OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Intent: To submit Mrurh'en'lase's mental personification of the Light Side that has blessed her since birth. Please note that this is not an NPC that can directly interact with any PC on the site. It is only within Hel's mind.
  • Role: The shield of Light for Hel as she constantly fights to balance the Light and Dark in her life
  • Permissions: N/A
  • Links: Mrurh'en'lase | The Shroud | The Dark Side | The Light Side
PHYSICAL INFORMATION
  • Age: 20 Years
    • Lifespan: As Long as Hel Lives
  • Force Sensitivity: As an amortal representation of the Light Side in Hel's imagination, the Halo’s effectiveness is entirely dependent on Hel's own power
    • Padawan = Padawan Level Strength
    • Knight = Knight Level Strength
    • Master = Master Level Strength
  • Species: As it belongs to no true species and does not truly operate in any form of reality that we could understand, the closest approximations that could describe it is Force Entity OR Mental Image.
    • Always appears in the form of an armored angelic being of golden fire with powerful arms reaching out from its back.
  • Appearance: Boasting a massive, incredible physique underneath golden armor and a number of vibrant aesthetics, the Halo is very visibly a crusader/champion of the Light Side of the Force, perhaps on an extremist level. It is always bearing this appearance whenever it presents itself to its host.
SOCIAL INFORMATION
  • Name: The Halo
  • Loyalties: As the defender of Hel’s mind, its loyalty is waveringly towards its host.
  • Wealth: As a mental image of the Force, the Halo possesses no wealth beyond what Mrurh'en'lase herself owns.
  • Notable Possessions: As it lives inside Hel's mind, the Halo does not own anything of its own beyond its skills.
  • Skills:
    • Control of Mrurh'en'lase Light Side actions
    • Control of Mrurh'en'lase's Light Side Powers
    • Expert Swordsman
    • Expert Defender
  • Personality: Akin to a Jedi Master, the Halo is extremely calm, patient, understanding, and wise. It will impart wisdom to its host in the direst of times, believing that such wisdom can hold off the consistent influence of the Shroud. It has yet to be truly disproven in this belief, although Hel will near the edge several times before the Halo is able to retain its enemy once again.
COMBAT INFORMATION
  • Weapon of Choice: Force Sword | The Light Side
  • Combat Function: Incapable of actually combating the physical enemies of its host on its own, the Halo has to utilize its host to channel the powers of the Lide Side. In its combat with the Shroud, however, it will unleash an array of paladin-like abilities to smite its foe in its endless war to protect its host.
STRENGTHS
  • Ardent Defender of Light: In most scenarios, the Halo is more than capable of keeping its host on the path of the Light Side and requires very little assistance from outside forces. Its ability to do this on a consistent basis is only a minor testament to its strength as it has kept its enemy locked away ever since its host was born. It is resolute, uncompromising, and will dish out enough holy vengeance upon the Shroud for time eternal in order to keep its host safe from its clutches.
WEAKNESSES
  • Limiter of Power: While it keeps its host safe from the corruption of the Shroud, doing so keeps her from her true potential in the Force. As a naturally volatile individual, this is often a point of great contention within the young woman. While truly desiring to stick to the path of the Light Side, Hel also desires an improved foundation in the Force so as to use both sides, raining hellfire down on her foes to bring peace to the Galaxy. Thus, the Halo is surprisingly the more questioned of the two personifications within Hel’s mind. Additionally, with its rarity of satisfying answers on a consistent basis, the Halo must fight the Shroud that much harder.
  • Tides of the Dark Side: Occasionally, the Halo can be overwhelmed by the Dark Side when the source of it is entirely steeped in evil and Hel’s mental faculties have been all but reduced to atoms.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
When Mrurh'en'lase was born, she had little chance in the world to live a peaceful life. Her childhood was wrought with tragedy and feelings of helplessness and isolation, her parents being exiles and miscreants among the Zeltron and Chiss, forced to spirit their child off into the distant worlds of Wild Space. A hybrid of emotional progression and taciturn traditionalism, Mrurh'en'lase faced hardships in forming lasting connections as a child. Most friendships would end with an emotional outburst due to the conflicting mindsets her parents represented, and those that lasted more than a few months would end quietly under the reasoning of "being weirded out." Indeed, it seemed that the young hybrid was destined for a lonely, solitary life.

But, in the darkness of those emotions and loneliness - that ruinous melancholia. A hidden one, deeply seeded yet not having sprouted into a tree of golden burning light. One that would fight eternally to not be broken, even after death.

You see, the hybrid had been born Force Sensitive, and while this certainly added innumerable hardships to her life - as can be seen with the ever-present Shroud - it also granted her eventual guidance towards goodness, kindness, and justice. However, it was not to be an easy journey. That guidance, at first, was little more than a seedling buried underneath fields of blood and death, watching and struggling to grow as the hybrid lived much of her youth in darkness. Crime, greed, and indulgence became integral in her daily life as she was passed from crime lord to crime lord, pirate crew to pirate crew, mercenary group to mercenary group. By the young age of thirteen or fourteen, Mrurh'en'lase had amassed a disturbingly high kill count for her age from her contracts and quite a notable status of wealth that she kept hidden in several off-shore accounts across the fringes Hutt Space. It seemed certain that she would remain in this life until it killed her at an untimely age, and it would have had that guidance not awakened when she needed it most.

It was the morning of Summer's Dawn on a primitive mountainous world just outside the borders of Hutt Space when Mrurh'en'lase faced the blaster barrels of her own crew. They had betrayed her on the orders of the upstart Krirtelox Sketter, her wealth finally discovered and stolen to be shared with those loyal to the young Hutt Crime Lord. The evil that seeped within her soul for years had cowed - knowing that it was doomed as well and nothing could save it. Mrurh'en'lase was about to die, held at gunpoint by a dozen she had called her friends - some she had even considered calling family.

Fear was all she felt in those moments.

Until she felt a burning sensation within her heart, like the soothing embers of a campfire at midnight filling her chest with a golden light one little spark at a time. The hybrid's mind focused, her senses sharpened, and with a blistering speed of righteous judgement and necessity for survival, those who sought her end were incapacitated by the rocks of the mountainous landscape surrounding them. There was no pull to brutalize, no desire to see them maimed and slaughtered. There was only the intent to subdue them enough for the young woman to escape the world in one of their shuttles or ships. She never learned what became of those traitours as she fled Hutt Space on a careening journey for civilization in the Core. All she knew is that she - for a singular moment - felt some modicum of peace with her actions and knowledge that she had left them alive instead of dead. Thusly did the Halo take its roots, growing in reverse to the Shroud, its radiance descending from the heavens of Mrurh'en'lase's conflicted soul. And it was the Halo that allowed the hybrid to find her new home among the Jedi.

Today, Mrurh'en'lase still suffers the contention of her mind's ever-growingly complex personalization of the Force and her life experiences. The Halo and the Shroud have thus taken new and grander forms as the hybrid's power grows, and only time will tell if Mrurh'en'lase can retain the guiding light of that which saved her life from an untimely and undignified end.
