The Feast and The Feline

"How much time until we arrive?" asked Acaleus laying in the co-pilot sit beside Venus "Stop asking every five minutes the same thing!..." they went out of hyperspace into the atmosphere of Felacat. He had to hire someone to guard his back and someone as Jed would work. The plan was convincing the natives of his good will and creating a small factory in Felacat for the Techno Union for weapons, armors and droids. Acaleus stood up and approach to Jed, in the hangar bay of the AT-120

"I dont need you to be aggresive with the Felacatians. They transform into strong beasts when they get mad and we dont want that do we?" said raising an eyebrow then yawning and streching his arms to the side " We need to discover the present power groups with their leader and see if we get permission of building the factory" in the present time, the Techno Union ships with the materials for the factory where in Roon, waiting for the communication of the assassin to go to the planet

The ship landed on a big field with few trees, close to a city. It had well protected walls, big buildings and the doors where opened for merchants and civilians.

"Your the boss!" Jed replied to Acaleus in his deep resonating voice, acknowledging and understanding the implied order to mind his manners. The hired gun, seated behind the two pilots, was an aged man, a grizzled veteran that was no stranger to conflict. His physical appearance was imposing; a tall man, mightily shouldered and deep of chest, with a massive corded neck and heavily muscled limbs. Despite his brutish appearance, Jed uses his brain as well as his brawn. The agamarian is a talented warrior who overpowers most men with his strength and skill, and his endurance allows him to fight with unfailing ferocity long after most would have collapsed in exhaustion. Probably why he is still alive today. Due to his nomadic career, he also has vast experience in other trades. He is a talented commander, strategist, bounty hunter, as well as a born leader.

The mercenary fingered for his shento cigar and lighter while his eyes focused on the Co pilots busty curves. There was nothing wrong in taking in the sights. He put the cigar to his bearded lips and lit the delicacy, taking in its smoke deep into his lungs before exhaling. Life was short, was best to enjoy all that it had to offer and Jed was well known to enjoy all life's pleasures. But to keep on enjoying such one had to make credits for nothing came free.

So today, he was a hired gun and muscle for his employer. The old man wasn't fussy, he needed the credits and this job seemed to be a cake walk.

"Alright i will be on the atmosphere avoiding the fact that felacatians bandits could easily destroy the ship...." said Venus opening the hangar door. Acaleus walked out with his wrist lightsaber, a simple blaster pistol and his good Skorpion Evo on the back "Hurry up. I dont want that my first night be in the wilds" said to Jed approaching to the city.

Just when they got close, a couple of guards stopped them showing a simple two handed rifle "Who are you and what do you want here?" said one of them. Acaleus raised his hands showing that he was had no arms on his hands, then looking to the back doing signs to his bodyguard. "Hello, my name is Acaleus and he is Jed. We want a meeting with the current leader" "AND WHO YOU DO THING YOU ARE TO REQUEST THAT KIND OF THING" the assassin lower his hands angry "We are newcomers that want to make deals with the locals. So you will let us enter or..."

Someone came and hit the guards in the head without knocking them "You pricks! What did i told you about treating tourist like that? Sorry for them. I told my wife we should send them to the army but well...women" said an adult felicatian smiling and scratching his back neck.

"Hi, name is Acaleus, from the Techno Union. I wanted to know if we can talk with the one in charge" "That could be difficult but it can be achieve. Call me Dorian. Come with me, i will be your tour this day" The two guards left with only a damage pride, while Dorian walked towards the city

The hired gun stood their stoic and ready as his employer engaged in dialogue with the nosy guards. Lonestar's dark iron skin would cover his torso and legs, hugging tight to his chiseled form. His grey mane was tamed and well groomed though his scarred face and bionic eye gave him a menacing look while his right hand hovered over his BTI-CR's hand grip. The SMG style blaster was attached to a quick draw sling-n-harness that kept the weapon snug comfortably to his right side and yet very easy and fast to draw once needed. He had his blaster rifle slung over his shoulder and resting on his back and his heavy blaster pistol holstered off his right thigh. The Bandoliers that criss crossed across his chest held a plethora of goodies, such as grenades and extra power cells for the weapons.... just to name a few.

Jed looked like man that could occupy a small country on his own for some would say he was overdressed for the occasion. He would beg a differ, for one never had enough weapons, explosives or blades and his biggest fear was to die for a lack of shooting. So, he always came prepared and today was no different.

His demeanor did not change when a man in charge showed up and intervened on the guards inquiry. Jed inwardly chuckled as the two got a smack up the backside of head for their embarrassment. The man would escort them past the guards and towards the city. Lonestar was on high alert as he kept vigilant on their surroundings, looking for any and all potential danger that could threaten his employer and ruin his pay day. That was his job, close quarter protection of the asset, hence why he wasn't very vocal with the guards or the man named Dorian. He was paid to be a bodyguard, it was Thorn's business to chit chat and do his business thing.

So he would follow Acaleus and Dorian, his ever watchful eyes scouting and his body ready to pounce with deadly force.

The adult felacatian was big enough for Acaleus to raise his eyes, plus his body was covered with scars of battle. Of course the scars also tell him about how careless Dorian was. It was scary to think in what kind of tiger he would transform. Acaleus also investigated Jed and concluded that all the weapons slow him down. The assassin was simple with this kind of issues, as the weightless weapons would serve the purpose into creating a corpse.

The walls were almost close "Look this is awkward but...you will need to fight and become The Winner of the Gladios. Just a single battle and you can talk to the mayor" "Just that...?" "Yeah both of you must go. This is the final day fo the gladiators until next season. Sorry for customs but thats how the things are" he didnt have much choice. Maybe try the same thing with other cities, but something told Acaleus that the results would be the same "Without my weapons of couse" "Yes. The ball" that mean that he would likely pulllout the wrist lightsaber in the middle of the battle.

"Hey Jed, new plan. Lets bet on ourself and get the payment at the end and we will divide fifty-fifty. What do you say?" Acaleus waited the answer of the mercenary, just when they arrived to the city. Big walls, big buildings, the most veterans guards keeping a watch over the civilians.

"Uhhh!" The old dog's slight confusion rippled in his tone of voice. He was here getting paid for asset protection and now his mark was wanting to and volunteering them both to the pits in where they will engage in gladiatorial combat. This was not part of the contract. There was also one key point that his employer missed in Dorian's explanation of the events to be had.

"Boss, he didn't say anything about this here a-bein' ayy tag team rumble!" He enlighten Thorn, giving him a moment to digest what the country boy from agamar was getting at. "ay may have ta accidentally punch y'all on purpose ayn' take thay full prize as ayy bonus!" His face was cold, emotionless as he played it out to his employer that this gladiator match from the sounds of it will be to the last man standing. And if that was the case, this mercenary was playing for keeps with no quarter given or expected.

"Well i dont like the customs of my people and you are his bodyguard, so you will fight by his side. Thats the only advantage i can give you" said Dorian as the shadow of a big coliseum covered them. Some civilians were walking beside them in the same direction. Probably to buy tickets and get the best spot. Dorian lead them into a small room inside the building that was lighted by torches and guarded by shirtless felicatians with spears "Place your weapons here please" said pointing out a big empty table.

"Once you defeat everything inside the stadium, we will deliver them back to you and take you to our leader, Dehvirahaman" said Dorian waiting for them. Acaleus didnt liked to obey orders from someone unknown, but he needed the permission. The three weapons were placed on top of the table, then turning towards Jed "I know how much you like your weapons but i think they will not scratch them so..."
