The Hutts and Nar Shaddaa

Hey Guys! Popo is trying to gain control back for the Hutts on Nar Shadda, basically trying to usurp the rule of the Black Sun.

OOC i am 100% for this, i think we need to support the Hutts and gain them back their foothold in the criminal element of the galaxy. They are the big criminals in star wars and it seems right that they would be in charge of that sector.

IC Diana is obviously against crime, but i think we could swing it that were essentially trying to start a Civil War between the Hutts and the Black Sun.

If no one else wants to help me in this i would like permission from @[member="Syn"] @[member="Selena Halcyon"] to help the Hutts and have a little authority to deal with these matters.

Yes we just took it, but i think Popo plans to have more of an "underground" criminal organization. Which i am even more for.

Technically, the Hutts are not criminals, right now theyre a oppressed minority. Were just helping them get back on their feet

Plus, this way we control it. At least partially. Pragmatism is important in galactic politics.

More like the Hutts are allowed to micromanage sections of the planet for the Republic. I think the Republic would realize that there is absolutely no way that you will get rid of crime on Nar Shaddaa/Nal Hutta. Its absolutely impossible to do, i would equate it to the United States during prohibition. Any laws the Republic passed and tried to enforce would spawn MASSIVE amounts of black markets, gangs, crimes, etc...

So the theory behind this would be that putting the Hutts back in charge would allow us a modicum of control over the situation.

Oh its not like we trust the Hutts, but who has more experience in reigning in cartel's and gangs than the Hutts? The Old Republic utilized the same tactic after all.
