- Force Power Enhancement - To any that wields the Fell Star, and those within close proximity to its power, feel within themselves a spark of potential grow within them. The effects of the force and the influence on it by force users becomes amplified proportional to their potential in the force.
Weaknesses:
- Beacon of Jealousy - Given its inherent properties, the Fell Star is a potent artifact that shall attract the attention of many potential owners. However, this is sure to draw conflict wherever it is present, even if it should have an ultimate owner at the end of a given conflict, a new one is sure to follow it. This is not a mere indirect property either, it is inherent to its nature in the force, to call out to would-be possessors and bring them to conflict. It may even entice the formerly loyal to betray one another to possess it for themselves...
DESCRIPTION
The Fell Star has existed for a long time, long enough that all the different tales and stories that it has created throughout its existence are often forgotten or miss-remembered. In some legends, it is a Sith Talisman, in others, it is ascribed as existing well before the formation of the Galactic Republic. Whatever its origins, in the modern age it is known as the spark of war between the Outer Rim Coalition and the Sith Empire. After hundreds of years of missing history, the Fell Star seemed to call out into the galaxy with a vision to the mystic Aing-Tii, warning them against the Sith Empire's possession of the Fell Star. Locating the artifact to be on the icy wasteland of Rhen Var, deep in a Lost Jedi City, the Coalition mobilized its various elements and allies to assault the Imperial world before the Sith Brotherhood found out what their mystics had discovered.
Conflict raged across the surface, a spiritual war waged high above Rhen Var's skies aboard the Behemoth, while Dreypa's Peak collapsed into a bitter battle. The pivotal battle, however, the one warned against by the Aing-Tii was ultimately lost.
While Jedi and Sith alike battle within the ruins of the city, the Coven of Gluttony lead by their atrocious master Darth Voracitos, flooded into the collapsing caverns beneath the icy surface. A noble Jedi Knight known as [member="Argis Volmir"] stood fast against the colossal Sith Lord and fought bravely against long odds. However, the Jedi was not helpless in his battle against the dark side, and severely weakened and relinquished the corpulent one's hold over various Sith spirits in his possession. This was not enough to stop his advance, even as his servants began to parish, and in a final struggle the Jedi delivered a mortal wound against Voracitos...
... but it was a fruitless endeavor, and only served to transform the Sith Lord into a harrowing ghoul of the dark side. Before his soul could be ripped out by the monstrosity Voracitos had become, Argis initiated a noble sacrifice in the hopes of destroying the darkness that infested Rhen Var before him, becoming one with the force in the heat of exploding shadow bombs brought down at his command.
Elsewhere in the Lost City, the Sith Lord [member="Darth Ledgermayne"] dug through the collapsed tunnels, guided by the vision granted to all force users on the planet by the Jedi [member="Zark"] while fighting against [member="Darth Prazutis"] above, came upon the Fell Star in its resting place... above a pile of corpses who had sought the artifact in life. Cradling it in his crystalline hands, the creature placed the artifact in his chest, feeling his potential swell. At that moment, the corpulent one ripped through reality to grace his Sith compatriot, demanding the artifact on the pane of obliteration.
After a brief struggle of will, eventually Darth Ledgermayne overcame the beacon of jealousy long enough for a negotiation, and succumbed to the abominable Voracitos' authority on the condition he shook his hand. This was no simple gesture of respect, as Voracitos mistook it for, this was the sly utilization of Ledgermayne's racial ability to copy every memory Voracitos' ever had within him... an invaluable tool, the Sith Lord would be sure to use in the future.
Now the Fell Star, for all the conflict it has caused so far, rests within the greedy hands of Voracitos, for whatever nefarious purpose he desires to use it for.
