The Grand Army of the Republic
Overview:
The Grand Army of the Republic (GAR), also known as the Grand Army and the Clone Army, was a major branch of the Republic Military modeled entirely off of the original Galactic Republic's organization and composed entirely of clone troopers, an army of elite soldiers created from the recovered genetically altered template of the Mandalorian bounty hunter Jango Fett. Bred within the cloning facilities of the planet Kamino.Rank Structure:
Supreme Chancellor / Commander-in-Chief -
The leader of the Galactic Senate and representative of the Republic. Also the Commander-in-Chief of the Republic Military. Holds authority over the military, its structure, and its units.
Supreme Commander -
The chosen commander of the entire Republic Military by the Supreme Chancellor. Enforces his will on the military, and oversees the military for the Chancellor.
Marshal Commander -
In charge of a corps.
Senior Commander -
In charge of a legion.
Regimental Commander -
In charge of a Regiment.
Battalion Commander - [Highest rank a PC can start off with, without authorization.]
In charge of a Battalion. Very senior rank, regarded as some of the highest any clone could make it.
Major -
The second-in-command of a battalion. Senior officer rank that shows leadership in a clone.
Captain -
In command of a company.
Lieutenant -
The first officer rank of the Grand Army. Commands a platoon of men, and often indicates a clone's career will be long if they've made it here.
Sergeant Major
Final NCO rank within the Grand Army. Shows true leadership within a clone, and often performs important duties within a platoon while being second-in-command.
Sergeant -
In command of a squad typically. An important NCO rank that shows some leadership within a clone.
Corporal -
The second-in-command of a squad typically, but overall the beginning NCO rank.
Trooper -
Basic rank of a trooper who's come out of training.
Cadet -
The rank of a clone still in training.
