The ding of an elevator was sounded in the lobby, followed by two smartly dressed figures stepping in. Traveling at high speeds to the top floor, Briana and Silas were preparing themselves for the mission ahead. They had been tasked with retrieving a rare Sith holocron, one which had been brought by two buyers with links to the enemy themselves. At the same time, they needed to stick to their given identities which they had been given back at the temple.

Silas was now under the disguise of Rodric Bynar, the son of a rich antique collector and brother to Briana's persona. Thankfully, the folks back in HQ considered not taking the husband and wife route.

"Remind me not to wear a suit again..." groaned Silas as he looked in the mirror to mess with his hair. Suits were something he disliked naturally. Yeah, it made him look alright but at the same time, it didn't give a good impression to the regular citizen in the galaxy. During his mess about, he noticed the camera in the corner of the elevator looking right down on them. Chances are they were going to be monitored at all times tonight, they both needed to be at their best if they wanted to get through this without suspicion.

Turning back to the door, a light smirk crossed his lips "You brushed up well sis, considering you took two hours to sort out your hair."

"What did you expect?" Arms folding defensively over her chest. "I can't just roll out of bed and look good. Beauty takes effort, something Amara Bynar and her brother Rodric, should understand."

She really had put an inordinate amount of time and effort into her persona for the night. A red shimmer silk number encrusted with rubies hugged her narrow waist, bright and bold and flaring out at the bottom like a sea of spewed fire. Orichalc bracelets adorned both her ears and wrists, shimmering like sunlight in the gloom, and her hair had so much hair stiffening spray in it, that she was almost certain it could stand up on its own even without the many pins and bobbles that'd gone into the style's making.

"And I think the suit looks good," Despite his grumbling, Briana did actually think that Silas cleaned up well, the sharp lines of his suit giving him a sort of air of maturity. "You look civilized. Almost." She grinned, wrinkling her nose up at him in jest. "Just stop fiddling with it or you'll give us away, you need to act like you were born to wealth." And if anyone knew how to dance this dance, it was Briana. Smiles that concealed secrets, laughter that could disarm the sharpest scrutiny. The luxury, the wealth, the privilege—it was like putting on a second skin to her, a skin she'd shed when she became a Jedi, but one she could slip back into when duty demanded it.

The elevator dinged, and the doors slid open. Briana squared her shoulders and elongated her neck, gaze sharpening. She placed her hand lightly on Silas's arm, the gesture natural, practiced. "Let's make this quick," she murmured, her voice almost lost beneath the murmur of conversation and soft music that welcomed them into the room.

"Another person entirely just isn't used to dressing up in fancy clothes for a corpo party"

Silas didn't like it, but if it was required for him to fit in, so be it. After all, it would only be a few hours at most before he could throw them back off again. "Just because I was a farmboy doesn't make me suddenly civilized. If anything, I was probably more civilized as a toddler than some of these goons ever were" the knight huffed with a small smile "But you're right, I guess I'll need to tap into their way of life for the greater scope..." thankfully Brianna was on hand to point those out. She wasn't like them, yet she certainly knew a good few of them.

After a few moments, the doors finally opened, revealing a lively atmosphere full of music and laughter. The highrise was packed out with people wearing their best clothes, along with jewelry that could probably be worth more than anyone's yearly salary down below. At the same time, a live jizz band was playing on a large stage in the main hall, its groovy tunes muffling through the walls. Giving Bri one last look, they finally walked and made their way over to the waiter who had two white gloved hands behind his back.

"Good evening madame and sir, do you mind if I see your invitations?"

Nodding in cooperation, Silas reached in and pulled out a forged invitation letter that had been given to them for entry "Here you go, you did remember yours, right sis?"

"Of course I did," Briana answered in her best sing-song voice.

Reaching into her shimmering clutch, fingers brushing momentarily against the concealed hilt of her lightsaber, Briana extracted an elegantly embossed invitation. The cardstock was heavy, adorned with gilded edges and an intricate seal that caught the light. "Here you are," she said, handing it gracefully to the attendant. The waiter examined both invitations with a practiced eye before offering a deferential nod. "Welcome, Miss Bynar, Mister Bynar. We trust you'll enjoy the evening."

"Thank you," Briana replied with a warm smile that didn't quite reach her eyes.

Inside, humans and nonhumans mingled dressed in their finest, the event seemingly proving to be the place to be in the galaxy.

Briana allowed her sapphire eyes to scan the room, noting a tall Twi'lek in the nearby distance positioned on top a dais where she danced and sang, the melody drifting around the room in a haunting sort of lilt. Her light green skin contrasted beautifully with her gold dress, which somehow caught the light around her and seemed to drink it in before reflecting it back as a more brilliant light. Closer to the stage, people swayed and danced slowly along with the singer, most of the eyes focused only on her.

Above that dais, Briana noted, was a platform where a few people stood, chatting quietly with their heads close together, some of the group surveying the room. She gave Silas a gentle nudge, hoping he'd follow her gaze. "Think we should we check it out?"

"Thank you"

After giving his own thanks Silas walked into the lively party with Brianna. It seemed like most people were busy watching the energetic performance on stage, their eyes glued to the twi'lek who was singing beautifully back to them. However, Briana and Silas were here for something else other than a good night of entertainment. Feeling her nudge, he soon followed where she was looking and nodded "It's a good place to start" Silas agreed while also noting it was a good vantage point to see where everything was.

Allowing Bri to go first, Silas followed as they weaved around all sorts of people who were attending the party "The person who made all this happen was Max Gallamby. He's one of the top antique collectors in the galaxy, housing items that you didn't even think existed. I must say, even I'm impressed" Silas explained as they came up to the stairs that led up to the platform "It's just a shame that he's resorted to business with the sith..."

If it wasn't for his PA giving the alliance a tip, they probably wouldn't have known a thing about this exchange.

When they reached the top Silas nodded to a few of the guests already up there before turning back to overlook the large hall <"I don't see many cameras, guards on the other hand seem to be well spread out on different entrances"> Silas said telepathically, his hand nonchalantly swiping a glass of champaign from one of the servants walking past.

"Nothing too frightening so far, the only thing stopping us from getting into the off limit errors are a body and identity scanner"

Briana's sapphire eyes swept the room with practiced nonchalance, her gaze flitting between guards, exits, and the ostentatious decorations that adorned the high-rise. To anyone watching, she appeared utterly engrossed in her surroundings, but her mind was carefully calculating every detail Silas pointed out.

<"Body and identity scanners are easy enough to handle,"> she responded, her expression remaining pleasantly neutral. <"That decorative pin in your collar, and my bracelet, are both equipped with a scrambler that should project false biometric readings - so we should register as exactly who our credentials say we are. The bigger problem is going to be the guards, we'll need a distraction. Something that'll draw them away from their posts without raising too many alarms.">

Briana grinned behind her champagne flute as she took a sip, quietly pleased with herself. She hadn't been on a mission like this in a long while and it'd been an opportunity to stretch her technical skills. The scanners had taken a few sleepless nights to calibrate properly, but the end result was worth it - compact enough to hide in plain sight as jewelry, yet powerful enough to fool military-grade security systems. So long as they worked properly, that is. She hadn't had the time to run multiple diagnostics, but the few she did run had yielded promising results.

Reaching the top of the stairs, Briana released his arm and set her now empty flute onto a passing tray.
"I'll work the room and see who's in the mood to share secrets, try to find out if anyone knows when Gallamby plans to make his appearance. In the meantime," Briana turned, pretending to adjust Silas collar in a sisterly fashion. "maybe you can try to find a way to distract our friends over there and schmooze the wait staff, turn on some of those Bynar charms?" Briana offered a dazzling smile to a pair of dignitaries passing nearby, waiting until they were out of earshot before leaning in again, voice low. "We can regroup once one of us finds the right intel. The elite always love to name-drop once they're a few glasses in."

Silas had almost forgotten the identity scramblers they had been given. They were disguised and fit their attire well, it would be hard for anyone to figure out what their true purpose was <"Hm, that is true. We would probably have access to a few areas with that alone. Where the holocron is stored however could be a different story. The guards and Max will be the only ones who have access to those classified sections"> he said with a brief nod of agreement. They'd need something good to keep their attention elsewhere.

Taking another sip of his drink, Silas couldn't help but smirk at Brianna helping him sort out his collar. He was normally quite well kept, but when they moved between people you were bound to hit a few "Come on sis, where would I be without the Bynar charm?" the knight chuckled "I'll meet you back here once you've found something of note. I sense a few of these old pensioners up here will know a thing or two, so I'll stay up here for now" He said with a brief look behind him, eyeing up an older couple who looked to have had a few too many sips of the complementary wine "Have fun sis, let me know if you need me"

Giving a parting nod, he cleared his throat and walked over to the older guests "Greetings, I don't suppose you know when Mr Galamby will make an appearance" He asked curiously to the pair, who looked at him with glassy eyes "Oh yes we do darling, he should be making a speech on that stage in a few minutes" the lady responded with a few slurred words.

"He's a very charming and handsome man, I just cannot wait to see what he has to say about the additions to his collection!"

Ugh... he didn't need any charm to get something out of these old relics.
