The Bounty Hunters' Guild Headquarters,
Nar Shaddaa, Outer Rim
NkdB1Zx.png
The call had been made.

The Hunters - both known and unknown - were summoned for a gathering of professionals. The holo-communication was simple, straightforward, and judging by the interest shown, could potentially lead to some good things for the Guild as a whole. The main foyer of the Guild HQ had been converted into something of a meeting area, with chairs arranged in the middle of the room, and several tables with various local and imported produce for visitor consumption. At the door stood a droid, holding a holo-pad that each individual arriving had to sign in on, just to confirm their identity and to process the appearance payment. As it was, the Guild would have to put up quite a bit of cred, but that wasn't too big an issue, not when it was considered more of an investment in the future of the faction. There was also a weapons rack nearest the droid, where arrivals could check their equipment and have it returned once the gathering had concluded; even the milling Guild members were without weapons.

This was neutral ground. Some traditions had to be respected.

Standing at the far end of the open room, which was decorated with some trophies and holo-pics of past members, was a fully armored Bounty Hunter. Clad from head to toe, no visible or underlying skin or scale or fur could be seen, and were it not for the slow shifting of weight from foot to foot, one could almost assume it was a display. Unarmed, insofar as carried weapons, Sidon Eshe waited patiently, glancing toward some of the members of the Guild who were talking among themselves or moving toward seating, if not both. The future of the Bounty Hunters' Guild relied on the members, those willing to work alongside a network aimed at making their lives easier; unfortunately not all Hunters felt that way, or were otherwise considered lone wolves, for whatever reason. The aim was to see if Sidon, as the new leader of the Guild, could propose reason enough to have the arriving professionals sign up...

It was going to be a tough sell, but it was worth it.

As the doors to the - admittedly, a little rundown - building opened, the droid greeted the first arrival of the gathering, offering the holo-pad for identification and a place on the weapon rack, with the express vow that nothing would be misplaced or incorrectly returned, as it was the droids function to ensure it. Sidon smirked, often considering whether it was worth giving the old droid a memory wipe, just to develop a new simulated personality; but, really, it didn't matter, the droid did its job and it did it well.

"Welcome," Sidon said, shifting his stance to be more upright, as he put his gloved hands on his hips. "I'm Sidon Eshe, leader of the Bounty Hunters' Guild. We'll have a moment to allow others to arrive, and then we'll begin. In the meantime, feel free to enjoy some beverages and food, and to talk with Guild members."

What does a sniper and artist have in common, deta
A contract was a contract, and contracts ended, though Formorta had been keeping her word after being hired out by the Dominion, sticking with the remnants all the way till the formation of the Ancient Eye the time had come to an end. One of the galaxies deadliest snipers now back on the loose with no master to rein her in, more so due to Formrota not having a high reputation. Not that she did not deserve it, with the among of people she had killed and taken in the woman would have been on Par with Koda Fett, but doing so often put a target on your back. Weather it be from rivals or people wanting to end that threat you posed, something that would contradict her silent and sneaky work ethic.

Sooner or later though she would need another job, and what best way to say under the radar but still attain bounty's then a guild. Let the more well known members bring in the customers, then snatch ones that peaked her interest, boom, work, money and still remaining relatively unknown to most of the Galaxy. Unless someone blabbed their mouth off, there was no telling if this meeting would reap some old acquaintances Formorta would rather never interact with again.

Formorta soon arrived at the run down conference room, keeping her usual stoic poise as the doors slid open, a typical protocol droid walking forwards, "..... Formorta, ... here take these". Reaching back with odd flexibility she produced several arms, her massive APAR, and OL-2 sniper, two duel slug thrower pistols and two vibro daggers, ".... don't lose them you hear, or else". It was uncertain if droids felt fear but she made the threat regardless, just so when the time did come it would not be surprised if the pale skinned woman tore its head off.

With registration out of the way it was time to meet this so called guild leader who ever he was, he seemed for the most part, ecstatic, though she was not really sure what to expect, ".... I don't talk much, not unless necessary or otherwise". With that very brief introduction out of the way she excused herself, walking over to the side, eyeing up the different food stuffs offered, but refraining from eating as of right now.

[member="Sidon Eshe"]

Aova slipped into the room, moving with a slow, feline grace. She was clothed in simple spacer leathers, and passed by the weapons scanners without a blip. She'd left her accouterments on her ship in the guild's docking bay. The Guild's stance of neutrality was well known, and well enforced.

Her eyes took in the room, various hunters from all walks of life had come together, here, and those that knew each other chatted, some gathered at tables, and others hovered at the bar. Aova took it all in with a momentary glance around the room, then moved to a high table and slipped into the chair, hooking her feet onto the bar below the seat and leaning on the table as she waited for their guild leader to let them know why they were here.

Trust.

It was difficult to come by in this line of work. Dealing with those that lied, cheated, stole and killed their way to earning a death mark; they were far from good men, yet the odd undeserving individual sometimes wound up in Fett's crosshairs. Unfortunate, truly, though credits were credits and a job was a job. The previous incarnations of the Bounty Hunters Guild had nothing to offer but companionship, something Fett wasn't interested in- the man was a solo act after all. Yet now they offered an incentive, but it was curiosity that brought him here today. The Mandalorian expected to see a fair few familiar faces, but that's all they were to him. Faces.

The enigmatic hunter strode past the protocol droid, for his name had already been ticked off the second he came into it's sight. The armour he wore, whilst not entirely uncommon these days, was recognisable within an instant. A droid, no doubt, had everything it needed to identify someone regardless. Koda offered no weapons, instead choosing to carry them with him. It was a trust thing.

His visor scanned the room ahead of him, shifting from one side to another with the intent of recollecting who these individuals were. Australis, he knew but not well. Formorta, she considered herself his equal; what a foolish mistake, the Mandalorian was unrivalled. Sidon Eshe, the guild master, he didn't know. New to the fold. Didn't eat, didn't drink, didn't talk. Only sat himself down in a vacant chair. Waiting. He had come this far now hadn't he?

She had always been freelance. Never went near a bounty hunters guild of any kind. Except when she did.

Like now for instance. When the droid told her to surrender her rifle and her staff, she had done so hesitantly.

She knew how cut throat Bounty Hunting could get, especially when multiple people were after the same target. She had always stuck to low level stuff, trying hard not to draw the ire of other, more ruthless hunters who would not have hesitated to gun her down. She stuck to bail jumpers, stalkers, bank robbers, street thugs, all low level, all relatively easy...though it took a lot of catches to make the money add up good, half of which went to keeping her ship fueled and maintained and the other half for basic necessities, like ammo and rations.

But the Hunt for the foe that had haunted her for years overrode her sense of caution. Plus, ten thousand just for walking in. That could buy a lot of much needed equipment. She had signed the holopad after checking in her weapons, staring at the interior of the building. She didn't go near the food, or the drink. If things went bad, she wanted to be at least clear headed enough to try making a run for it, in case it ended with everyone getting attacked and eaten by giant dogs from Hell like it had last time. Wait. Skip. Not real. The dogs were smaller and diseased, and not from hell. But they were numerous.

As she walked further in she took a seat by herself, as she knew she was a nobody for the most part, plus, it was a seat close to the exit.

She watched Sidon speak, and got a view of who else had arrived. One leggy looking bounty hunter dressed in black, like Maple was, two Mandos, and another woman who looked like she could pull Maple's spine out. The Mandos could probably do that also, in all fairness.

She tried to ignore the potentially lethal danger she was in as she waited at her seat, waiting for the Guild leaders offer.

Vash was relatively new to this life. The Gand understood what he was doing, he was Finding, finding people who were owing dues or doing wrongs. He was going to bring them to a form of justice, and credits for himself. Mostly credits. That was why he moved off world. On Gand, he did help many beings reconnect with loved ones, or find their answers in the mist. It provided Vash the respect he wished for, but it did not provide the credits of his dreams. That was why he moved off world.

That was why he signed his name on the line when [member="Sidon Eshe"] had approached him. It was a pretty simple call, and now, there was a physical meeting? He could see these others he was going to be cooperating and competing with. This should be very interesting. The ship had the coordinates laid in and had arrived a few hours before the meeting.

It provided time for Vash to ready his weapons and tools of the trade, as rudimentary as they were, cable, rope, virboknucklers, his rifle, and a modified pistol. Simple enough, but lethal enough to start picking off the smaller jobs. Not unsurprising, there were others here. And to the disdain of Vash, a place for weapons and his armor.

He removed what he could, and stepped inside, eyes adjusting, and respirator feeding him ammonia gas. He made his way to the refreshments. And waited, watching.

OOC: We're going to press on to keep interest, those who haven't arrived, just continue as though you were present prior to things starting now.

NkdB1Zx.png

The Hunters arrived, each moving to areas on the floor, following the expected rules, save one. Sidon wasn't surprised, really, as he knew from reputation that Koda Fett had his own method of doing things. The others, they earned a little more of the Guild leader's respect, proving they knew this was a neutral place and those standards were maintained. As G3-A4, the greeting droid, closed the doors and stood diligently beside the weapons, Sidon cleared his throat and stepped forward, face concealed within his helmet.

"I would like to thank each of you for coming to this gathering," The new Guild leader began, giving a nod and looking across the numerous individuals present. "As you may know, the Bounty Hunters' Guild has gone through some changes. My name is Sidon Eshe, and I have the honor of acting as new Guild leader. I am aware some of you are interested in becoming members, and the Guild appreciates that. Some are on the line, prepared to go either direction, and others are here likely due to curiosity... and the appearance fee."

Pointing to G3-A4, Sidon's voice carried across the hall.

"Gee-Three has already processed payment, so each of you is ten-thousand credits richer," Looking to some of the Hunters, including a Gand of all species, Sidon saw a lot of potential. "What I plan to do today, is to discuss new protocols within the Guild, as well as some new services we offer, so let's begin.

"In the past, the Guild members were required to maintain and upgrade their own gear, with no support. As of now, this has changed, and there is a Guild armory. From this armory, every member can claim weapons and armor, and use it until such time as they are able to afford better equipment. Additionally, to help you save more credits, there is only a fifty-percent repair fee on damaged items."

"I've been speaking with individuals able to manufacture weapons and gear for this purpose," Looking to the Mandalorian in black and green armor, Kaine Australis, Sidon nodded. "So they can expect a lot of work and credits for their time."

Walking to his left, Sidon motioned to the hall itself, to the members arrayed throughout.

"In the past, the Guild always acted in a very individualized manner. And that is still the case, if you choose. However, as of now, we are also encouraging pairs and groups to form, so that you can take larger and more paying contracts. Additionally, all members will now have live, immediate access to our ShadowNet information base, which is operated by a professional capable of providing as much information as you need, when you need it... so no more going in blind, and realizing your acquisition has a pet rancor."

"Thank you for coming, may you be with the Mist always on your travels." Looking to the Gand, Sidon reached out and patted his shoulder, before moving on.

"The newest development we've acquired, however, is corporate sponsorship. Now, I know sponsorship sounds like an ugly word, but the benefits allow for every Guild member to be afforded free wares, free weapons, free armor and even free ships, as well as medical benefits," Sidon looked to Koda Fett, suspecting he had a very high cost of services. "In return, if you sign on with that sponsor, you agree to use their gear, their guns, and provide a real-world demonstration for them. Additionally, some of them even pay outright for most costs, and only ask a small fraction of your contract bounty. So in essence, you're getting paid more - and paying less - to do your job, with the best gear."

Passing other Hunters now - Formorta, Aova and Maple - Sidon nodded. He was pleased to see such strong recruits, all of them.

"Finally, before I open the floor to questions, we have been working alongside major groups and factions in the galaxy to secure licensing. These licenses allow any Hunter, who has one, to operate within the legal merit of a contract with minimal hindrance from law enforcement or other forces," Sidon reached the place he had started, passing Koda and several other Hunters. "This allows us to take some more risk out of the job, not for the lack of challenge, but just to assist in avoiding those pesky baton twirlers from trying to establish their authority... plus, it allows us greater flexibility in hunting acquisitions without causing faction conflicts, because the licenses recognize any Hunter as a true neutral party.

"So what does that mean? More bounties, less friction and less chance to cause incidents between sectors."

Opening his arms, Sidon looked around. It was a tough sell, it always was, but Sidon hoped that some of the adjustments - like more opportunity to work together, free wares, and a more fully realized information network - would help sway some to agreeing to sign on.

"I think that covers a majority of it. If anyone has any questions, please feel free..."

What does a sniper and artist have in common, deta
Standing to the side Formorta watched with a sharp gaze as more members arrived, sizing them up, trying to determine what type of hunter they where. [member="Kaine Australis"] seemed like the casual type, and a typical Mando as well going straight for the bar, picking up idle chit chat with his astromech. The following few like [member="Aova Nerys"] and [member="Maple Harte"] did not seem to ring any bells though most likely newcomers to the bounty hunting business, the next person to enter, on my where they a sight that would anyone would recognize.

The Mando had a very large reputation that got him contracts left right and center, quickly rising to the top of the bounty hunting society. Probably putting forward his iconic armor and new found fame to keep the credits rolling in then sheer skill but to each there own. If the man wanted to consider himself the best bounty hunter in the galaxy let him. That being said the mans origins still remained a mystery, an ever present thought the played on her mind. Lastly there was [member="Vash Qruslu"] another newbie from the looks of things, but then again even the smallest of bounties could get you into a guild as long as you met the minimum requirements.

She wondered how many people would attended this little gathering, so far less then ten seemed a little small, maybe the others were just fashionably late, but regardless [member="Sidon Eshe"] had decided to go on without them. The speech was something alright, Formorta noting how the man made more clear indication towards Koda then anything else, get the big fish and the others are bound to follow and all. As for the benefits? being live advertisement for weapon companies was not really her thing, unless she was going to start making a greater name for herself, but on the other hand getting a feel for the latest arms might prove fun.

The licenses, well it was not like any law enforcement could catch the master of master stealth but better safe then sorry, being an assassin too often caught the attention of higher ups, so a little extra help to escape the law was always welcome. All in all it was an alright deal, giving up her more allusive nature for top of the line equipment, more bounties, less suspicion and over all more cash. "One question, how are the bounties picked? do we receive a list of target from the guild and pick them out? do we still operate through regular channels, or both"?

Maple had gotten her ten thousand but had still been on the fence about any pact with a bounty hunters guild. When she wasn't worrying about the worms in her stomach that had never controlled her from birth, she picked out the parts of this deal she liked, all while daydreaming about violently strangling the Mind-Binder to death.

It wasn't so much the hunter license, or the possibility of working in larger groups and splitting the gains somewhat peacefully, or at least as peaceful as it got amongst bounty hunters, nor was it the prospect of sponsorship with greater weapons and free stuff...she had been getting by without that for years. She could live without it.

But that intelligence network...if there was a way it could help her...

Maple's mind was made up. She would join. Just for that network alone, which could help her find that witch, she would risk sticking her neck out in front of all the other assassins and spine-pullers in this place. She might not mind sticking it out in front of that leggy bounty hunter though because dammmmnn. Wait, no, she was probably a spine-puller too. Scratch that, probably be missing a vertebrate by the time it was over, and she liked those. She fed them cupcakes growing up. Wait, no, they were inanimate, unless they were in her, and SHE was eating the cupcakes. Then that statement was technically true. She was still hot though. But probably a spine puller. Probably. Maybe.

She asked her question.

"What if multiple people in the guild are after the same bounty and they are not in the pairs or groups you mentioned. Is it still first-come-first-serve?" Maple asked, calling into question that classic and feared situation for rookie, or low level hunters.

She left her other question attached to that unspoken. Bounty hunters don't like to share their bounties most times, unless they took on an apprentice, and even then...

Would the guild truly bring order to this bloody business, like it had been needing for a while, or would it still be a thinly disguised entropy when it came to cooperation?

Sidon listened to the questions, nodding. It was good the potential members were interested, wanting clarification on things. The first question was from Formorta, the individual's name being sent to Sidon from G3-A4 via the commlink in his helmet.

"A good question, Formorta. There are both public and Guild-specific postings, and every interested Hunter can put their name on the claim. Now, if someone wants to do it individually, that's the benefit of first come, first served, especially for public postings. However, we also have Guild-specific and private contracts, and those often have specific criteria to them - such as teams, or certain skill sets, and the like. So in those instances, the Guild will be open to specialists opting in, or approaching members we think are suited for the task. In this case, those private listings offer a lot of credits, so teaming up if required shouldn't cut into personal profits too heavily.

"Basically, any credits you feel you may lose on public postings by grouping up, can be offset by the private contracts being a member will net you."

Turning to the second individual who asked, Sidon nodded.

"Correct, Maple. When a public bounty is posted, it will still be first come, first served. However, if multiple Guild members both want the same contract, you are encouraged to consider teaming up. It's not a necessity, but the benefit should speak for itself," Sidon shrugged, chuckling. "Obviously the drawback is a lesser contract payout that's split between the team, but the hope is that we will get to a point that bounties are basically mutually exclusive to the Guild... at which point, the majority of that credit flow will be coming at all of us. It's just until that change starts happening, we need to suck it up and think long term gains.

"The reality is we'll never have all of the contracts exclusively, because not everyone will be a member, but if we have most of them... well, that's a lot to gain, regardless of teamwork splits. The bigger the rancor, the bigger the hide, and the more goes around to everyone in the Guild."

The Guild leader waited for more questions...

And so Fett remained at this table, his cautious gaze shifting about beneath his infamously designed helmet. Scorched, scarred and dented - some would say it's seen too much, some would say nothing at all. His eyes fell upon the Gand, and then Maple. The latter was pleasing to look at, especially in comparison to the former. Too bad for the Mandalorian he figured himself a puritan, or at least incredibly close to one. Those looks would find use elsewhere it seemed. Yet as the Guild Master itself spoke, his attention was directed towards Sidon.

Koda idly followed along as his carbine rest itself in his lap. Unsure, really. The extra attention from Eshe hadn't gone unnoticed, and he knew the game that was being played. At the end of the day, like most things in this galaxy, it was a popularity contest. Formorta was right in that assumption, too.

There was a decision that needed to be made and it was most definitely a difficult one. Perhaps for the small time hunters it was easy, but for the big fish in a small pond it proved difficult. Fett's biggest vice was greed, and so the prospect of his credits being taken from him - even if minimal - wasn't well received. He was unsure if anything, and who could blame him? It seemed as if a trial run was deserved, however. It appeared feasible.

The Mandalorian remained seated in isolation. People weren't his thing. He asked no questions, and only observed. Fett believed every question he thought to ask had already coursed through everyone else, so with time it would be answered. However, he believed the Guild looked relatively promising as much as it pained him to believe.

Aova kept her face neutral as she watched more people enter and go to places they felt comfortable. In the back of her mind, she was noting what people went where, as that told a great deal about the person. Even though she didn't have many names to put to faces/other identifiers, the knowledge was at least useful in the short term.

[member="sidon eshe"] began to speak, and Aova turned her head to be attentive to the Guild Leader as he did so. She watched as he moved about the room, meeting the eyes of some, and offering nonverbal greetings. He was trying to make them feel like a more tightly knit group than they currently were. That was a prospect that Aova didn't truly have a problem with, having an organization to formally have your back, provide supplies, and what not, would be a great boon to any hunter in the wider galaxy.

Others had questions, and Aova directed her attention to them as they spoke, and Sidon as he replied. Her own process was to see how things worked, rather than openly question. Her lack of arms or armor, presently, may point to a trusting nature, but she played most of her cards close to the chest, and didn't like to admit information she didn't need to.

Vash was a bit slower moving than most. He was the type to listen to the mist, and as a result, the people who were here. He was watching and taking mental notes. Who were going to be the competition, and who were going to be the people to emulate. He was patient, and he knew that he had some credits to get himself through. The big trick was finding who was dealing some light assault ships, and decent speeders. The weapons, well, he’d handle that on his own.

Procurement as the job continued was what he was thinking. He had his rifle from home, and a moderately illegal pistol.

Moderately illegal strictly in the sense that there was more he could do with it. Keeping himself off to the side, but it was hard to keep a Gand hidden, and he knew that.

“Maybe a bit late. But in the regards to speeders, and starships. Is the Guild contracting with any specific dealers? Either for the ships themselves, or at least support for modifications?”

[member="Sidon Eshe"]

Sidon looked to Vash, listening to the Gand’s question relating to ships and speeders. It was a good question, as most Hunters were known by their personal ships as well, quite often having their reputation preceding them.

“We currently have discussions ongoing with several companies that have ship manufacturing methods," Sidon said, nodding. "There are two currently, with Kryss Industries which is a new business looking to establish itself, and is very capable of supplying personal ships. The second is Kuat Drive Yards, who I imagine most of you know? Their owner has expressed interest in a few deals that will see Guild members fitted out with a suitable ship for hunting purposes, and will also be reinforcing our ship capacity as a Guild as a whole - one such discussion is a mobile command ship for the Guild, where members can dock and receive resupply and enjoy some downtime without having to trek back to Nar Shaddaa, if it’s further away."

Sidon nodded.

"Hopefully between those two options, as a basis, we will see potential for ships for members expand. As for speeders, that will likely come down to personal choice, but I have some contacts that can assist with those smaller craft. Let me know if you want some names after the meeting, Vash."

Looking back to the group, the Guild leader waited for any other questions...

Maple considered Sidon's words, when she wasn't thinking about how long that black haired bounty hunter's legs were, or about Cyborg Count Dooku, who had sworn vengeance on her ever since she had teamed up with Zombie Anakin and Werewolf Obi-wan to burn his castle to the ground with everyone in it, including Palpatine. Wait. False. Skip. She hadn't experienced any of that, though it felt real when it played out in her head.

Cyborg Count Dooku was still the most awesome Count Dooku, however. He had even said it himself. Maple agreed as did the howling snakes that were NOT in her intestines. He WAS awesome. He even had a cybernetic eye! And it glowed red, to show how dangerous he was, or something like that. The episode's details were fast fading from her brain. But she would remember. She always remembered, for the various private hells her brain invented to dump her in between the tics of a second never truly went away.

"The license seems like a sound idea, and it would be nice to be able to operate a little more free with certain authorities. By the way...that Shadownet you mentioned...is its focus exclusively on the location of acquisitions or will it sniff out anyone if you pay it hard enough?" Maple asked

Sidon looked to Maple, inclining his helmeted head. She seemed perplexed, before she spoke. It passed.

"Officially, the ShadowNet is for all Bounty Hunters' Guild contract and bounty uses, providing up-to-date information on acquisitions, their potential contacts, places of residence or known hangouts, as well as lists of known property and possessions, such as off-world housing or starships. The operator can be communicated with at any time during the contract process, but said operator does prepare a case file with each accepted client's request, it's on the member to seek out additional information, should you require it..."

With a shrug, Sidon cleared his throat.

"Unofficially, who's to say some information can't be incorrectly placed? I mean, HoloNet data is a very intricate web, and sometimes information can be mislabeled... but what would I know, I'm no slicer."

Why had he chosen the career as a bounty hunter? It was easy; it was fun. If that wasn't a simple enough answer, as he slipped quietly into the meeting that had already begun the tall half epicanthix leaned against the back wall and let the others discussion give a more thorough explanation. Money, skill, gear and killing were valid reasons but it was the killing that was especially particular to the tastes of the eldest Vekarr. If one were to ask him what his favorite moment in a hunt was, he'd tell them his explicitly detailed account of the first time he ever put a verpine shatter pistol to the temple of his first catch.

Overkill? Absolutely.

Idly passing the time, the mere minutes he had been there already starting to crawl like a slug along the belt of a factory line, the half epicanthix flicked his eyes from individual to individual. First to the silent Mandalorian in the back, then to the one who appeared to be more of a people person and then over all the others until they stopped on a fairly attractive brunette; not without acknowledging each other female in the room but with a clear radar for those with a look of assumed naivety. Silently he noted to himself to approach the young woman after the meeting had ended, a smug smirk crossing his face as he folded his arms defiantly in regards to what their host was explaining.

Did he care for the rules? No. Did he care for the morals? No. Did he have a reason for being there? Absolutely.

Unexpectedly and with as much tact as a wookiee in a trandoshan den, the half epicanthix began to clap loudly and with a sarcastic edge sharp enough to slice through phrik.

"Let's hand it to him, folks, the first personal thing I've heard since I walked in here," his voice thick with cynical sarcasm, the man pushed himself off the wall and stood at his full height. "I mean, seriously, someone give the man a trophy," he continued and slowly lifted his hands up and outwards as if plastering a sign against the space in front of him. "Slack-slicer of the year award goes to the man of mystery!"

And then, as quickly as he'd piped up, he was silent and leaning against the wall with a darkly judgmental expression on his face accompanying a cruel smirk. Had he had a point in saying what he'd said? Absolutely not. But as he watched the others continue to go about their attempt at making the most of the gathering, he made it clear he was not there for the crowd around an play child games. Only after he'd taken a moment to let his words sink in did he purse his lips to speak again, not intent on letting them get the next word in before he'd made his point quite obvious.

"Any nerf herder can tell you that," he breathed, folding his arms again but gesturing towards Sidon once more with a bit less cynicism in his tone. After all this was his moment to make a show of his opinion; he was far from a people person and this was a right proper corral. "Along with everything else I've heard and I've only been here, what, ten minutes? How about we move past the 'pin the wings on the mynock' and actually get something done, yeah? If you have a list of private and public bounties how about you share them so those of us who actually want to get some work done can actually do their job."

Was he done? Hardly. But it was a start.

Sidon turned his attention to the tall humanoid that spoke up, all muscle and bravado and mouth. Clearly the kid figured he was a big-shot, either that or he liked to pretend he didn't care, and wanted to present a persona to those around. In his time, Sidon had lost the need for personas, they weren't worth the effort of maintaining, and most people knew when someone was acting the part. People like this kid didn't fool anyone, not least of which the Guild leader. As a result, Sidon remained still, hands on hips, simply letting the youth get whatever he needed to get out, in order to establish some kind of perceived status within the sentients gathered...

While he spoke, G3-A4 sent through the information for Sidon to check out.

"Jaster, is it?" Sidon asked, inclining his helmet. He spoke normally, same tone, not a single thing different from his mannerisms prior. "I'm glad you're showing some interest and really want to press on with the show. Hopefully it's substance, not bravado. That said, I do have a lot of contracts from various clients that are willing to secure exclusive rights to this Guild, in exchange for large sums of credits... but what I don't have is a list for sentients who aren't Guild members. That's information for behind the curtain, and only signing up gets you there."

Looking to the other individuals, Sidon raised his voice slightly, speaking to everyone.

"I want to be clear, this is all about recruitment and what the Guild offers now compared to then is a vast leap in services," The Guild leader shrugged, his voice sounding as though he had a smile. "At the end of the day, all of this can be accessible to you... but, like I mentioned, membership is a requirement. You join, you get armory, vehicle and limited ShadowNet access. You stay, and pass the three month probation period, then you get unrestricted access to the Guild's services. Which includes full ShadowNet privileges.

"I hope that's clear and answers some lingering questions."

Loudmouth alert. Loudmouth alert.

Maple stared as a young man swaggered in, spouting a devil-may-care attitude, clapping. Maple had a shorthand phrase for this kind of behavior: Trying to be Lur Redtide. Not that he wasn't doing this quite magnificently: it took some beskar between ones legs to mouth off like that in front of hardened killers. Sidon dealt with him the way a bored parent deals with a hyperactive child, or an office worker listening to the same story a co-worker told him three weeks ago, with all the infinite patience that required.

She looked around, wondering how many of them were sizing the kid up for a coffin. Maple would have picked a gold one, because she thought a guy like that would be into bling. Too bad he was a guy. He'd make for an interesting woman, with his attitude. This was of course coming from someone for whom dangerous lovers was a turn on.

Maple decided to be bold, bolder than the others, if only for the sake of distinction. "I'm in. I wanna join. You made your case."

She stared at [member="Jaster Vekarr"], and the others. The nobody had smelled the chum in the waters. Would the actual sharks smell it too? [member="Sidon Eshe"] had made the deal too good for a low level runt like her to pass up, but some of these guys looked like they could afford to remain freelance. Particularly the Mandos. But that was always the case with them. As was the spine-pulling. Or the magnificent tea parties they threw. Wait, no, wrong reality. Not real. Which was a bummer. At least to Maple. She liked tea. And a Mando throwing a tea party was ALSO a Mando not trying to rip your heart out.

[member="Sidon Eshe"] was a decent show man, his answering both hers and the others question as they came one by one, herself forgetting for a moment that most of the people present here were killers, or hardened fighters, but his manner was just so casual. That was the life of a bounty hunter though, killing and taking targets in just an ordinary average day for most probably making the meeting feel like any other business conference to those sitting around.

So far though when weighting up the options of this guild, the pros and cons it seemed to be a decent deal, herself not really picky about the job at had or multiple people going after the same bounty. After all she was quite good at stealing targets away from others, herself having done such to a few of Koda's targets in the past, and at the end of the day she knew her skills as one of the galaxies deadly marksmen would land her contracts many here would not be able to take up.

In all honestly she was slightly enjoying this little get together even though she would never show it, but of course someone had to ruin it, there was always that one individual who would always kark it up. Surprise surprise it also turned out to be the new guy, his attitude reminding her of a certain Mando bounty hunter that was all full of himself, though something told her this guy was much more egotistical.

Sidon managed to deal with him in a manner more fitting of a class room teacher, once again making it seem strange for a business with sole purpose was trying to kill or capture people for money. The man proceeding to finally explaining everything on hand, asking for one more round of questions, though non came to mind for herself, as far as things went she was on-broad, for now anyways. "I will join... just don't expect me to be around much", her statement being more a reference to her anti-social behavior, but also a hint to her mastery of stealth and making sure her targets never see it coming.

The next question was weather or not Koda would join, her own reputation not being enough to make other flock to such a new and unproven guild. It would also give her a chance to test the Mando out in a fight, something that had played on her mind the first time she had heard about the mysterious man.
