Character
I've been put in charge of the Yag'dhul dominion? What does that mean kids? It means I get to push the Architect story forward. Let me explain.
A race of hyper-intelligent cyborgs. In short, people who've put their important bits in droid bodies to achieve immortality. Their great goal is to unite the galaxy in order to explore other universes. Fifteen years ago IC time, the Architects made their presence know. They aligned with the Confederacy and built the first Dreadguard Legion -- making the Confederacy the dominant force in the galaxy for a time.
Shortly after the Dreadguard's defection, rather than help rebuild, the Architects helped to convince the ASA-then-Confederacy's leader to go to war with the Omega Protectorate: a test to see which group of organics they would align with.
After the battle of Drunkenwell, and a successful test of their warrior creations, the Architects helped build up such organizations as the Ession Reformation, the Naboo Liberation Front, and most notably, the Republic. When the democratic power was falling to its knees, the Architects introduced one hundred second-generation Dreadguard. Not enough to win the war, but enough to keep the Republic fighting.
Up until this time, the Architects have been entirely peaceful in their pursuit of galactic domination; preferring to set organics against one another rather than fight themselves. That has changed.
A small scouting fleet from the battle of Vandelheim is en route to the world of Yag'dhul under the the hurried orders of Commander Rook and his team. They are expecting to meet the welcoming arms of the Givin. What they will find is something entirely different.
This is going to be a losing battle. The Architects fleet above the planet is entirely AI based, and their technology prevents hyperspace travel when ships get to close. The Givin people are being herded aboard hastily built space elevators by the thousands. Their military installations are being glassed by Architect dreadnoughts in the planet's orbit.
The Alliance will have a number of choices to make. While outgunned, it is still possible to fight. Should they choose not to interfere, the Architects will eventually leave them alone, and the world of Yag'dhul will be left to them. Should they decide to fight, the small fleet will find itself quickly overwhelmed, and any man or women that sets foot on the ground will be marching into a meat grinder.
They have technology we struggle to imagine. Weapons that cut through beskar like paper. A fleet so vast that they block out the sky.
This will be the first chapter in a series of dominions about these creatures. The objectives are there, but they do not need to be completed: they're only recommendations.
Objective A: SPAAAACEEE
The GA will be starting off aboard the small expeditionary fleet. Pilots will be expected to defend the vessels as long as they can manage. Fleeters may engage with the Architects, who, while they posses great firepower, are woefully inept at commanding a fleeting battle.
Objective B: Ground Time
Given the chaos of the battle, specific objectives will not be named for ground troops. The GA will only have the time to commit to a handful of tasks before they are overwhelmed. The Givin people are being herded aboard space elevators linked to Architect ships. At the same time Omega Protectorate military hardware crucial to the GA's war effort are being taken by Architects forces. The Givin's ruling system, the Body Calculus, are being held in the heart of their capital. They are to be liquidated in a short time. The Galactic Alliance may choose to go after one, two, or all three of these objectives, but our forces are spread thin. The more you try to do, the more likely it will end in disaster.
