The future of Star Tours with the First Order

Despite being a valuable member of the First Order's Independent Sector for a while, I never actually got around to ask for First Order sponsorship. So I see a few avenues for this to play out, considering that Jiroch-Reslia is not going to count as a contract for Factory purposes, and neither did any of the stuff done in dominions (unless the Riflor one does):

1. Ship a significant portion of Verkuyl's bacta production across FO space (my very first PM with Ludolf was about shipping bacta)
2. Obtain official sponsorship from the First Order regarding the Lipstick Express (it did appear in the FO State Media)
3. Obtain official sponsorship from the First Order regarding the hosting of podraces
4. Obtain the rights for Logistical Command (or whatever the name of the branch of the military responsible for logistics is) to make use of Star Tours services in any future dominion

The First Order isn't really in the business of sponsoring companies. The flow of funds should go the other way, right? Taxes and stuff. We may provide incentives (tax breaks, fee waivers, etc.) but sponsorship is really not our thing. If you'd like to discuss some IC contracting to ship or whatever, we can certainly discuss it ICly.

I gave you four options for the IC content of a possible contract. Maybe Ludolf has a content preference?

Now sponsorship is an OOC term denoting long-term major-faction support.

So here are my thoughts. We do need shipping, so we can work with you on that. Bacta, waste disposal, etc. sounds like something that Star Tours (or whatever subsidiary you like) can handle for the First Order. Also podracing is fun. Not sure what you mean by "sponsorship for hosting" but we can hammer out the details. But things like the Dark Force Nexus theme park aren't really in our wheelhouse, so I hope you won't take offense when the FO passes on IC involvement in it.

I echo Natasi's sentiments. We don't really "sponsor" companies, however... being a very fascist-minded government, we would certainly encourage any corporation that is based in First Order space and keeps its revenue at "home", so to speak. Being fascists, we don't like to outsource labor.

So yes, if Star Tours is a company that is based here in First Order space and employs First Order citizens, then it would certainly be given preferential treatment when it comes to things like bacta shipping. That I can promise. The military could also use Star Tours' transport services for its war materiel to keep its supply lines running smoothly.

Is there something specific you were looking for when you say "sponsorship"?

Sponsorship in the Factory sense really just means a long-term contract from a major faction to use the services or product of a given corporation.

Now that Star Tours is tier-4, and headquartered in Dosuun (with both the Star Tours HQ and Finalizer City Codex subs made in the wake of that decision)... for all Star Tours locations in FO space, Star Tours is going to go with 82%+ local staff, and local produce from each end of a flight (~50% from the departure point of a flight, the remainder from the arrival point)

One last thing (that carries business implications): can hazardous waste be disposed of in a black hole?

Anyway, yeah. I think we could use Star Tours mainly for the two things I listed above. For both of those things, consider Star Tours to be the First Order's go-to company.

By now [member="Ludolf Vaas"] the contract will feature all three of bacta from Verkuyl, waste disposal and Logistical Command's right to make use of Star Tours services to supplement their own logistical chain.

I'm not sure where [member="Valessia Brentioch"] stands about the ability to sign contracts for the First Order, so I'll tag and ask her too.

I feel like a conversation between Star Tours and the UTC would be ver beneficial between the two companies. UTC is also a shipping company but more for raw goods like metals and supplies. We are looking to purchase new Light Freighters for more local needs. Many of our cargo ships are meant for cross the Galaxy transportation and it seems inefficient to travel short distances with large ships.

Would this be to your liking. As a possible representative of the First Order I can maybe represent [member="Ludolf Vaas"] or [member="Natasi Fortan"] if they are too busy with a contract between the government and your company.

UTC doesn't transport people, it more transports raw goods and supplies like weapons and medical supplies from one place (the producer) to the buyer (First Order).

[member="Jaster of Clan Awaud"] Star Tours is flexible in sentients vs. cargo... we could fly Neimoidian Yachts, AT-AT barges (capable of carrying 2 AT-ATs each, roughly picket corvette-sized) for freight over short distances.
