HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Ever since the Tof Invasion of the Galaxy in ~roughly~ 11 ABY, which was thwarted by New Republic forces, there have been Tof in the Galaxy, and with them came their language. Tofspeak, during the early days of the species in the Galaxy, was relatively intelligible with that of the Tofspeak of Firefist, however with age, with phonology shifts, and general linguistic drift, the Skyriver Dialect of Tof drifted further and further from the Tof of the homeworld. Having been isolated for so long, along with the synthetic and highly regulated nature of the language's grammar, some portions of Tof in the galaxy were speaking something nearly utterly divorced from their parent language. The sheer amount of borrowing that the language has made from Basic, Huttese, and Mandalorian (variance on dialect, what’s covered here can be classified as “pure” Galactic Tof) during it's time in the Galaxy has furthered that idea even more so.
Now, ages later, linguists are still confused about the exact way to classify the language, and attempts to formulate proper grammar guides and textbooks have proven nearly impossible due to the shifting and fluid nature of the language. Odds are, no two Tof in the Galaxy will speak the exact same version of the Galactic dialect.
EXAMPLE PHRASE
"Hello. My name is Ulka, I am a speaker of the Galactic Tof language."
"Þuv. Skerú oþúfliö rö töl Ulka. Skerú fliö mivök Ghöktofvökif."
