I'm Sorry Dave
OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
Relentlessly reliable and staunchly dedicated to long-term prosperity over exploitative business practises, the presence of the Globex Corporation is generally beneficial to local societies, though it is hardly a charitable organisation; its employees are well-treated and aggressively protected by the Globex Security Division (GSD), but contractors are not necessarily awarded the same privileges, taxes are paid on time and in full but loopholes are used if legal and not overly controversial, and at times it seems as if the Board is more concerned about the brand than anything else.
While most famous for its colonisation and infrastructure projects, strong monopolistic tendencies have led the company to expand in countless directions, often to meet its own demands - if the Board can buy something or produce it internally, they almost always favour the latter, and so corporate colonies often feature corporate clothes, corporate healthcare, corporate food, and even corporate media content, see Gildenleaf.
Ever-fearful of the damage public outcries for trust-busting could cause to its long-term profitability, Globex rarely exceeds market averages even when it controls the entire local market, trusting instead in an internalised supply chain free of middlemen to pad its accounts...
... internalised supply chains which are made all the more efficient through reliance on AI analysis and stranger things yet.
RATIONALE
A relatively recent actor on the galactic stage, Globex's formation was bankrolled by the liquidation of Vandiir Consolidated Holdings and various other assets belonging to Adrian Vandiir, the Sith Empire's newly appointed Dark Councillor of Scientific Advancement, as well as various assets transferred by his maternal family, the House of Terassi, in exchange for a significant share in the emergent megacorporation.
To the public, however, the true nature of Globex's ownership is somewhat of an open question; what is known is that the corporation is managed by a Board of Directors, with each Director presiding over a Division, which in turn is divided into Subdivisions managed by Associate Directors.
Following Vandiir's death on Dantooine, Globex seems to have broken its Sith connections, though who actually owns it remains a mystery.

MAJOR PROJECTS
- The Wall (Globex Denon, Gigahabitat I): Megastructure located on the city-world of Denon, home to approximately ten million sentients and the Centriplex, secondary (after Arcadia, see below) headquarters of the Globex Corporation and beating heart of much of its operations.
- 'Second Chance' Criminal Reform Centres: Monolithic private prisons known for their low recidivism, all-but-absent violence, and impersonal, fully-automated penal solutions. Organic guards are few and far between, but the facility AI is omnipresent.
- The Tephriki Liberation Strategic Leasing Plan: Charitable freedom fighter support - definitely not a shady arms deal. Nope.
- Arcadia: A planet terraformed within an inch of its life to serve as a tourist trap and an administrative/commercial centre for Globex.
- "A Better Tomorrow, Today", "For a Better Life and a Brighter Future" - General Slogans
- "The Globex Corporation, for all your material needs." - Globex Concierge
- "Building Worlds" and "A Galaxy of Opportunities" - Colonial Affairs
- "Pandora. The content you want, when you want it." - Pandora
