Description: Tionne Solusar’s holocron is nothing more or less than the Great Holocron equivalent created by the supreme archivist of Luke Skywalker’s New Jedi Order. Modeled after the Great Holocron, it is similarly packed with items of immense value and utter trivia. Tionne’s holocron was constructed during the early Yavin Academy years, and from then on it was the New Jedi Order’s central repository for their knowledge and experiences.
It also held immense amounts of folktales, oral histories, songs, and historical research gathered by Tionne and others. It contains complex commentary on the New Jedi Order’s struggle to evaluate the formalities and principles of its preceding Order. There is arguably no greater source on the tensions that define the life of a modern Jedi: restraint versus freedom, compliance versus individuality, solitude versus collective action, tradition versus innovation, the spirit of the law versus the letter -- not to mention the many versions of the Jedi Code and their respective provenances. It contains a rarely paralleled amount of detail on virtually every use of the Force known by the New Jedi Order, as well as accounts of the Order’s long-term relationships with the traditions of the Dathomiri witches and Fallanassi, among others.
Tionne’s holocron was consistently updated throughout her life, and contains a wealth of archival and anecdotal information on the rebirth of the Jedi. It charts the growth of the Order from a handful of students to a galactic force, including a full quarter of a century when there was no need for a Jedi Council at all.
Later chroniclers took up Tionne Solusar’s task after her death, recording the growth and struggles of the Jedi up until the rise of Darth Krayt. The holocron spent time at the Hidden Temple, occasionally updated. After the fall of the One Sith hierarchy, Tionne’s holocron remained a treasure of the Jedi Order, updated sporadically with items of note up until the Gulag Virus. There are no entries dating from the Dark Age.
Tionne’s holocron was rediscovered by the Jedi after Grandmasters Ben Watts and Teferi Efreet recreated the Order in the modern era. It was kept secure in the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. When the One Sith resurgence conquered that world, both defenders and attackers forgot about the holocron entirely, along with the Great Holocron. With the guidance of Grandmasters Darron Wraith and Je’gan Olra’en, the hyperspace explorer Jorus Merrill undertook a mission to occupied Coruscant. He retrieved both holocrons from their secret vault deep beneath the destroyed Jedi Temple, and successfully removed them from One Sith territory with a careful long-term exfiltration. They spent quite some time lost to the galaxy at large, locked in a lunchbox beneath the pilot’s seat of the freighter Gypsymoth.
When Merrill arranged the great Jedi convocation at Sigma Station, he presented the holocrons to the splintered Jedi Order as a whole. Later named Master of First Knowledge by Grandmaster Kiskla Grayson, Merrill secured the holocrons within the Jedi Order Library Card network, and served as their protector for over half a decade. He eventually passed that responsibility to Jacen Voidstalker, who ensured that the holocrons would be available to all Jedi -- remotely, but securely. During the course of returning Tionne’s holocron to its distant place, the holocron’s transport ship suffered an accident, though the holocron remained accessible via the Library Card transmitters. The damaged ship was found by Merrill’s daughter Mara, who returned the holocron to Voidstalker’s custody for continued inclusion in the Library Card system. The holocron of Tionne Solusar, like the Great Holocron, continued to be accessible to all Jedi of the Galactic Alliance, Republic, and Silver Sanctum, as well as many others, through the Library Card transmitter network.
Note: OOC ownership of the Tionne Solusar holocron falls to [member="Jacen Voidstalker"].
