The Griffin of Vandemar
"A wise man draws his swords when the time is right to wield them. A fool dies with blades still sheathed, fearing that there might yet come a time of greater need. For the sake of civilisation and the Hegemony, we must take the fight to our enemies."
The Hegemony is a newly emerging faction with its narrative based on the remnant of realms which passed away, recent and ancient. Less seeking to establish gone-glory or following antiquated ideals, the Hegemony of Vandemar seeks to bring about its own vision and ideals.
Technocratism. Militarism. Egalitarianism.
But it is not without flaws - where prosperity dwells, where a realm expands, inward sight might grow less watchful in areas, offering room for intrigue, schemes and decadence, for power is a drug and those addicted to it do everything to keep it flowing through their hands. Noble houses, matriarchies or patriarchies, economic upstarts are the ones ruling the regions, cities and sectors of the Hegemony, all devoted to the greater good through their compliance of paying the tithe.
The Hegemony offers a strong and dedicated anti-Force user sentiment, the irony of a leader who is Force sensitive rarely escaping the sight, striving to bring balance to the people, not the Force, giving the masses the opportunity to live without the religious conflicts of Force dogmas.
A ridiculously powerful clone army in the making, high tech droid ships and troops, legacy Stormtroopers or Ultranauts - the military of the Hegemony will have nothing to hide from in the vast Galaxy of terrors, horrors and ignorance.
There is no progress without research and no research without scientists. Genetic research, mutations, the science behind the Force, capturing the power of suns or creating a better life on building better worlds, the possibilities are nigh infinite. Experimental weapons, biological, chemical, atomic, the field of military applications is as prominent as the military is itself.
Despite its indifferent view on origin and blood, some might find that the Human, Arkanian, Thyrsian, Echani and Chiss are especially comfortable in such environment.
