HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Before Illyria was subjugated by Adron Malvern & Alessandra Creed, it was a planet that existed in a state of lawlessness. Noble families skirmished for a chance of claiming control of the world's dwindling economy. Following the Confederacy's intervention and the Malvern line being integrated as the new Monarchy a government plan was put into works. To assure the loyalty and continued efforts of the Noble families who once damaged Illyria so, the Monarchy instilled a system which put some power into the Houses, however it was designed as a way to ensure total power always rested with the Monarchy. Originally the plan did not call for a Chancellorship, however it soon became obvious that running a planet was too difficult to do without someone to see to the administrative sights. Two Chancellors were created, to balance out each other and serve as leaders of the High Court. In recent years the Chancellorship has become a beacon of power for the Noble Houses to aspire to.
