The Hunt Begins

Concord Dawn - Low Orbit and Descending
"There."
He reached a hand forward to indicate the display screen in front of him, or more specifically the small blip it showed on the surface of the planet below. They'd arrived in time to see the ship settling down in its berth, and now that it had stopped moving were well on their way to meet it.
"Have you ever hunted a sentient being, kid?"
He half turned to the young man beside him, gauging his manner and response to the question.
You could tell a lot about a man by how he reacted to the simple things, and Bloodshot needed to know who he'd been paired with for this little outing. If the boy could be relied on and trusted with the task they'd been set.

Things had been moving fast, he'd left Yasha in the care of Quez for a short time in case Preliat was still holding out on accepting that the girl was really there. He and [member="Bloodshot"] had left together to track down the shooter who'd taken a potshot at their Mand'alor, a fething coward. He and the other other man knew virtually nothing of each other, perhaps he knew of Silas' elder brother, as few didn't know the Wolf, but that was likely the extent of his knowledge.

"Plenty vod, I assume you have as well?" He responded, looking at the blip through narrowed eyes. He knew Monroe was a butcher, and that she was undeserving of the title Mand'alor, but he never thought she'd as low as hiring out an assassin. It was cowardly, and unbecoming. Perhaps he should've expected that from the woman who murdered his sister-in-law and millions of others.

He definitely should've expected it.

Silas was no longer a boy, now in his early 20's, but in comparison to most of the warriors he might as well have been a child still. Years of conflict and mercenary work was one thing, but a full crusade alongside an army of vod was something he'd never experienced, so perhaps that marked him as inexperienced. He'd erase that mark with ease if that was the case.

Leroy was looking for work. Ever since he had left the unknown regions finding work was hard. He no longer had his reputation. He didn't know why but he had a feeling he would find work here. With his sniper on his back and his pistol in its holster he exited his ship and began walking througj the planets mercenary hub. [member="Silas Mantis"] [member="Tal Vizsla"]

Not Ordo

Just under the upper hand.

The pursuer class enforcement ship settled down in the proper place, Bay 3579, he always prepared a place to ditch a ship if he was compromised and he felt confident that he was now on a side in this mess regardless of what his original plan had been. He would have to join Monroe now, that or disappear again for a decade or so. He knew he wouldn't disappear, not this time. The hunting was too good to just pass up.

The ship cycled down and Kal went back down the maintenace bay and slid out of the ship though a the strut housing. He only ever used boarding ramps when he planned on being seen, and he wanted to spend as little time on Concord Dawn as he possibly could. He crouched behind the strut as he pulled his rifle case out behind him and a rucksack of personnal items. He could replace the rest easily enough.

With that done he belly crawled under the ship toward an access hatch for the starport waste removal system and dropped inside. The smell wasn't the best but it lead straight out of the city and too a juck yard where he could find some new armor and maybe a ship that could get him back to Mandalore. He was a hunter, and he never gave up the hunt.

"Good assumption."

He'd been hunting other beings since before he could remember, and he could remember a really long time. Sentient minds were his natural prey, and he their...

No!

That was his memories talking. Whatever that thing had left behind. He knew he still had some of the talent for it, could feel it sitting there on the edge of awareness, but wasn't able to bring himself to reach out and touch it.

Not yet.

Maybe not ever.

His head tilted to one side as he cleared it, then he was back at the controls as he brought the ship in for a landing.

"Make sure you've got the slicing gear. We're gonna need it."

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Minutes later, Bloodshot stood staring at the vessel he'd attacked mere hours ago on Mandalore. Thermal scans showed it had recently been fully powered, but revealed nothing of any potential inhabitants.

He held out a hand to the young man beside him.

"I'll take the slicer and check the ship. You find a security hub and get me footage from these cams."

He raised his other hand and indicated the three holo-cams throughout the docking bay. One per exit and a third on the ship itself.

"We need to know which way he went."

Silas simply nodded, passing off the slicing gear to [member="Tal Vizsla"] and turning on his heel to find some sort of security uplink.

It wouldn't take terribly long to locate the hub, the security outpost was a small, single room building manned by a single man. Silas opened the door without a thought and stared down the man from behind the 'T' of his visor. "I need access to your feeds, in the name of Mand'alor the Undying." He said plainly, unflinching as the man seemed taken aback.

"Who?"

He didn't have time for this. Silas closed the gap and hit the man hard. Beskar met flesh and the man collapsed into a heap unconscious. Turning his attention to the displays he located the platform the ship was on in a matter of seconds and re-winded the footage. From the time the ship had landed until now, no one had left any of the exits. Silas arched an eyebrow. Something was off. "Nothing here, if he isn't on board the ship I'm not sure where he went. Is there anything underneath?" He questioned his partner.

Leroy jad left the underworld unsatisfied. None of the people there were anywhere close to his pay grade. He went around the planet amd teo men had caught his eye. He did not know who they were but they were uo to something
