked again to see the name of the client Emperor [member="Sirius Nova"] . Emperor that had some interesting connotations to it.

What kind of Emperor was he? Palpatine type, or something they had never seen. Claire smiled and asked for a drink while she read. He wanted a few suits she had several that were quite appealing and had an advantage of a level of protection. The special weaves had turned into a whole new division for Contessa.

It was a long flight, Claire sat back sliding her fingers over the data pad closing it out. A nap would help.

Sometime later Claire's ship was on approaching clearing with Setus Prime where to land, and what their intentions were. She wondered should she have said Countess Organa of Alderaan, or Ambassador Organa....no to much pretense. She would remain Claire, CEO and Designer for Contessa.

A couple of small corvettes arrived near the transport and sent out a transmission offering to bring the ship safely to Setus Prime so that she could meet with the Emperor. When she had landed on the planet, soldiers met with her. "We are to escort you to the Emperor. You will have a lot of lucrative business deals, including if he is pleased by your designs, making designs for uniforms for the military of this world." said the Soldiers, as they led her to the palace of the Emperor. She could see Sirius was clad in a ragged looking martial artist Gi that had clearly seen better days, as he didn't have anything in the way of Formal Wear at present.

Claire nodded and smiled making sure to keep her datapad with all her designs on it with her. The escort showed up quickly ensuring that the Alderaan ship did not wander anywhere it was not supposed to and that it made it to the meeting with the Emperor.

The voices over the ship to ship communications were short and clipped. She didn't really expect less from the military that was the way they were trained to be direct and on point. Claire took a few deep breaths to make sure she remained calm and centered. She was always nervous around new clients.

Once they were on the ground Claire exited the ship alone, her staff would stay on the ship. She found in many situations that they were often seen as threatening making speaking difficult and tense.

Once they took her to the audience with the Emperor she found herself a bit taken back, his clothes were...a bit...worn. He obviously needed a few new things but she wondered was Setus Prime in financial difficulty?

"Your Majesty" Claire sunk down giving her best curtsy to the Emperor, without looking up, "I'm Claire Organa of Contessa, I believe we have an appointment" Then she looked up and smiled at him as she slowly rose to her full height again.

"No need to bow for me. You're probably concerned about us being in financial difficulty... no. It's just that we haven't had much contact with the outside world until recently. The Gulag Plague of about 400 years or so hit the planet particularly hard, and made it to where we're still rebuilding, and working on engineering new crops, and food supplies for the world. We've got some working now, but we don't have much in the way of plants that are good for fabric...yet. Nor animals that can produce webbing or anything that can be used for fabric. A problem I will have to later rectify when I have half the chance to get off this world."

Sirius had been really running himself to exhaustion with all he'd been trying to do in order to fix Setus Prime up and make the planet presentable to the Galaxy. "Yes, to answer your question. We do have an appointment. If I like what you prepare, as you've heard from the soldiers, many lucrative deals could await you in the future." He'd sigh as he led her to a chamber made for tailors that normally worked for him, but were sick with the Flu.

"Today, you've been called in to make me new outfits. I need one for Formal Wear, one for casual wear, a couple for training purposes, and if possible, one for combat."

Sirius then looked at her for a moment. "So tell me, [member="Claire Organa"]. Do you need any special supplies?" asked Sirius. "And while this is just my personal preference, could you add a hidden pocket or three to the outfits to conceal weapons, in the case of the Formal and Casual Wear, and Combat Wear?" asked Sirius.

He'd look down for a moment, and then fake a smile.

This was a lot to take in quickly she nodded as she listened. "Special materials, no I can get what I need for clothing. When you say conceal weapons, exactly how do you mean, like in a pocket, or undetectable electronic devices? Cause pockets I can do, electronics are out of my league. I'm a clothing designer by all accounts sometimes even just a seamstress."

She followed along trying to keep up, "formal, informal, training.............now combat you'll have to explain to me' She had a feeling he needed an armorer more than he needed a seamstress but maybe she knew someone...in the business, and then there were so many other variables.

She smiled, "Yes the soldier mentioned something about it but I think first your clothes should be first" She took a deep breath, "Do you have a color in mind?" She had to ask the last customer wanted purple and to this day she didn't ask why.

"Black with either gold or bronze trim for the outfits, all of them," said Sirius. Keeping the attire simple was best, so replacing it would be easy if the outfits were damaged. Sirius knew that much and was going to take steps to be prepared in case the clothing he was going to pay for was going to be damaged. "In a pocket, but with Cortosis or Phrik in the pocket, as I plan on it storing a Lightsaber, in the case of emergency situations," admitted Sirius. "As to combat, you'll be making the "Fabric" part of the outfit, while I'll have the Narrikian Royal Engineering Corporation design the actual armor for my usage so that I am ready," admitted Sirius.

"What do you think of that idea?" asked Sirius to her.

Claire paused, "I will have to see what it takes to do phrik in a pocket granted its a small amount but it would have to change to be pliable enough to line a pocket.{ She was trying to make the images on her datapad.

"Colors aren't an issue. And yes I can make clothing how you augment them is up to you I'll have to leave enough room for any armor you place in there" This wasn't just a simple come measure me for suits appointment. He really wanted protective clothing. Some she could do...she wasn't sure about the rest.

"Do you have a time frame you would like these done in?" She had a sneaking feeling but she'd wait.

"As soon as you can get the clothing done, I will expect it. "

It was good that she was willing to work with him, it meant that he'd made the right call hiring her. Of course certain sacrifices, such as finding someone else to do the alchemy or Alkahest or whatever that the armor was going to need before being added to the clothing, to make it as lightweight as possible, but still durable enough to survive a lot of stuff was essential. He'd then say.

"Of course, you probably need my measurements..."

He'd stretch out his arms. "Shall we get that out of the way?"

He would expect it. She never really worked under that kind of a timeline but she would do her best.

His measurements, she smiled, as she pulled a small scanner from her pocket and entered into a program in her datapad, "hold still" She walked slowly around him while the scanner took measurements. She no longer had to use a tape measure business had been good enough for her to upgrade some of her equipment.

She waited till the app said complete, "Ok I got it, I just need time to put it together. Perhaps our next meeting should be on Alderaan in my shop" She smiled not trying to be facetious but to be serious in her tone.

Additionally she still had not gotten her own ship, that was in the works.

"Aldernaan, it is!" said Sirius. Going to another world was always interesting, and now that she had his measurements she could commence work on the clothing he needed. Having a few outfits couldn't hurt, and would most certainly help him with his potential plans. Sirius smiled at her, before hugging her for a moment, blushing and coughing to hide it, before letting go. She was beautiful, he had to admit that much. With that in mind, he'd begin to say to her. "You should head off world, back to your home to do your work."
