THE FIRST THREE

The Argentum Nexus
Amelia von Sorenn's Office

At the far end of the office sat a singular piece of Obsidian; large in scale, it had been carefully and methodically crafted into the form of a functioning desk, which at the moment contained a number of datapads and various other pieces of paperwork and information neatly organized into their respected piles and stacks. The office was decorated with multiple crystalline containers, each holding some odd or old trinket that the woman had collected over the years of her lengthly life - and continued to add on to every now and then. The polished marble and basalt finish provided a semi-warm and welcoming feeling to the office, while a series of terrariums filled with flora and fauna from across the Confederacy, lined the walls save for the large window that overlooked much of the interior of the habitation dome that the structure resided within. That was where she stood at the moment, golden-yellow hues peering out across the vast interior of the habitation dome, watching the activity that marked the center of the corporation that was Von Sorenn Industries.

In the last few months there had been an idea, one that she had been carefully cultivating, and though she would have preferred to hold this kind of meeting in the comfort of her own home deep in the Lake Country of Naboo - she felt it only proper that such a meeting, especially with the individuals that were invited, was better suited to happen in the massive Space Station that housed the corporation and many of its functions. Her clothing for that day had been much more simple, though still retained a touch of elegance - and was by far, more maneuverable and easy to move in than some of the gowns and dresses that she would often frequent in different social situations. This meeting, however, called for something a bit more relaxed though still showed a more business-oriented frame of mind.

With the sound of a soft clinking noise emitting from the large tabletop, a soft smirk pulled at the edge of her mouth, her attention remaining firmly out the window as she pulled her hands free from her pockets and carefully crossed her arms. Lightly tapping a finger against her forearm, she was still wondering just how the two guests she had invited would take the offer that she was presenting them. She knew of one well enough - both from her tenure as the Grand Marshal of Naval Command and various other run-ins when it came to the operations of the Confederacy and the various social events that they held in their own means to hold things together. Perhaps he would be more open to the offer now with a new and untested Vicelord having taken up the mantle with the expulsion of the previous. It was the second guest that she had little information on, and it had only been recently that the relations between the Confederacy and the Eternal Empire had come to a more neutral and lukewarm standing that she even attempted the meeting.

"Thank you Seventy-Seven..."

She spoke softly while slowly turning around to face the human replica droid that stood before her, a young woman by both looks and actual years. She had become a great help in managing the day-to-day operations of Von Sorenn Industries and its myriad of Subsidiaries and other ventures across the Southern Systems. Stepping forward, she carefully took hold of the crystalline drinking vessel, bringing it to her lips before taking a slow sip of the sanguine liquid within. Savoring the taste for a moment, she peered over the rim of the glass before carefully setting it back down where she had originally taken it from. Her hands carefully brushed over her coat before she took her seat, leaning back just slightly and waiting patiently for the two to arrive.

"And now, we wait..."

She spoke softly as she permitted her smirk to grow just a bit more, tugging at her lips as she brought her hands up to obscure part of her face. Her golden-yellow hues falling upon the large doors that lead into the spacious office.

This invitation struck the woman quite unexpectedly, in the current political situation she did not expect such a thing. Her life didn’t get any easier, as the HPI Consortium now meant an entire planet and companies continued to operate as a stand-alone state on Terraris. What they had not been able to achieve over the centuries on the clan-ruled Nelvaan, they were now expanding here, where the area where they could be settled was not so limited. Terraris has a much larger population than Nelvaan has ever had. All they had to do was do not let to kill each other. That was the harder part.

She came to the meeting with the ENS Crimson Empress. Although she now represented the Consortium and the Terraris, she nevertheless came to the meeting in her usual military uniform, without medals and rankings. For her, the uniform was an everyday wear. That's what she felt best about. It was known from there that she was not here in the Eternal Imperial case that her bodyguards were not Wolfsguards but two Shadow Company soldiers.

She knew that her host was also a soldier, or ex-soldier, of high rank. When they arrived at the meeting room, her two soldiers stopped on either side of the door, only Ingrid entered the room. She glanced quickly through the room to see how safe she was, then walked all the way to her host at a calm, slow pace.

"Lady von Sorenn, welcome! Thank you for the invitation!" she said in her usual cold and military voice as she held out her hand to the woman.
