To the Galactic north and one hex from Thyferra lays the Gray Worlds, known on the map as Eisenwelt.
A world of toxic mountain ranges and polluted wastes, it sports a massive amount of industry and is known for both its militaristic culture and xenophobia. With the Netherworld event, the planet has seen a change in power and outlook. Still wary of outside cultures, Eisenwelt looks outward for allies. The Galactic Alliance and it's methodology and ideology fits well in the independently minded Eisenwelt people and so it is there they turn their gaze.
My proposal is to Dominion Eisenwelt. The Galactic Alliance would gain an industrial base as well as superb shock and tank units. In return, Eisenwelt resides inside GA borders and enjoys GA protection.
Me, personally, I like open ended/sandbox dominions, but for those who prefer a bit more of a linear storyline to follow, some basic objectives:
1. Eisenwelt is a highly xenophobic system, even today. Not against aliens and non-humans, but against non-Eisenweltans. Walking the streets is dangerous and while the system's leadership has done everything possible to make the capital safe for visitors, certain areas are still not welcome for outsiders...
2. Eisenwelt scientists have tried for generations to repair the ravaged world's ecosystem with no success. With outside knowledge and technology, perhaps someone with a background in science could give a little aid, nudging the planet on the first baby-steps towards ecological recovery.
3. The system is almost entirely encased in nearly impenetrable rings and clouds of asteroids and debris and the few entry points are heavily regulated and guarded. While this makes travel to and from the system highly difficult, it does, however, mean that the mineral potential of the system is quite good. Since the government is looking for new revenue sources from outside, they've allowed the sale of some asteroids to outside companies and individuals.
4. While the government is now more or less unified, small bands of warlords roam the toxic wastes of the planet. Mainly composed of tanks and mechanized infantry, these forces are dangerous and known for their speed and ferocity. Feigning overtaxed regiments and troops, the Eisenwelt government has requested outside aid in defeating these rogue units to observe foreign combat methods and tactics. The general idea? Find a warlord, take out his troops and bring him back to the Capital, dead or alive.
