The End Of Act One: RIP Calder Icehammer

With this post here I mark the end of the chapter of Calder as the Icehammer, and while this isn't the end of the Icehammer story it was pretty fun to write the big Burr, even if I didn't do all that much with him as I have with my other characters. His ending was fitting to me and like I said, I plan to continue the story of the Icehammer with a new character to follow in his footsteps.

So what did ya think of the Burr? What did ya like, what did ya not, the usual question or two. He was my favorite character of mine so far and I'm curious if he might have been one of yours!

Knowing that this will be flooded with bear puns in approximately 15 seconds, here a bit of real feedback:

I liked reading Calder stuff from time to time, his species alone was always standout enough for me to get interested. I think you wrote him well, and I'm also happy that you actually finished the arc of an character other then Krest lol.

Having written with Calder in the Jedi order I can say the way you wrote him was entertaining, plus the realism you added with a bear almost having a heatstroke is perfect. Other than that I'm going to miss the big bear and can't wait to see where the Icehammer story goes next.

I was genuinely disappointed by his death, not by any lack of skill in writing or creativity on your part what-so-ever but the share fact that we lost our Burr and my War Mount that I planned to line with armor and charge into battle like that one kids movie...-Something about a Golden Compass or some such.
Having shared a good number of threads with you now, the Character I felt quite attached to as a peer and friend of Veiere's. He was a giant, strong yet genuine and compassionate. He shared a good number of IC short-comings like any good character should as well as some notable strengths (throwing people across the room with a single handed cleave of that hammer of yours!).
While I've not written a great deal with Krest, I felt Calder was an original piece on Chaos and that's something rare in my opinion.
You did well here, brother
:D
