"What the kark is that?"
The Covenant had a ton of missions and activities to do, and even though Lilin preferred real fighting to salvaging and treasure hunting, oddly, she found herself and another Covenant member in a place which name she had not cared to learn, trying to find some kind of treasure or artefact. Why were they there? She had no idea. Was there anything to be found? No clue.
But the adventure sure was fun.
She was standing up while looking at an odd totem on the ground -- something which might have belonged to the primitive natives of the planet, even though she couldn't be sure.
Her eyes turned towards the factionmate she'd had to go to the adventure with, Liam Quez, hoping that he would have something to say about it. The boy was a friend of Ibaris, who was a friend of Taliths, so she kind of considered the boy as a friend.
The totem on the ground resembled nothing, at least to the eyes of Lilin. She could form not a single idea of what it could mean. Maybe some other person would have thoughts about it.
Although she had to note it did resemble something she'd seen on her home planet -- the local Zahati'i had some crazy traditions and rituals which required wooden statues of some kind. And even though they burned these things down really fast and Lilin was definitely not the most expected guest at their rituals, she had managed to see a few of these statues before they were put on fire.
And even though the totem here was definitely not for the same reason, it was a nice thought.
To be honest, she even thought that maybe the statue on the ground had some kind of a hidden meaning, but her mind couldn't just grasp it. If it was supposed to mean something, perhaps its creators should have given it a more definite form?
