"You must feel the force around you; here, between you, me, the tree, the rock, everywhere, yes. Even between the land and the ship."
Meditation, a mental technique studied and practiced by force users and non-force users alike, it allowed them to calm their minds and seek peace and solitude from the troubles of the outside world, moving beyond into a state of relaxation and awareness.

For eons, various orders of force users, be it Jedi or Sith, have used this technique to control their emotions and to achieve a better connection with the Force, sometimes going as far as building meditation chambers to mute the world around them for a more productive area.

And now, in a secluded area of the Forest Moon of Endor, Jagen Wren, a member of the Free Colonies, sat on the ground of the forest, attempting to enter a meditative trance.

Although he tried and tried, nothing would happen, he would just sit there, not getting frustrated, but disappointed. He had a feeling he was Force sensitive, but he couldn't tell if he was, he would just have to keep trying until it worked.

He began again, letting the thoughts and worries from his mind flow, clearing it entirely, or so he thought. He felt uneasy for a moment and opened his eyes, but he swore he saw a nearby rock fall from the air.

Wren was suddenly interrupted from his thoughts when a spine-tingling screech rang through the air, he stood up and spun around, only to be knocked unconscious by a Condor Dragon.

The forest moon of Endor, a place Kei could come to get away from it all. A place Kei could come to breath, get out of the smuggling life. He lent over the railing of a small Ewok village, careful not to fall. Ewok barriers were small and pathetic. He shook his head, mind starting to clear of all the issues in his mind. In just a month, he'd learned a few truths that even he didn't know how to handle. Shrugging, he climbed the barrier, sliding down the tree afterwards.

He continued out into the deep forest, hoping to finish clearing his mind. He kicked a small root aside, still trying to comprehend what he'd learned over the week, sighing. It was a week he wasn't sure upon, a week part of him wanted to remove from existing. He shrugged again, before standing alert. He heard a screech, one he'd never heard. Whatever it was, it sounded nasty.

He began to sprint, trees flashing past him as he slid across a fallen tree riddled with bullets. He kept moving, blaster in hand instantly. The sound was far out, but even Kei knew a sound far out could turn into something else. Something dangerous to him, dangerous to every other person on Endor. Every single person in the forest.

He stopped, looking around. Then a gun butt connected with the back of his head, knocking him out instantly.

Wren woke up inside of a near pitch black cave on top of a mountain of discarded bones which seemed to be from creatures a bit smaller than him that had the flesh stripped off of them by another creature, and out of the corner of his eye, he saw the dead, rotting corpse of the Condor dragon that attacked him earlier. He tried to sit up, and discovered that his entire body was paralyzed by the venom of another creature, as he could somehow sense a rather moderate sized bite-mark that had punctured his leg. He also began to feel a bit lightheaded, and that probably meant blood loss from the puncture wound, he would need to mend that as quickly as possible.

Suddenly Wren started to feel the same unease he had felt back in the forest, the one that was followed by the attack, it was as if he could sense danger before it actually happened. And almost a minute after that unease returned, what Wren saw horrified him. It was a massive, deformed, arachnid, with eight merciless eyes and two savage fangs, supported by eight long, hairy legs. Fortunately, it had not bothered to turn its attention to Wren, instead focusing on devouring the remains of the dragon. This gave Wren some time to think, but that seemed impossible as a silvery object reflected a little bit of light into his eyes, it was his beskad! Now all he would need to do is grab it before he himself was eaten alive...

OOC: Just an FYI, I'm doing this so I can have an excuse to develop Force powers for Jagen, you can also use this as a dev thread if you want to receive powers.
