- Description: The Royal Palace of Eliad is vast indeed, more of a palace city than a single structure, covering the vast majority of the island it's built upon. Every building across the complex, the main palace structure itself included, is ornate in design and plated in gold tinted metal, giving the palace complex an incredibly ornate and lavish aesthetic. The massive central palace building towers high above all of the other structures in the complex, and could be considered an architectural marvel in it's design.
The Royal Palace - The largest and most impressive structure within the palace complex, the Gilded Palace serves as both Darth Xyrah's seat of power and personal residence, and contains numerous amenities.
- The Throne Room - A vast chamber that houses the royal throne itself, this important seat is large and ornate in it's design and is forged from solid gold, inlaid with the most precious of gemstones and upholstered with the most comfortable silk cushions for Darth Xyrah's royal rear. The throne chamber itself can house thousands of guests during special occasions and celebrations due to it's sheer size.
- Dining Hall - The Palace possesses a sizeable, luxurious dining hall for royal feasts, and is directly attached to the royal kitchen where some of the galaxy's most talented chefs are provided top of the line cooking and food preparation equipment to create exquisite meals for Darth Xyrah and his guests.
- Royal Bed Chamber - The royal quarters of Darth Xyrah himself are the epitomy of luxury itself. Consisting of a large, luxurious bedroom, with an ensuite bathroom and a vast walk in wardrobe containing Darth Xyrah's impressive collection of exotic and expensive attire, these bed chambers are lavish indeed, and are restricted access to everyone but Darth Xyrah himself, his loved ones and a select few personal attendants.
- Royal Living Quarters - Much of the palace's upper levels are dedicated as living space for Darth Xyrah and his loved ones, and consist of many living rooms, libraries, studies, smaller bedrooms for his loved ones, as well as rooms of various other functions and purposes, restricted to Darth Xyrah, his loved ones and the palace staff, where no guests are allowed save those invited personally by Darth Xyrah himself.
- Guest Quarters - A wing of the palace is dedicated to housing Darth Xyrah's important guests and visitors. These quarters are luxurious indeed, and possess a large staff of servants dedicated to attending to the needs and whims of his guests.
- Servant Quarters - Compared to the quarters of the Queen and his guests, the Servant Quarters arn't very lavish, but are still comfortable, and are fully outfitted to attend to the needs of the vast number of servants that work within the palace.
- The Royal Vault - Located beneath the palace in vast underground chambers resides the Royal Vault, where Darth Xyrah's treasure hoard, private galleries and museums possessing artifacts from across the galaxy are stored under heavy guard.
- The Royal Garrison - The Royal Garrison houses the Royal Guard of Eliad, an elite army of Kainate veterans assigned to Darth Xyrah, sworn to his service and protection with their lives. The garrison houses comfortable living quarters for every member of the Royal Guard, as well as armories, command centers and other useful utilities for their operations.
- Personal Hangar Bay - A hangar bay is built into the upper levels of the palace, dedicated to housing Darth Xyrah's personal royal starship, so he might quickly depart to attend to business off world, as well as return home without having to deal with the usual bureaucracy required should he land elsewhere.
Naberrie Research Facility - A secure research complex located on the island, the Naberrie Research Facility is where Darth Xyrah and his top scientists conduct their most secret and vital research, designing droids, weapons of war and other important technologies to secure both Darth Xyrah's dominance, as well as that of the Kainate. It also houses a foundry with which prototypes can be assembled, as well as testing chambers to safely test these prototypes and their capabilities.
Shield Generator Complex - A large facility houses the island's defensive shield generator, which projects a defensive shield bubble across the entirety of the royal island, protecting it from orbital bombardment.
The Golden Gateway - Access to the island the Royal Palace sits upon through the defensive shield bubble relies upon an ornate shield gate known as "The Golden Gateway", which all ships must pass through to come and go from the island. The shield gate is heavily fortified as a result, to ensure it is well protected.
Royal Starport - Located on a smaller island near the royal island itself, the Royal Starport is where visitors and guests can land their ships after arriving through the shield gate. It is linked to the palace complex by an advanced energy bridge, nicknamed the "Rainbow Bridge" due to it's multicoloured nature when activated. This bridge can be turned on and off as needed, which is extremely useful.
SECURITY
Maximum - No expense has been spared to ensure the Royal Palace complex is protected. A vast shield bubble covers the entire island, and access can only be acquired to the island via the shield gate. There are also various defensive turbolasers and other emplacements in place should the shield be breached, as well as the island's sizeable Royal Guard garrison to deal with hostile ground forces.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Upon Darth Xyrah's ascension as ruling monarch, the Queen of Eliad, one of the first goals of his rule was to order the construction of a vast palace complex to serve as his seat of power on Eliad. Costing an exorbitant amount of credits to construct, Darth Xyrah intended his palace to shine as a beacon of his wealth and power to his peers amongst the larger Sith Order, even dwarfing the palace fortress of the Sith Emperor himself, Darth Empyrean. An intentional choice, no doubt.
Construction might have taken a long time, were it not for the ample amount of droid labour used in the process. The droids worked none stop building the palace, day and night, and it was completed in record time due to their efforts. The palace was opened and unveiled in a grand ceremony shortly after Darth Xyrah's victory on behalf of his master, Darth Carnifex, over the forces of Darth Empyrean on Mustafar.
