The Fall Before The Beginning

The Drower Estate,
Vinsoth.

The wind howled, past the windows of the mansion. The various house staff rushed to close each of the windows. Others quickly sweeping the leaves which had flown in up.

Silence filled the entire structure. Nothing but pitter-patters as various members of the house rushed around. Though within the house, was a Chev male named Sargis Drower who had made various bad decisions along his life, choosing to side with the wrong galactic power.

Knock. Knock... Knock.

A sound that rattled throughout the entire house. A butler shuffled to the door opening it ajar, peering out to notice a slender man with piercing white eyes. Though the other noticeable feature about him is his almost gigantic cybernetic arm which pulsed with various gauges and pumps. He stood straight, with his arms behind his back before his lips would creep open.

"Good evening, my name is Iux Dralis. I'm a representative from The Sith Empire. I'm here to speak with..." The man would shuffle revealing a small crumpled note struggling to pronounce the name. "Sarg-is... Drower." With that, he gave a nod out of confirmation. The butler was lost for words before going to shut the door.

In an instant, Iux would slide his robotic arm through the small gap in the door and push the door open with the butler flinging backwards from the sheer force of the officer. Though he would glance to the butler speaking once more "It wasn't a request." As he finished he would turn to the side and lower his head, which would look completely unusual to the others in the room. Though he was expecting something.

A purple mist slowly crept up the steps of the mansion and stepped through the door before slowly transforming in the air into actual-existence. The mist morphed into a tall, pale looking man with long black hair dragging down either side of his head. His eyes piercing into each individual in the room with their dark yellow shade. He would pause, glance up into the ceiling.

Extending his voice through the force, his words would boom around the manner.

There were a few problems associated with being a child. The main one was being sent to your room while father spoke with mother about some important business. Daniel didn't mind too much, his brothers had suffered the same fate. He was more annoyed because he wanted to know what was going on. He wanted to be involved in the fancy business that was being done. He wanted to feel important. He wanted to wear a suit and fit in with his parents.

Of course he wasn't allowed.

He lay out on his bed, staring at a blank space on the celing. It was what he did every single time he parents sent him to his room, he just looked at the random patch of space. He could probably describe how the space had changed over the many years. He wanted to use the time to learn, but of course he wasn't allowed. All he was allowed to learn was fencing. His parents were "posh", that's all they cared about teaching.

It was annoying.

He had been starting to fall asleep when he heard the noise. He made out a few words, the name of his father. He heard a door burst open, he believed it to have come from his brother's room. He didn't know the voice, it sounded threatening. It sounding threatening enough to have scared Daniel. He pulled the duvet up over his head, leaving only his eyes visible. He wanted to know what was going on, why there was a scary voice.

Downstairs, his father would step forward to the visitor. He would glare, prepared.

The Young Sith Knight stood tall in the lobby of the mansion, where Sargis Drower - a man who was publicly known to fund galactic powers such as The Galactic Alliance and The Silver Jedi Order. Venthis' cousin, [member="Darth Carnifex"] would not allow this. The Forgotten Wraith was sent to remove the problem.

Sargis made his way into the lobby, his eyes widening at the sight of Venthis. His two sons, Sargis Jr and Chris soon following behind him. Both of them at his sides. The Prince smiled at the sight. Before he would clap his hands together. His voice returning to its usual volume, "Well, Mr. Drower. It seems we have... a problem." Venthis wandered over to the side of the room, picking up a glass and pouring himself a drink from the wine on show. "By we, I mean... I'm sure you know who I represent." A soft chuckle left Venthis' mouth.

"I do... I... understand." Sargis managed to respond, showing great dismay.

He dropped the glass, it smashing across the ground. Venthis clicked his fingers. His lieutenant would march over and grab one of the servants with his cybernetic arm and toss her over to Venthis. He picked her up by her throat allowing her to dangle for a few moments. "You see, Mr. Drower. Your money... who you believe are sending to the correct cause. It is now mine. Your transactions to the Jedi will cease to exist. Along with each member of your family." He stated clearly dropping the now lifeless corpse of the servant to the ground.

With that, he clicked his fingers again.

"Bring them all out. On their knees in front of the house. Every... one of them." With that he pointed at Sargis, before flicking his finger to the door gesturing for him to follow. Which his sons clearly showed resistance, though Sargis was clever enough to realise there is no escape. He followed, with his head drooped facing the ground.

By now, various of Venthis' soldiers would storm the house from each window smashing through and tearing the house apart. Along with grabbing each resident and dragging them outside. Two soldiers stood outside Daniel's room before kicking the door in and attempting to grab him.

Each of them would be brought out and thrown to the ground in a single line. Soldiers stood behind each of them with blasters in hand. Venthis stood tall at the front however with a huge grin on his face. "They should all be here, sir," Iux said, with a dip of his head to the Prince.

Having his bedroom door kicked in wasn't part of any plans that he knew of.

It was something that father would do to test him, but this didn't appear to be father's work. Father wouldn't point guns at him and order him to his feet. He spent a few moments thinking over his situation. The soldiers obviously didn't belong to father, nor to the people that father associated with. The soliders were obviously here to cause harm, perhaps they were the ones that projected the voice that he had heard previously?

Why did they want his father?

Perhaps father was behind on a payment to some large company? Yet, that didn't make sense because father boasted about owning the biggest and the bestest companies. Bestest, best? Either one of those, Daniel wasn't sure. The soliders continued to order him to his feet, and Daniel couldn't see an easy way out of this. He was stupid, he got told it everyday, but he was clever enough to know that one wrong move would result in his "probable" execution.

He crawled off of his bed, grabbing a jacket from the back of his chair as he walked towards the soldiers. He walked slowly towards them, attempting to stop the shaking in his hands. They guided him down the stairs, a solider in front and a soldier behind with his gun pressed to Daniel's spine. They weren't nice soliders, he was willingly going with them and they still pressed their guns to him.

They led him outside as he tried to quell the shakey hands. They forced him to kneel in front of the obvious leader. Did he have yellow eyes? Daniel was raised not to judge people so he had to assume that it was a race thing. Father looked towards Daniel as if this entire mess was his fault, he was used to the treatment from both father and mother. One of his brothers glared up at the leader, then pointed at Daniel.

"Kill him first!"

Venthis glared to each of the individuals brought out onto their knees. Some crying, some completely motionless. Though Venthis understood their emotions, he seemed to thrive off them. Taking them in within himself. He inhaled deeply through his nose, smiling afterwards then turning to Iux. "Do you smell that?" Venthis asked. Squinting for a moment, as his eyes fell upon Daniel. "Potential." He stated, continuing to follow the boy with his eyes.

Then, a mistake was made.

"Kill him first!"

Called out one of Sargis' children. Venthis smirked, pointing at the boy who spoke out of line for a moment before gesturing for him to come to Venthis. Wriggling his finger towards himself. The boy obeyed and stood next to Venthis. "You never taught your children, manners?" Venthis asked, to Sargis. The young prince, lay a hand on the boy's shoulder and as he did the face of the boy would begin to crack and turn grey until he fell over and began to shake visibly. Then after a few screams and calls for help, he shattered into a pile of dust. Venthis smiled, his teeth visibly showing as his crooked grin spread across his face.

Then he crossed his arms, shaking his head. "Now, you will all face similar fates. Except one." Venthis said, eyeing Sargis. "Mr. Drower, please choose one of the remaining residents to survive." He said, continuing to smile as he was proud of his little game he had constructed. "I do need someone to spread the tale of what happens to enemies of the empire, after all."

"Choose, quickly."

He wasn't surprised his brother volunteered him to go first.

Dirty bantha dung. His brothers always thought him the weakest due to his age. Father thought him the weakest because he was the last born child. Mother thought him the weakest just because she didn't like him. If anyone was doing to die, it made sense that it would be him. He let out a sigh, his hands still vibrating, shaking. He needed to mentally prepare himself for his execution. He wasn't prepared to die.

He looked up.

His brother was at the side of the man, the leader. He was screaming, then he hit the floor. He was screaming, begging for help. Daniel looked towards father who was shaking, he was pale. He wanted to help but he almost knew that he couldn't help. His brother began to crack, his screams louder. A bird in a tree flew away as mother began to let down a tear. Then his brother was gone, replaced by a puddle of ash.

"Mr. Drower, please choose one of the remaining residents to survive."

Father looked up at the man in question, pointing to his wife. It was expected. Father would always choose mother over his sons, mother could breed more sons. Mother let down more tears, clinging to the arm of father. Daniel's ramining brother let down a stream of tears, and Daniel just glared. Daniel just kept looking at the pile of ash. He was shaking, but he refused to cry. He refused to let down tears like the rest of his family.

The smell of pure evil. It flowed through the air, between each and every one of them. The Father pointed to his prize wife. Venthis could tell what kind of man Sargis Drower was. The young prince, slowly raised his hand pointing to the wife. "I'll give you one chance to change your mind." He whispered softly, though it managed to reach Sargis.

"Potential. I can smell it." He stated, squinting for a moment. He marched behind them, leaning over each of their shoulders from behind and smelling them in mock. Each whimpering and crying as he leaned over. Until he reached Daniel. He could sense the strength and potential within the boy. His eyes lit up before he chuckled. "I know which one of you I'm keeping alive." He smirked, wandering back in front of them again.

"But it's definitely not your wife." He laughed afterward along with his men chuckling along with him. "Kill her." He ordered, has one of his men raised his blaster and fired directly into the woman's chest. Sargis glared at her as her body hit the ground.

"Choose again."

Mother was dead.

That hurt. Father chose mother and mother was shot in the face. Daniel watched her limp, lifeless body crumple to the floor. Father looked distraught, two of his family lying dead at his feet. Daniel knew what it was like, feeling responsible for something. He felt responsible every single time his father hit him. He felt responsible for being wrong. He felt responsible for being different, for being unique.

He climbed to his feet, all guns on him. He knew exactly how to win his father's love. His hands were shaking in his pockets, he felt a tear drip down his cheek, the loss of a brother and a mother finally setting in. He cleared his throat, trying to make sure that his voice wouldn't start shaking and cracking as he spoke. He had to finally accept that to earn the love from his father he had to die for his father.

"I...I'll die"

And father offered a grin.

"Yes! Kill that runt and let me and my son go!"
