THE GREAT HUNT ((OPEN))

Gordosa

Guest

The Great Gordosa the Hutt slid along as he made is Hutty way to the shielded seat overlooking a large audience chamber. His concussion rifle tucked comfortably under one arm as he arrived to look out at the slowly filling area. His devorian majordomo stood at his side and placed a cushion on his seat as the Hutt sat. A pair of Jawas moved in to wave large palm branches fanning him as his sombrero sat tilted back on his generous head. A team of guards and battle droids milled about behind him as they tried diligently to figure out who was supposed to cover which area and Gordosa was forced to pinch the bridge of his nose and shake his head.

"Why can't I just get a Rancor?" he asked himself before his RG-13 protocol droid stepped to the edge to speak to the crowd who had come for the Great Hunt.

Ugbolt the Gamorrean walked around the balcony looking for a piece of his white sequined glove that was sold to Gordosa as the famed Glove of Vader ages ago.

"Wur dat shiny go?" the gamorrean said as his cousin Oogbolt began looking with him.

"U so stupit u lose shiny." Oogbolt said.

"Nuh uh you stoopit U no smart lik meee." Ugbolt replied.

"I h8 U dumby." Oogbolt said. "U smell lyk a hyooman."

"Dat it." Ugbolt said producing a club and promptly striking the other gamorrean on the head ending the discourse completely and making Gordosa again wonder why he didn't make bacon of them.

Meanwhile..........................

"Ladies and Gentlebeings." The droid announced in his Coruscanti accent, "It is my esteemed pleasure to welcome you all to the Hall of the Great and Powerful Gordosa the Hutt."

Fake recorded applause was then started and Gordosa bowed and waved as if everyone was actually clapping. He blew kisses at random people he didn't know and winked at others before doing a little jiggle dance and waving again.

"The list of bounties is being put on the board as well as sign ups for corporate sponsors. All hunter may begin signing up now."

She got the important parts down and focused most of her attention on her competition. For once, she wondered if her old time mentor, [member="Hannibal Oryen"], would be going solo or joining her on this. Just last week she almost caught Darth Vornskyr. Her mentor didn't need to know about that.

Maybe she'd have better luck in the next three weeks.

She offered the hutt a subtle salute and wandered carefully through the crowds.

Ridist Dracko, resident Headhunter and Soldier of Fortune, arrived cordially and with his signature grin, alluding to his confidence and cool demeanor. Five humongous droids - matte black with glistening red stripes around their left limbs, and large-caliber guns in hand - backed him on either flank. Neth's Chariot. The name was quickly growing in the legitimate private military contractor market, and even more-so in the underground. Everybody had a price, and everybody pays.
"Ha ha ha," he bellowed, "Just in time for the party. You're a fun-looking bunch."
He waved his large, tattooed hand towards the sigh-up board, motioning one of the Adjudicator 'soldiers' to sign the company in. He couldn't help but notice the woman in the back of the crowds, who stood out from the otherwise fairly mundane set of individuals so far gathered there.
"Well, aren't you a pretty little thing. Have room for one more?" he casually announced towards her; but their was ulterior motive - there was always a method to the madness, and Dracko was the best of the best. Everyone had a tell, after all.
Ridist's true reason for arriving would have to wait. There were still subtle details he was hazy on, and he wanted to get them all in order before commencing his mission. A lot of young mercs went in guns blazing, and it was the only reason why a lot of mercs never make it back home. Money's no good if one's dead and can't spend it.

Lily and Venus Rose were among the bounty hunters and mercenaries attending. The notorious twin sisters were Keshiri and had a reputation for killing Jedi. With one Master and two Padawans under Lily's belt alone, they were a ferocious tag-team. The trophies testified their skill. Hanging from Lily's belt were the scalps of a Nautolan Headtress and Twi'lek Lekku, beside the two was the decapitated head of a Kaminoan. The headtress was well known among the criminal underworld, it was known as the Hapes Incident. During the aforementioned event, Lily had been seen on live Holovision scalping the corpse of Jedi Master Hasjo Hallu. The aftermath when thirteen different bounty hunters and sith had converged on the single target, with only one standing victorious.

The cyborg glanced to her fellows, noting Ridist with a sour taste in her mouth. Her cybernetic eyes focused on him, and she felt the compulsive desire to spit on the ground. Lily was known for her poor manners in comparison to her well kept identical twin sister. The two of them crossed their arms simultaneously, curious as to the sponsors. The more credits the merrier. They had a past of not only being bounty hunters, but as Royal Guards for Darth Meirin, one of the various leaders of the One Sith. A prominent Sith and tremendous threat to the Jedi and their way of life. Lily kept her cool and cold visage, sweeping her gaze back to Gordosa.

Kitt managed to maintain an easy-going smile. Oh stars, those male-cocky hunters. To pick a fight here...just wasn't worth it.

"Kitt Solo," a classic lopsided-grin. "You've managed to get the attention of the entire room. Though that woman, seems to be paying particular close attention," chin tipped to Lily. "Watch out for...them. Seem to like collecting heads."

In the corner of the room, The man known as Chaff, a man in a suit of pitch black armor, was leaning against the wall, watching the crowd. He had laughed when he heard about what was going down here. Business had been slow lately, and he could use some good fun, which this sounded like to him. He never turned down a good chance for bloodshed. He started walking over to the sign up sheet, noting the man with a bunch of droid guards. The droids looked formidable, but anyone that had to rely on droids to do their dirty work had no respect in Chaff's book. Then again, there were very few people in the galaxy he had respect for. He was a hard man to impress.

Ridist paused for a moment, his voice lowering to a volume drowned out by the ambience around him. His initial facade seemed to extract exactly what he needed to know, as planned.
"I like you, you seem... respectable. Those twins with the trophy kills? The Hapan Killers, some like to call them. The one who looks like she wants to spit at my feet or something, she killed some Jedi Master and that's part of him hanging from her belt. The only kinds with something like that are the kinds with something to prove; and pride doesn't go far in this business."
"And that one, over there," his eyes hinted towards [member="Meanken"], "Keeps eyeing my droids like he's never seen one in his life. Going by his body language, I'd say he doesn't care for them at all. It's a pity, lone wolves don't last long either."
He decided to withhold the fact that it was he himself who did most of the heavy lifting, so to speak, though the more delusions others had, the harder it would be for them to read him, which made him far less predictable.
"And you...." Ridist finally reached the point directly. "Well I think you're just trying to make an honest day's pay... well, as honest as this line of work gets."
As for Neth's Chariot, it was one of the more 'honorable' PMC's; good track record, outstanding performance, operated by the books. They played by the rules and got the job done, that much was known.
Dracko was, in fact, there for only one job, and it wasn't any of the those listed on the bulletin board.

Cambry Owens

A Pseudo-Mandolorian. Sort of.
Cambry simply watched and processed the information from his place among the throng. Expression impossible to discern behind the black T-visor of his helmet, he soon turned and made his way to a random booth off to the side, to lounge and study away at a Datapad.

The dude seemed to be well-connected with the hunting circuit gathered in the room. "So that's your assessment of me after fifteen seconds?" Twin chestnut brows lofted. "I've had worse," nose scrunched-up as her gaze caught the headed-belt once again on the wonder twins.

Creepy.

As a master empath, there were a few things the fringe high councilor slash bounty hunter could sense even among a room full of silver-tongued devils. "If you're going for Gordosa, good luck. I aim to get out before those hot cakes are flipped."

Southern-Corellian drawl was largely apparent.
