Punished Rexus

Name: White Wolves, 7th Platoon. Or the Gundark Gunners.
Intent: To finally give a unit I've been RPing with for about six months, a proper place on Chaos.
Affiliation: The First Order.
Availability: Unique.
Quality: A.
Type: Infantry.
Strength: 50 Stormtroopers.
Description: When the First Order began to organise its military, they found like all military's, that there were some undesirable elements more than willing to join. To combat this, the First Imperial Army Command created garrison legions. Units designed to take aboard the worst the First Order had to offer, and put them in positions with limited combat availability.
The Gundark Gunners began as 6th platoon of the 253rd Garrison Battalion, a unit that was posted all over Dosuun, guarding military installations and armouries across the planet. Their original Commanding Officer was Lieutenant Barton “Barty” Gorborts, a convicted felon. Most of the unit came from similar social standing from across Dosuun. During his tenure, 6th platoon became one of the most infamous postings within the First Order military. Most of the troopers there were repeat offenders, who often became involved with contraband smuggling, brawling, disorderly conduct and going AWOL.
Due to this reputation of poor behaviour, 6th Platoon became known among officers and Stormtroopers alike as the Gundark Gunners. Not many platoons received such names, most were due to exemplary service. For the Gunners, it was meant to be a derogative label. The name was two fold. The Gundark referred to their low intellect and aggressive nature. The Gunners part referred to the fact they were stuck defending artillery positions.
Lieutenant Gorborts and the men and women of 6th platoon took the label as something of merit. They were the badboys, and they were going to roll with it. The platoons pool of criminals remained largely stagnant. There were of course elements of the platoon who managed to be considered rehabilitated and they transferred. But a core of thirty Stormtroopers grew exceedingly close, and enjoyed the relaxed postings they received. But that wouldn’t last. The Effekt Incident changed it all.
The Gundark Gunners received one posting before they began to see active combat, and that was during military maneuverers on Effekt. For the platoon, it was a boring affair. So much marching, and no time for target practice, gambling or drinking. So, on one night, Lieutenant Gorborts decided to play a joke on the 253rd’s commanding officer, Colonel Freider Galp.
Gorborts and two other sabotaged the Colonel’s toilet, so it would pump sewerage from the bases septic tank into the room, rather than flush it out. However, Gorbots made a mistake. He sabotaged the wrong room. Marshal Reynald Cortez’s. Cortez was not pleased to have his room smell of faecal matter. Word got back that Gorborts was responsible, Marshal Cortez had the 253rd moved to the war torn planet of Zarnathea.
Zarnathea shaped the Gunners in a way that would change them immeasurably. The first change would be in terms of leadership. Lieutenant Gorborts was killed during a procedural traffic search. In his stead, Sergeant Rexus became the platoons leader, and commanding officer.
Days after their CO’s death, the Gundark Gunners were incorporated into the White Wolves as apart of an offensive that levelled Nar’Tan’s market district. Despite losing close to one third of their fighting force to the Vax rebels, the First Order won the day. Colonel Asharard Graush, the man who’d lead the assault took the Gundark Gunners under his wing as apart of the White Wolves. Now giving the punishment platoon more frontline service.
The Gundark Gunners were no longer a unit associated with drunkards and murderers. They were now serving with the best of the best. Despite now experiencing more danger than ever, the Gunners became one of the First Order premier units, fighting their way through throngs of the Galaxies worst.
