Private The grand design of a system

War is the continuation of the eternal cycle, the very breath of the gods causes progression through strife

It had been a rather good while since the Viceroyalty's last assembly in which the viceroy of Eriadu had not only managed to exponentially expand the sphere of his influence, but also the very might of the title which he now wielded, as not mere viceroy of just the planet Eriadu, but the system in its entirety. However, as was expected, not only the Vicelord, but the Minister of war; Caesar Kenway managed to slither in a line of contension, a proverbial concession from Credius' side towards the Confederacy of Independant systems, no doubt to try and curtail his quite obvious leap in authority. Though not entirely unwelcomed, this concession did in fact end up doing exactly what it had to do: slow down the viceroy's expanding influence greatly, almost to a screeching halt even. With the chaos and tensions in the galaxy rising even further out of control, Credius could not afford any ill-timed maneuvres from any of his associates and minions.

Holding a alabaster figurine of a bishop in his hand, the calm and collected viceroy looked at the various papers and datapads on his desk, today was the day the Minister of War would be coming for a visit as per the viceroy's request, to further iron out the details of the encroachment of Confederate forces upon his territory. Oh, how the viceroy despised it when he was being thwarted, but even so, he had to approve of the deal which had been struck, for the concession merely decried for a localized base of operations and the formation of a mobile rapid response fleet. Though it may prove to be a slight hassle to have troops at one's doorstep not under one's own control, it was in fact still a good thing, as even the smaller Confederate military presence could prevent some of the issues which would've been out of the viceroy's control and influence.

"Milord, the preperations for the minister's arrival have been completed," A man decked out in a heavy white armor from head to toe, ecorated with a long romex cape hanging from one shoulder entered the Viceroy's study and saluted the man with great vigor.

"I see... well than , have you sent my brother with an escort to the spaceport to welcome his excellency?"

"Yes, milord," The Valkan guard gave a solemn nod after his response, noticing how amused the viceroy seemed to be at the present. "Milord...might I perhaps inquire why you seem to be so...amused at this high profile meeting?"

"Heh," With but a single shift of the weight in his fingers, a bit of pressure upon the alabaster figurine ended up in the figurine's head snapping off and rolling upon the viceroy's worlykk wooden desk. A slight, yet sinister grin appearing on the viceroy's visage. "My dear guard... what self-respecting politician does not feel elated and amused at the prospect of ensnaring a big fly within their web?"
