The Force is Inside You[Hecate&Siobhan]

Hecate Ferrum was somewhat surprised when she had received a notice from Lady Kerrigan to appear at the woman's abode. Firemane's Vice President had been the person who had interviewed her and cleared herself and her sister Echani comrades for acceptance into the company.

At the time the young Echani recalled having been invited over back then as well, for dinner and. . . . other things. This time though, she wasn't certain what exactly her boss was wanting of her when calling her over? Perhaps it was some form of work and she was just being given a personal briefing. That or maybe something had come up that involved her that she was unaware of and needed to address for her employer.

Whatever the case was, Hecate stood in the main foyer as she entered Siobhan and Tegaea's grand villa, waiting to discover what was behind her summons here. Not that she was nervous, Lady kerrigan had seemed very nice before and she couldn't think of a reason to have gotten herself in trouble yet.

The Echani officer would be greeted by a pretty blue Twi'lek in a rather brief dress. "Welcome, Lieutenant. Please go along. The Mistress is waiting for you in the training room," she said warmly, directing Hecate through the foyer of the tastefully opulent villa to the large and well-stocked training hall, which also housed the personal armoury. Upon a command training droids could enter the hall from another section to provide targets, likewise there were training dummies and the like.

These days it was mostly used by Siobhan, though she trained Tempest here as well. Likewise Tegaea's maid and bodyguard, Meidolaon, was free to use it. At the edge of the open space Siobhan was occupied lifting weights, wearing nothing but shorts and a tank top. Clearly she had been going at this for quite a while as she glistened with sweat, her bare, toned arms and legs largely exposed. Her long dark brown mane was tied back so as to not get in the way. Siobhan was not a melee fighter and definitely less muscular than her wife had been during her amazonian mercenary days, but she clearly...kept in shape. She also obviously had a liking for...informal briefings.

"Ah, there you are, Hecate. Good. You and your sisters are settling nicely I hope?" Siobhan asked warmly when she saw the younger woman enter. Her feet were bare and her finely pedicured toenails shun as the hall was cast in light. Her body was heavily scarred, as could clearly be seen, almost two decades of fighting haven left angry, brutal marks upon her, but unbroken.

She set the weights down, eyes focused upon the woman, appraising her. "No problems adjusting to Kaeshana?" With a lazy mental gesture she called a glass of water from a nearby table into her grasp and took a deep gulp from it.

The Ehacni woman smiled at the Twi'lek welcoming her to the villa and offering to take her to her employer in the abode's personal training room. It honestly didn't surprise Hecate to hear that the expansive and impressive home of the company's President and Vice President had its own training hall within it. Especially when knowing the history and feats of said women. It would actually have been more shocking to discover there was no such room.

"Thank you." Following the instructions given to her, Hecate headed towards the training room, and found herself whistling a little at how well equipped the space for it was. Though she also had whistled because of the sight she got of Siobhan working out off to the side in a lovely workout attire that showed a nice view of the woman's toned and glistening limbs as she lifted weights. The Echani wondered how long Lady Kerrigan had been at it before she even got there, by the sweat she would judge a while.

Well this was certainly shaping up into a very informal meeting, or some sort of tactic to scare her a little. In all honestly though it just made Hecate smile a little at the very impressive sight of the toned, but not overly muscular, frame of her employer. There were plenty of scars evident on Siobhan's body, but for a soldier, and especially one from a culture shaped around expression through combat, they only were telling of the power, experience, and even beauty of strength in Firemane's Vice President. "We're settling in quite nicely, thank you for your concern. Aside from slight confusion of what should be done in their off time and how one properly should conduct themselves on this world, my comrades are doing quite alright. They are comfortable in Firemane's facilities, but a few wish to learn how to proceed to see more of this beautiful world's sights. I feel I have able to become more adjusted after having been able to speak with you, Lady Tegaea, and others. Speaking with the maids here last time was very informative and helpful, I honestly admit to having been somewhat pleasantly surprised to be called to your lovely home yet again. Though I confess I don't know the occasion this time."

[member="Hecate"]

"Can't I just...like having you around?" Siobhan asked innocently, once again failing at that little thing called subtlety. She was most certainly appreciating the view, but then...she did like being surrounded by beauty. "Strictly speaking we're not on duty so you don't need to be that formal. I don't bite...unless you want me to," she said with a smile, giving the woman a wink. "After all, we have gotten to know each other...very well, dear. I'm glad to hear you're adjusting well to the planet. Plenty of offworlders experiencing difficulties. Especially since the Eldorai are often not the most welcoming people, though they have reasons for that. As for what to do, remind me to send you a...list of good clubs and sights iin Santaissa. Can also give you an Eldarai dictionary...the language is a bit of a queen to learn."

Siobhan was no linguist, though she had a working knowledge of Huttese due to having lived on the Smuggler's Moon for a while, and since she and Tegaea had moved to Kaeshana she had actually put in an effort to learn the Eldorai's language, so she was capably of conversing in it, albeit with a strong accent and often mangled pronounciation. Siobhan put the glass aside after having gulped down its contents and removed a stray lock of hair from her face, wiping away some sweat with a towel

Then she got up and stretched her muscles slightly before sauntering towards Hecate, looking a bit reminiscent of a predator. There was a knowing gleam in her eyes, as if she was aware of something. "So, tell me, what is it you know about the Force?" That did not at all count as an abrupt change of topic.

[member="Siobhan Kerrigan"]

Smiling as she shook her head greatly amused and feeling rather glad once again she had chosen to seek out the Firemane company, Hecate thoroughly enjoyed speaking with her employer. Siobhan was quite fun, and certainly a different sort of boss than she had ever met or worked under before. It was definitely to the Echani woman's liking, as were a lot of other things about Kaeshana and Firemane. The Eldorai people and company closely working with them were certainly on the right track in her opinion.

"You certainly can just like having me around, I certainly enjoy being around you. In fact I have enjoyed my time on this world very much." Kaeshana was a world with a people and culture she wished her own would try and act more like once again. All the current political and pandering issues really bothered her back on Eshan. Likely there was that here too on Kaeshana, but at least they were offering themselves up to be used by others. Nor was their leadership negligent. "Especially when I got to know you so well, enough to know you do bite. As for the Eldorai, I would enjoy a dictionary. . . . I'm not very good at learning other languages. Could be why I haven't really made many friends to play with here yet."

Grinning as she enjoyed herself, Hecate was a little confused as the topic suddenly changed on her. Although she was somewhat distracted as her eyes drank in Siobhan sauntering over to her. It was hard not to appreciate her employer's fine looks and very obvious appeal. Still, the subject matter was a bit odd, as was the look in Lady Kerrigan's eyes. Hecate hoped this wasn't leading up to an assignment involving Sith incursions or something. "Hmm, I know the force is supposedly manifested in most if not all things according to some. It is most famously wielded by the orders of the Jedi and the Sith, though there have been other groups of force users that have existed. Even today there are many. I also know that you are a known force user of among the highest caliber. There's something I'm missing though isn't there."

[member="Hecate"]

"Why thank you. I'll be sure to...make your time enjoyable," Siobhan said when Hecate referred to her powers. For all her qualities she was a rather vain woman and along with her looks she had a very high opinion of her prowess, both on the battlefield and in bed. Now came the part about explaining the Force, something this writer finds rather awkward since it frankly defied logical analysis and all the lines about how to use it did not go beyond the level of illogical and often contradictory platitudes.

If Hecate was appreciating her fine form, then Siobhan certainly did not mind as she approached the younger woman. "You're correct, the Force is what gives a Jedi or a Sith their power, though they by no means have a monopoly on it, much as they'd love that. It's an energy field created by all living beings. As trite as that sounds, it surrounds and penetrates us," her flesh hand trailed lazily over Hecate's shoulder, giving it a squeeze, "Binds the Galaxy together. All life is connected to it...a few are attuned enough to it so that they can harness its energies, for good or ill, sometimes accomplishing seemingly impossible feats of power," before it travelling down her back and stroking it, her breath brushing against Hecate's ear like a soft caress.

"I sensed something in you when you first arrived, I was not certain then...but I believe you're sensitive to it." There she had dropped the bomb shell. At least Hecate had gotten the chance to appreciate how...skilled Siobhan's fingers were.

[member="Siobhan Kerrigan"]

Oh yes, Hecate did indeed enjoy the opportunity to appreciate how skillful Siobhan was with her finger. it was rather entrancing and distracting to a degree, though at the same time it did serve to ensure the Echani woman's attention was fully devoted to Siobhan as she gave an explanation of the force while Hecate tried her best to keep the red off of her face while she tried to listen. At least Siobhan was giving a very quaint introduction to the force, because in all honesty Hecate knew very well the subject was much much more complicated. There really wasn't any one great way to describe a power that could so much, and wasn't exactly fully known.

Unable to stop from wincing as her boss's warm breathe blew over her ear, Hecate wasn't really understanding or caring where the discussion on the force was going. That is, until Lady Siobhan said she might be sensitive since her employer had sensed something in her when she arrived. Although for a moment the Echani believed the other woman was joking, since she couldn't truly remember any sort of evidence on her end to support such a revelation.

[color=#4040]But then. . . . .Hecate wasn't actually certain how one would be aware of such abilities anyway, and could she really doubt the judgement of someone with similar powers who claimed to know? Especially one who had thus far was quite honest and forward by all appearances and from what she knew. What would Siobhan have to gain from lying to her anyway.[/color]

Still, if this was true then what exactly did it mean. Hecate half considered staying silent longer or saying something off topic to avoid the sudden shift in atmosphere. In all seriousness though there was only really one option to proceed with. Though she did grin and run a hand through Sio's lovely hair quickly to distract her more concerned thoughts. "Then what does that mean? What should I do? I don't know what to do with such knowledge. If I did not know before, how would I begin to know now? I believe what you say, can you tell me the next step then?"

[member="Hecate"]

For her part Siobhan enjoyed the feeling of the Echani's fingers running through her mane, a smile crossing her lips. She found Hecate's reaction rather cute and, unable to stop herself, she cupped the woman's cheek and kissed her deeply. Siobhan kissed the same way as she fought, pure passion and with ferocity, nothing held back.

"Plenty of questions, but that depends upon you, dear," she said softly as she withdrew. "The Force can be a powerful asset, a great weapon in battle...beyond that it can also be lots of fun," she winked knowingly at the younger woman before her tone turned more seriously.

"Equally though it can be a curse if one lets oneself be overtaken by its power and is ruled by it. But believe me when I say I can feel the Force inside you. As for what you should do with it, that's your choice. You can ignore it, though the Force has a habit of making itself known, or...I can teach and instruct you in its use."

Siobhan was no Jedi and her view of the Force was probably less than conventional. As far as she did have clearly defined views, since generally she just took it as she saw and used it, being the exact opposite of the scholar or force philosopher. She did not see non-forcers as inferior though - she would be the first to admit that her wife was the stronger one although her only superpower as a merc had been going to the gym and now it was her brain. However, she did revel and bask in the power she wielded, hence why it struck her as natural that anyone who had the potential to use the Force would want to do so.

Nonetheless, if Hecate did not want to learn the ways of the Force Siobhan would not compel her.

[member="Siobhan Kerrigan"]

Caught off guard as Siobhan grabbed her face and pulled it into a deep and passionate kiss, not that the surprise really mattered. Even if Hecate had seen it coming she wouldn't have resisted. After all, her employer was a very talented kisser. In fact the young Echani enjoyed the lips pressed against her own. Really enjoyed it even, as she was left wanting much more when Siobhan broke the contact off. Perhaps she was just a very eager sort of girl, but Hecate all the same saw nothing wrong with liking intimacy with another lovely lady.

Nonetheless she listened intently as the other woman continued speaking to her. She wondered if the kiss was planned, because it set her mind at ease concerning all the implications she had fretted over a moment ago. To be truthful she saw nothing wrong with having the force as an asset. It was more the fear of becoming less in touch with others she knew who weren't, maybe if they might feel resentful she had discovered such abilities. A silly notion to some maybe, but Hecate realized she did tend to over think matters sometimes.

So she smiled when she Siobhan offered her the choice to receive instruction. That was the sort of offer many people would likely kill for, and she certainly appreciated its value. To show that she moved the hand still lodged in Siobhan's locks to the back of her employer's head as she decided to be a bit bold this time and kiss the other woman back as passionately as she had been a moment before.

"That sounds like an amazing offer." Licking her lips as she pulled back to speak, Hecate smiled at her new master in the ways of the force. "Tell me where to begin then Master. I gladly submit to you as your humble student, teach me how to access the force and more. . . . .I give you my complete devotion." Winking as she said the last, the youn Echani smiled at her teacher.

[member="Hecate"]

Inviting your subordinate to your villa and especially making out with her was probably the exact opposite of professionalism. However, they had already crossed that line before and Siobhan had never respected it in the first place. Otherwise she would not be married to Tegaea after all!

"Submit to me and give me your complete devotion, huh? I like the sound of that," Siobhan said playfully with a broad smile across her lips. She was a strong forcer, one of the most powerful telekinesis masters in the Galaxy, but deep down also an insecure woman who craved adulation and devotion more than almost anything else.

"No need to call me master though. We're not playing those games...yet," another flirtatious wink before she turned serious, gesturing Hecate to sit down on the ground.

"I will not hold up much with theory because I think action is a better way to learn and I'm not here to preach a certain dogma. Forcers draw upon the energies of the Force to harness them. If you want to hear the Force, you need to quiet yourself and reach inside your being, as trite as that sounds. You could compare it to an unending river you drink from. The Force itself has no limits, your ability to use it does. Strong emotions can be a fuel to it, enable you to reach greater heights - if they're controlled. Old school Jedi make the mistake of caging them...and then wind up on a downward spiral when they get overwhelmned by them. I used to be one, but I left their Order long ago. Equally I don't believe there's anything like the 'will of the Force' or similar mystical twaddle."

To her saying you served the will of the Force just seemed like a convenient way to escape personal responsibility or make yourself appear more righteous than you actually were. A jaded view, but then she was a cynical person. She sat down upon the floor, facing Hecate, legs crossed, slightly callused hands put together, in what was the typical meditative position, obviously meaning for the Echani to imitate her stance.

"Now I need you to focus. Take a deep breath and concentrate. Try and clear your mind, focus on one thing alone. The reason you fight, your love for Eshan, devotion to your sisters. It does not really matter what, just what drives you. Concentrate...even if it's frustrating - that's how it should be. You should feel the Force calling you, energies flowing through you."

With a casual mental gesture she levitated a datapad that had presumably been lying around somewhere, in front of Hecate and placed it on the ground. "It'll take time. But then focus on this pad, imagine it rising into the air, visualise it in your mind...then will it to rise. Half of the battle is to muster the necessary will."

[member="Siobhan Kerrigan"]

Professionalism could be overrated sometimes, certainly it was needed most of the time, but Hecate certainly didn't really think Siobhan was doing anything wrong. Although perhaps she was just biased on the matter. After all, she liked the sound of things as well when Siobhan brought it up in that way and winked at her while telling her it wasn't the time to be calling anyone master just yet. Something the young Echani realized would be difficult to do since she had been in the military for a while and even before then there had been a militaristic influence in her home life. Mixing formality and casualty was just something that came and felt natural to Hecate.

Nonetheless she wasn't going to argue that as she sat down as gestured to do so. From her new position she sat cross legged as she focused her attention on what her new teacher was telling her, explaining the state of the matter. The Echani for one, was actually quite happy she wasn't going to get an earful on philosphy in connection to the force. In fact she found herself more excited realizing with Siobhan as her master in the force she would learn purely how to use the force without dilution of black and white, right and wrong. Nothing was inherently anything, it was the context it was put into and done in that created the attachment to those concepts.

That aside though, Hecate tried to follow Siobhan's advice and clear her mind. What to think of she really wasn't sure of at first. Quite honestly there was a lot she felt she could fight for. That drove her on. Ones her new master pointed out being parts of it. . . . .and who said she had confine everything to one concept? What drove her on was her ideal for Eshan, her world and people. A world as proud and sufficient as the Eldorai appeared to be right now. A place for herself and her sister Echani with Eshan maintaining its culture, its identity.

With all that in mind though, when asked to raise the datapad as Siobhan had done, she failed to actually feel anything. Not that Hecate was surprised as she laughed briefly at her failure. Only an idiot would think to succeed on their first try like some kind of overrated messiah. Smiling though as she reclosed her eyes, Hecate focused again on what she needed to do. She still wasn't really certain what she supposed to do to truly touch the force, but now she did feel as though there was something present in her. Siobhan's confidence in making that claim in her sensitivity was quite infectious. It made the young Echani grin as she concentrated on both that confidence and what she wanted to do with it and the power of the force someday for Eshan as she tried visualizing how to raise the datapad again.

Siobhan had little in the way of force dogma because she was a practical woman at heart. She was not the sort to pour over ancient tomes or debate the mysteries of the Force. However, she did have a few ironclad convictions to which she held with what could be described as dogmatic zealotry. One of them being her unrelenting hatred of the Sith and all they stood for. There might be an element of irony there since she tended to play fast and loose with both morality and the dark side. In her grasp the Force became a bludgeon, an invisible hammer of power that she used to beat her enemies and crush them.

Regardless she watched Hecate's first to touch the Force. It went without saying that power did not immediately come to you. Contrary to what certain holovids might teach the public, there was no on/off switch that was activated for you to magically wield the Force. It was a gradual process that took trial and error, a good deal of patience and often was rather frustrating. Of course, Siobhan was the exact opposite of patient. The big, flashy acts of using the Force had come easier to her than those that required a degree of patience and contemplation. Partly because often her passions, even her anger, gave fuel to her power.

"That's good. You're going in the right direction. Keep at it. The Force will come to you. You will grasp it in when it's in reach," she said encouragingly, giving the young lieutenant a short smile.

"Don't stare at the pad, look at it with your mind. Let your mind's eye see it sitting before you. Relax your vision from that which is alive. Focus your mind on the other sensations, open your eyes and look at both worlds. Imagine moving the stone, you will feel the energy you need coming to you and feed on it. Imagine the pad rising into the air."

[member="Siobhan Kerrigan"]

Hecate felt herself grinning at Siobhan's encouragement. Considering all the stories of the exploits of Firemane's Vice President, it was somewhat hard to actually imagine someone generally said to be a violent brute to be a warm and effective teacher. Nonetheless that was how the young Echani was seeing the situation. Siobhan didn't appear to mind her failure, and also didn't look impatient with her yet. The white haired woman was thankful for that, that she had a very practical instructor now.

Because while she hadn't minded her failure either, having pressure put on her by her master certainly wouldn't make things easier. By being able to feel calm she felt she might actually succeed, and Siobhan was making achieving that calm easy. So Hecate considered Siobhan a good teacher. Honestly a better person overall than the rumors implied, though she hadn't known the other woman long so maybe she'd find out about that later. For now though she was content to believe she had uncovered good fortune in receiving training from Lady Kerrigan.

Taking a deep breathe as she closed her eyes again, focusing in on the datapad once more, Hecate tried to grasp that feeling she had before. The one of something being there around her, of imagining how that feeling touched her, and how she wanted to use it, how she wanted to direct it. And so when she believed she could feel that presence again she tried to envision it extending from her, reaching out to the datapad and enveloping it, lifting it, raising it up.

Her forehead scrunching up in concentration, the Echani woman began to notice she was low on breathe just as she heard a wobbling noise in front of her. Opening her eyes to see what was scraping the floor, she beamed seeing it was the datapad twitching a little. Though after she opened her eyes and released her breathe it ceased its movements. She had failed to raise it into the air, even off the floor completely, but she had touched it, and that made her smile. "I failed again. Did I lose my concentration or did I approach it the wrong way? Or do I just need to repeat the process over and over until I strengthen whatever ability I have until I can do it?"

[member="Hecate"]

"You didn't do it wrong, Hecate," Siobhan responded calmly, raising her hand briefly to stroke over her shoulder. "You touched the Force, I felt you do so. That's the first step. The first ones are always the hardest and frustrating. What you have to do is keep at it. Blot everything else out, everything of the physical world, even me being here, close your eyes and keep your concentration. Once you touch the Force, don't let go."

The first steps to using the Force were frustrating. For her part Siobhan had easily gotten annoyed and her first real use of telekinesis had consisted of more or less accidentally throwing the datapad she had been supposed to raise against the wall. Admittedly it had flown for a while, so it sort of counted as a success! The most difficult things was letting go of the old way of doing things and trusting in the Force. It took a great deal of unlearning what one had learned before.

Of course, Siobhan was not the sort to rely solely on magical powers, as many a Jedi seemed to. That the Force did not make you invincibile had been soundly proven when clone troopers gunned down Jedi during Order 66. Or scores of Jedi had been mowed down by battle droids in a certain arena on Geonosis.

[member="Siobhan Kerrigan"]

"Alright then. . . . .although forgetting about a lovely lady being in the room with me is somewhat difficult." Chuckling to herself briefly, Hecate relaxed while she tried to regain that feeling she had had once more. However, considering that Siobhan's hand stroked her shoulder, the young Echani found the task more tedious to do than before, not that she was upset with the slight distraction. Rather she used how she felt about the touch of the other woman increase her level of calm and concentration on looking within.

A part of Hecate did pause as she contemplated how she was actually doing comparatively to other force sensitive beginners. But she quickly put the thoughts aside as she realized she was losing quickly the feeling of touching the force. Taking a deep breathe, her eyes closed, the Echani reached for that center once more. Once she found it she embraced it more openly than before, not clutching for the feeling, but mentally wrapping her arms around it gently as she pulled it close to herself, holding it softly as she explored the feeling of being connected to this new sensitivity of hers.

For a moment, she felt as though she could actually feel the presence of the things around her, including Siobhan. Especially Siobhan. There seemed to be a great density of strength if she were to describe. Something that just felt like a solid force, strong. Taking another breathe, Hecate kept from allowing herself to smile at this slight success if it was even that. Instead she let go of the feeling she had embraced so tightly, intending to let it drift outwards toward where she envisioned the datapad. Guiding the presence extending from her to wrap around the datapad as she imagined it rising between herself and Siobhan.

Feeling pressure as her brows furrowed, Hecate chanced opening her eyes to see a wobbling datapad in the air between Siobhan and herself. Though it dropped as she allowed her excitement over her success to detract from her efforts. Latching onto the feeling before it escaped her, Hecate breathed heavily as she concentrated, face pinching, and pulled on the datapad with the force, watching as the datapad trembled just a hand away from hitting the floor, though she had not brought it back to rise up as before. "It feels. . . .so much different than I would have imagined. . . it kind of hurts to hold it now, maybe I'm just thinking too hard though?"

[member="Hecate"]

"That's normal, dear. It gets easier as time goes by. You have to relax, don't push too hard with your mind. There's times when the Force does need a push, but you need to trust it. You've done very well," Siobhan said warmly.

It was just a small step but her aura radiated pride in her new student's accomplishment, as Hecate would probably feel in the Force. She would have given the woman a kiss if she was not certain that it would not have distracted her. Oh, the young Echani would get...well rewarded later once the training session was over. Mistress Thuella was very demanding, but equally she could be generous when the mood hit her.

"So relax, take a breath and focus your energies upon it. Now try to raise the datapad and don't just keep it up and stationary, but move it through the air. No rush, take your time. You'll find it actually less arduous than just keeping it stationary." Basic telekinesis, but then it along with extrasensory perception formed the basis of any force training and Siobhan regarded the telekinetic arts as the most important. Of course, she was a bit biased in that department!

[member="Siobhan Kerrigan"]

Hecate nodded in response to her new master's praise and advice. She could slightly feel Siobhan's pride at her progress through the connection to the force she was still able to maintain. It made the young Echani feel proud of herself then, to actually make progress and know her teacher was pleased as well. So, taking Siobhan's words to heart, Hecate began to relax her grip on the datapad. Not to allow it to drop, but to be less demanding about it, less controlling of the presence she was utilizing, and more supportive of the idea of it rising up.

Taking several soft breathes as she relaxed her body, the white haired woman felt herself feel incredibly at peace with the situation. The setting for her training was truly the ideal environment. Her master was supportive, there was no ongoing distractions, and regardless of whether she failed or not it wouldn't mean the end of anything. She had lived without the force for so long, being bad at controlling it meant little to her. So she could only get better from there, and it could only be an asset. There was no harm in her failure, but new strength with success.

Reaching outwards with the force now that she was familiar with how she touched the feeling of it, Hecate lightly tapped on the datapad before lifting her touch beneath it upward. The datapad rose slowly, she could tell, though it bobbed a bit. Once she had it to the desire height between her and Siobhan she led it along, pulling it with her guidance to float around herself as she imagined it should. It was still dipping and rising, but it did not fall and it continued to float around.

And that was all that mattered to the Echani woman as she smiled, not daring to open her eyes in case she suddenly failed or discovered she was only imagining what she felt was happening.

"Good girl. Try to levitate it a bit further in the air and gather energy in the Force, then give it a hard push. Will the pad to get slammed across the room. Imagine an invisible hand making it fly. The energies of the Force will respond to your command, focus them upon the pad," Siobhan said warmly. It would be pretty much the basics of a simple force push, a concussive blast of energy being unleashed to propel the pad - which would probably be broken, though that would at least give the cleaning droids something to do.

A good deal of the application of basic telekinesis was will, the rest was effort and energy. Hecate was obviously still taking the first steps into a 'larger world', as Jedi liked to put it, but she was manifesting the will and the faith that she could do things. The rest consisted of letting go of old concepts, finding the right balance between trusting the Force and pushing hard enough when needed.

"Alright Master."

Disregarding the request to leave out the formality, Hecate took another deep breathe as she tried to carry out Siobhan's instructions on flinging the datapad at the wall. First slowing down the motion of the datapad's orbit around her, the young Echani woman guided the object to hover next to her head as gently and smoothly as she could make it. Not quite satisfied with the slight tremors in the datapad's movement, but knowing improvement would probably come with later practice, Hecate began to run through the image in her mind to throw the datapad at the wall.

She pictured it just as Siobhan described, like an invisible hand making it fly. Unfortunately her first instinct was to envision a hand throwing the datapad. So the object appeared to wind back like someone was pulling back their arm to throw a ball, before it was lobbed forward with much less force than was likely desired. Hecate opened her eyes when she heard the datapad crash onto the floor a short distance away. Definitely not having been slammed against the wall. . . . .which was then she realized her employer and teacher must have meant for her to imagine an invisible hand carrying it all the way and slamming it against wall instead.

"This is more difficult than I thought. I think I know what I did wrong though, I tried to throw it like I would if I were using my arm. I should have used the force to carry it into the wall instead right?"

Siobhan would be lying to herself if she claimed that she did not like being called 'Master'. "If we're being formal....I think the right term is 'Mistress'," she said with a playful smirk.

Then she watched her pupil's efforts to levitate and then shoot the datapad. She waited as the younger woman spoke then gave her a short nod. "Pretty much. Invisible hand is a bit of a metaphor, to better visualise things. You let the Force carry the pad and pour your will into guiding it to the destination you have in mind. First attempts are always...imprecise. You're doing well so far."

With her mind she lifted a datapad and levitated it through the air so that it was in view of Hecate. The move came across as casual and ordinary, she did not take her eyes off the Echani while doing it. To be fair, the white haired woman was...rather eye-catching. "Watch and feel the Force while I do this," she said. The datapad stayed still in the air, as if gravity around it had been suspended or it was being kept there by invisible fingers having enclosed themselves around it.

Then ripples were felt in the Force as she used her telekinetic will to shoot the pad across the room and make it crash against the wall. There was great kinetic force behind it and it was propelled at high velocity. Doubtless being struck by the pad would not have been pleasant.

Another object was levitated towards Hecate. "Try again."
