OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
- Intent: To give Intrepid Inc A new base of operations as well as a new avenue by which they may exploit the populace
- Image Credit: Credit where it's due
- Canon: N/A
- Permissions: N/A
- Links: Intrepid Inc, Defilers, The Abyss Key
- Spaceport Name: The Heaven Spire
- Location: Terminus
- Affiliation: Intrepid Inc
- Classification: Galaxy Class
- Population: Heavily Staffed
- Accessibility: The Heaven Spire is a huge tower rising up from the surface of Terminus up into the clouds and it allows people of all backgrounds inside even high-level criminals known to the public. Defilers as well as, Intrepid heavy Assualt droids patrol the ports, hangars, storefronts, and every level of the spire to keep the peace and arrest any high-level targets that threaten the spaceport or have crossed Intrepid Inc in the past. It's not uncommon to see transports full of troops cruising through some of the larger corridors and ports and these troops are very aggressive in their duties. Any and all cargo and ships passing through the station or the sector are inspected thoroughly before being allowed through to the surface or onto the ports. The large Pyramid atop the spire is easily the most secret area on the station and its access is sealed off to anyone except Intrepid Executives
- Traffic: Gridlock
- Thousands of people travel in and out of the spaceport every day due to its central location on the Hydian Way which means a high assortment of people and cargo are sifted through the port making it a very crowded place throughout the day and night
- Description: The Heaven Spire looks very different depending on which side you are entering from. If you are entering from the surface of Terminus you will see a huge overbearing spire that blots out the sun with many levels and floors filled with stores of people selling goods and merchants hurriedly shunting cargo to and from their ships eager to make a quick buck. The customs office is surrounded by a huge metal gate where soldiers and droids alike bully the populace into line as a huge mass of people push and shove one another as they desperately make their way to the front of the line where a customs droid oversees entrance into the spire. If you are entering from the top of the spire and wish to land your ship in one of the spires many hangars you will have the luxury of skipping the mundane wait to the customs office as a deck officer is likely to survey you and your ship almost immediately after you land. Security gets much tighter the higher up the spire you go but it's still much better than waiting in a line. The heaven spire is a very modern-looking environment and it even allows people to take up residence inside the spire, granted they have the credits of course.
- The Golden Gate
- The huge pyramid structure atop the spire is the most heavily defended structure on the entire spaceport with guard patrols surveying the floors at all times. Every bit of data stored inside the Pyramid is heavily encrypted and only the most elite profile people are even allowed inside.
- Highway to hell
- The "Highway to hell" is a small inconspicuous elevator that only has the distinct feature requiring a blood sample in order to activate it. Inside the elevator seems to be normal except that there is a keypad hidden in one of the four walls where upon entering the correct code a secret button to "the twentieth floor" will appear which will actually take the person to the lowest level of the Heaven Spire.
- The underworld
- An underground vault where the Abyss Key is held under lock and key. It requires a passcode, blood sample, and retinal scan in order open to which the Abyss Key is held in a glass case on top of an obsidian obelisk which is known the drive those without strong conviction insane.
- Holding cells
- Even with all the security people don't always conduct themselves orderly and will sometimes step too far out of line have to be detained in which the holding cells will keep them from inciting any more trouble.
- Interrogation Chamber
- The Heaven Spire has an interrogation chamber where high profile targets will be questioned and in some cases tortured into giving away vital information
- The chambers location is hidden from the populace and its location is not openly shared in any of the barracks or customs offices leading some to believe it's inside the Golde gate itself
- As you would expect this chamber is heavily guarded and any data on the prisoners are either encrypted or transferred to a more secure server
- Transformation center
- Those that make it to Intrepid's interrogation chambers or are simply caught wandering around in the dark have a chance at being kidnapped and taken to a cryptographic transformation center where they will be turned into Defilers
- Its housed inside the golden gates area and is one of the most secure places Intrepid has ever constructed
- Ray shielded, Encrypted, Advanced firewalls, guard patrols, Immolation shield walls, and even a Gravity field generator ensure that no one gets in and no one gets out
- Commercial District
- The Heaven spire has a huge commercial district where a great many of its stores and businesses are housed. There are all manner of resources and shops to choose from and there is no shortage of advertisement in what might be one of the busiest areas of the tower
- Industrial district
- The Heaven Spire has an industrial zone inside its structure which not only serves Intrepid and potential buyers by creating necessary parts and amenities but also by providing a steady supply of jobs in the area due to its size and variety of positions
- Residential District
- Provided one can afford the steep cost of rent the Heaven spire offers comfortable housing and In some areas a great view of the clouds and city below
- Entertainment district
- The heaven spire is by no means a boring installation as in its entertainment district one will be able to find all manner of theaters, pubs/bars, restaurants, sports stadiums, Concerts, and even a few museums if that's your thing.
- Waste dump
- Obviously, a place such as the Heaven spire has a large amount of waste to collect, and the waste dump/ Incinerator sees to that end
- Refugee Center
- Being such a large area and crucial planet many people have traveled to Terminus and the heaven spire seeking refuge from war or other dangers. The refugee center isn't particularly known for its utopian environment but it's much better than the places some of those people have run from
- Ravenous' Retreat
- Ravenous' retreat exists at the top of the Heavens gate District and is where Ravenous lives his day-to-day life. His room is surprisingly modest with only the barest amenities visible. Built into the wall is a mold where the Dark Jedi houses his armor and it is a very intricate process to unlock the armor for anyone who isn't skilled or has a cybernetic spine like Ravenous
- Ravenous has an immediate kill on sight order for anyone that enters his room without his express permission and it is said that the order has only been carried out once
- As you would expect this is also where Ravenous leaves his mask and due to its eerie presence and dark energy the room always feels cold and draining for anyone that steps inside
- Main Docking Channel
- The Heaven spire has docks and hangars all over its structure but the main docking channel is bar far the largest and has an enormous amount of space and staff manning it. Hundreds of ships can fit into the dock at a time and its easily the most crowded place in the entire spire
- Transit hub/system
- On a spire as big as this one a transit system quickly became necessary which forced Intrepid to place transit stations all over the spire connected by a central transit hub that dispatches routes and establishes fees and oversees the system as a whole
- Power grid
- It goes without saying the Heaven spire has a huge amount of amenities and functions to worry about so a huge heavily defended power grid is necessary to keep the place running smoothly. The power grid has a multi-directional reserve system, a fail-safe of sorts. Should the main grid ever be compromised or simply malfunction the systems onboard A.I will quickly switch to reserves whilst the problem is sorted out
SECURITY
- High (The Heaven's gate area has maximum security but it only makes up 7% of the structure so...)
- Several guard patrols on every level and district of the spire
- Orbital Defense Cannons guarding the air space above and around the spire
- 1x Shield gate leading up into the main hangar
- Particle Shields in every hangar
- Mk1 Superiority fighter patrols
- A constant contingent of at least 4x Intrepid Class Heavy Cruisers, and 2x Intrepid Class Heavy Destroyers
- Smaller less powerful versions of the Intrepid Class - Gravity Field Generator are placed in the most crucial hangars and docks of the station
- Other less important areas just get normal tractor beams
- 1x Solar energy cannon connected by a rail system that allows the cannon to removed around the spire if needed
- 1x Intrepid Class shield generator protecting the station in the event it comes under attack
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Kriselist was a cesspool from the beginning, even now its criminal underworld runs rampant and unchecked despite all of Ravenous' efforts. But that's all in the past now because Ravenous has created a new fighting force one worthy of being his sword and shield which means he can cut his ties to the scum that runs rampant in the sewers and the corruption that imbeds itself into its enablers. With so many assets to transfer Ravenous settled on Terminus as his new base of operations but the planets governors refuted his request which forced Ravenous towards more underhanded measures.
Over the course of a few months, Ravenous covertly instilled a huge criminal underworld on Terminus which caused massive problems for the planet's leaders and people alike. Eventually, the crime evolved into small-scale terrorism and the people demanded reform to which the government obliged.
This is where Ravenous came in. He knew since he was the one secretly supplying the underworld he could stop it in a timely and orderly fashion under the guise of a new task force that would root out the criminals and reinstall justice. With few other options Terminus accepted which sealed their fate under the new regime.
Ravenous quickly took to building himself a new base of operations in the form of the Heaven spire a massive structure that pierced the sky and challenged the sun. All seemed well except for the underworld which by Ravenous' design had been weakened but not entirely quelled necessitating his regime. Continuing with his plan Ravenous allowed the underworld to grow larger which gave the Dark Jedi greater permissions and more drastic measures were given to the man.
Ravenous began to blur the line between justice and paranoia for Terminus which is why even now his forces nab people off the streets indiscriminately, their familes are left with questions as to why but reciveve no answers or replies other than "This all for your continued saftey." Now Ravenous does what he always has. Endure. Exploit. And Extract whatever he can from those he's tricked and those who trick themselves.
