STRENGTHS

  • Heavy Broadside firepower. A precise strike can destroy or disable most ships smaller than a Frigate.
  • Trident Fire Control makes anything slow enough to be caught by a broadside within 2 kilometers nothing but floating scraps.
  • Advanced Maneuvering Thruster help maximize accuracy with the broadside fire.
  • When not used as a broadside assault ship, can be used as anti-fighter support with its Point defense cannon payload.
  • Ion Charged. The point defense cannons have been changed to an Ion charge making hits also effect electronics.
WEAKNESSES

  • Broadside Cannons are in a fixed position, so any ship that is aware of them or can maneuver quickly, like fighters and small cargo ships can avoid them fairly easily.
  • To attract prey, the ship does not have shields activated until it is ready to spring its trap, so a quick assault on the ship could be very costly.
  • The Trident Fire Control is obsolete outside of 2 Kilometers.
  • The ship depends on its Broadside attack and its thrusters to maneuver it into prime position, so approaching this ship from its two blind spots of directly above or below it can also be very costly.
  • Ion Charged. The point defense cannons have been changed to an Ion charge making hits cause less physical damage.
DESCRIPTION
Much like most self sustaining vessels, it took a lot of time and energy to build this ship. The Cargo pods located on each side of the ship were permanently attached to the ship and each was equipped with an individual broadside cannon mount with retractile hidden cannon cover. At first, it started with only 3 on each side, but as it hunted and captured more and more pirate vessels, its scrapped the weaponry of the ships to equip more cannon mounts until each side had the 12 they have now. The scrapped ships would be towed to the nearest port where they were scrapped or sold to pay for supplies or other needed parts for upgrades. The Fang is a lethal animal. It's stealthy look as a defenseless heavy freighter brings in their prey and once close enough it opens its gun ports and unleashes a deadly broadside to cripple or destroy their foes. Most of interior of the ship was converted into a hanger able to fit 2 squadrons of starfighters to assist in tracking down and destroying pirates. The ship also has a high maneuverability rating but not because it can turn on a dime because it cannot, but because of extensive thrusters to help align the powerful broadside quickly when needed. Lastly, the defenses were upgraded with extra countermeasures, secondary shields, and 2 powerful tractor beams to lock onto their foe and secure them for surrender or destruction by broadside.

Nicely made ship, one small thing, your ratings are underpowered (-3), if you want, you can edit it.
Thank you. I increased the Defense 1 rating and added a few there, increased the hanger by 1 rating adding an additional starfighter squadron, and increased the maneuverability rating by 1. It should be even now. Thank you for your assistance!

Also made an adjustment to the point defense cannons. Made them Ion Charged giving them the strength of extra electronical damage but a weakness of less physical damage.

Also made the squadrons Star Vipers in the hanger. Going to make a submission for them now.
