Private The Hutts Dilemma: Tying Up Loose Ends

Currently having a sitting at the bar in the Cantina after a smuggling job with a Trandoshan, Gar'n now having a drink and counting his credits, after a good paying job. He's sitting across the Trandoshan he was working with called Cattamx Ver, who he had work alongside a couple of times before. The both of them currently sitting together in the Cantina so they can divide their pay and plant to discuss future job together Gar'n need some money as he wanted to get an assistant droid to help him during jobs, especially when he takes on solo jobs and now working as a medic with the Underground. At first he thought of stealing a droid, but all the droids he come across are either astromech or a protocol droid, as the droid he needed is one that can be his enforcer and an medical assistant. As he was drinking with Cattamx, he said "Can't believe our pay got cut, just because i punched a guy" with an disgruntled voice. Cattamx replied to him with a slight growl "You punched his brother!. what did you expect?" as he continues to divide their credits. "Well he deserved it!" he said in a stern voice, "He tried to leave us for dead with those pikes!" he continues to grumble. "And that's why i'll be taking 65% of the pay" he said while giving a grin to Gar'n and gives him his share after he's done counting. "Fine" Gar'n answered while shaking his head in disappointment, "Should have give him another hit if i knew they we're gonna cut our pay" he continued to grumbled.​

Just as he was gonna get another drink, he got a message through his comms from Nar Shadda from someone he hasn't spoken to in awhile after he helped Gar'n and his mother escaped from Nar Shadda. He looks at the name of the sender, it was one of his father old friend when he was still alive working for the Hutts. His name is Avach, he's a mechanic for the Hutts, and was Gar'n father drinking buddies. The message he sent was Heads up kid, i heard that Gaji is looking for you to tie up some loose ends.. I wanted to warned you earlier but it was hard getting to you. This is all i can do for you kid, best of luck. "Damn" he stops drinking as he finished reading the message, he can't believe what he just read. He thought that he was in the clear after years of leaving Nar Shadda and avoiding anything related with the Hutts, but he was wrong, now the man who killed his father is going after him to make sure there's no loose ends, after he framed his father for something he didn't do any incurred the Hutts wrath. "Guess you can't run away from your past forever" he murmured softly to himself, as he then finishes his drink and stand up from the table. ​

"I gotta go" he said to Cattamx, as he grabs his stuff and credits in a hurry. "Where you going?" Cattamx asked while looking at him, "Something came up, got an unfinished business i need to attend to" he answered him. "Just don't forget about our next job" he said to him, as Gar'n starts to head out of the Cantina "Don't worry i won't". As Gar'n exited the Cantina, he starts to head to his ship he was renting for the job he had finished with the Trandoshan, he didn't own a ship as he didn't consider it as something he needs immediately. While he was walking towards his ship, he thought to himself Okay what's my game plan here, i know he'll probably go to either my last known location or where i usually go. So either Tatooine, Coruscant or Bespin. He paused, "Coruscant...." he said in a low and worried voice, as Coruscant is where his mother is located where she's hiding from the Hutts. He starts to run towards his ship as he realizes that his mother will be a target as Gaji is going to eliminate ALL loose ends, which includes his mother. He arrives in front of his ship, as he then enters the ship and head over to the cockpit so he can head on out to Coruscant.​

In the cockpit, Gar'n begin to turn on the engine and starts the ship, as he then take off and begin to head off to Coruscant. "Okay, i need to come up with a plant" he said to himself, "More than that i'm gonna need some help" he continued talking to himself. He wanted to ask Cattamx for help but he didn't trust him enough he won't double cross him, as he is a bounty hunter. So Gar'n has to find someone he can ask for help and know they can be relied on. He then remembered someone who had dealings with the Hutts and can be bargained with, which was Rook, as slicer he had work with before. "I got no one else in mind, so let's bet on her" he said with an anxious look, and begin a holocall to Rook. As the holocall starts to beep, a few moment later it was answered, "Heya Rook, you busy? he asked her "Cause i kind of need your help" as he said to her trying to play it cool to downplay the situation his in.​

Rook slid down one of the grimy alleyways that littered the lower levels of Coruscant. Having previously owned an operation down there- she knew the paths like the back of her hand. And these were one of the times that it came in handy. Vaulting over a tipped trash can, Rook used that momentum to pull herself up on to the roof- before continuing at a run.

She could hear the sound of speeders gaining on her and decided to try her luck in one of the many run down cantina’s. Stepping in- she sighed and raised her hands, for sitting there was a tall Devarion male with black skin and blue horns.

He let out a toothy grin before gesturing to a chair.
“Rook- It seems that you still owe something to the hutts.”

Sighing- Rook sat down and the Devarion sat down opposite her.
“You can’t very well say after 850 years I still owe them those credits. I’m pretty sure they took away all my business after I disappeared.”

The Devarion laughed, then became serious once more.
“My boss doesn’t see it that way so-“

Then Rook’s comlink chirped, they both looked down at it. Quickly forming a plan, Rook looked back up.
“This might be the credits- Imma need some privacy.”

Cheap and easy ploy- but one that often worked. The Devaron didn’t look convinced though so Rook continued.
“If I don’t answer it- Both of us are in deep Poodoo.”

RThe Devarion nodded after a few seconds.
“Very well- but if you try and escape, we will find you.”

That was a threat she heard everyday- but with the Hutts it was more dangerous.
Ah well, I’m always up for a suicide run.

So Rook nodded and the Devaron left the room- a few swipes in her data pad told her that he genuinely had left her alone. And another sweep with her cybernetic eye told her that there wasn’t any listening devices.

What was that guy up to... Never mind for now.

She answered the comm and lo and behold it was her old acquaintance Gar’n asking if she was busy Cause he needed some help.

“Not really,” She said in reply to his question,”What’s up?”

He's patched with Rook through holocall, as he continue to head towards Coruscant. "Where you at right now? Gar'n asked her, "I kinda have a problem with one of the Hutts Lieutenant, and i need to solve it as fast as possible" he explained to rook trying to get straight to the point as there's not time to beat around the bush. "Basically, this Hutt Lieutenant wants me dead, and is probably going after my mother too". he gave her a quick summary of the situation, "Now i'm on my way to Coruscant, as that's probably his first stop to find me and it's where my mother located at" he paused for a moment as he's quite agitated by the thought of his mother being targeted. "I know you had dealings with the Hutts in the past so i reckon i come to you for this" he continued talking, "I'll pay you credits if you help me out with this", and then he added "If it's not enough, i'll OWE YOU A FAVOR", hoping it will sweeten the deal and ensure Rook will help him out. Gar'n is willing to give anything he own to save himself, and especially if it involves his mother, who's the only living relatives he got left.​

Gar'n is currently in hyperspace, going as fast as possible so he could reach Coruscant before Gaji arrived, as he wants to take the first move to get ahead of him. The ship his currently on isn't exactly the fastest ship in the galaxy, as it's purpose was to transport supplies, which he did used it for with the job he finished early on. The ship maybe goes faster than a transport ship but not as fast as a starfighter or a typical freighter ship.​

"How about it?" he asked her as he continue to race towards Coruscant​

In all honesty- Rook would have done it for nothing. If she could do anything. She was a sucker for families- and if Gar’n’s mother was in harms way, she would kriff well do all she could.
“I would help- but the Hutts and I aren't agreeing much these days.” She said with sincere regretfulness,”I can protect your mother though.”

She looked towards the door which the Devarion went out for a second then silently stood up. Walking over to that same door, she crouched down and rolled a grenade under the door.

Seconds before it blew off, she went to a nearby window and shot it before hopping out. Back on the streets, she rushed to an alleyway that would shield her from the explosion.
Just In time- for seconds later the ground shook with the large explosion.

"Right that will do" he told Rook, "You can find her on the mid lever of Coruscant, her name is Roberta Rumack, she works as a cook at a diner called Indie's Diner". He continued to explain the details, "If you can protect her from a distance, don't want her to know what's going on unless there's no choice". "I'll be there as soon as i can, Comms me if anything develop" he told her as he then closes the holocall. He then took out his flask from his bag which he put on the empty co-pilot chair next to him, as he then took a sip from it. He checks the navigation chart to determine how long until he reaches Coruscant, Gar'n is still in hyperspace, will take a bit more time until he reaches Coruscant. He hopes he gets there in time before Gaji arrives on Coruscant with his lackeys and get reach his mother.​

"I sure do hope i'll get there before him" he said to himself as he took another sip from his flask to calm his nerve as his ship still in hyperspace, and won't come out of hyperspace and arrive on Coruscant for awhile.​

While on Coruscant, what Gar'n feared had just been realized, as Gaji arrived before him,, bringing 12 men with him. Most of his men are Gamorrean, only a few are humans, while he himself is a Weequay with a large build. He brought his finest men alongside with so, so he can end this quick and get on with it, as he doesn't want to fail killing the Rumacks. He sent 2 to his mother apartment , 5 to guard the ship and wait at the spaceport in case Gar'n comes through here, as the rest comes with him to the Indie's Diner. He didn't bring to many people with him as these 12 men were a capable bunch, be it in a firefight or a brawl, they don't mess around. Gaji himself is a dangerous fellow, you don't become a Lieutenant for no reason, as for him he has done a lot of dangerous jobs for the Hutts, and showing no mercy. He's good with a blaster but dangerous on close combat, as knife and bladed weapons are his specialty, he is very efficient with them. Once he planned out his strategy and ready his men, he told his men to get started, as all of them heads out to their objectives.​

With Gaji arrived earlier than Gar'n, his now at a disadvantage, as not only he'll reach his mother before him but he will also have the drop on Gar'n as soon as he arrived on Coruscant Spaceport. Gar'n and Rook will be fending of Gaji and his goons by them self until one of them is able to defeat their opponents they will face and help the other.​

Rook looked at the ruins of the Cantina- Yup, she was in deep trouble now. But that wasn't the problem right now- She needed to get to Indie's Diner. A few swipes on her datapad showed her where the diner was.

"This sounds urgent..." She muttered to herself thoughtfully then nodded. While descending the levels, she plugged her datapad into her mind and accessed the security camera's. Since Rook knew now where the Diner was- she pulled it up in her mind.

All looked normal around the place- but that could mean nothing. Once Rook got to the level- she was relieved to see that the Diner was rather crowded, apparently it was a good source of business. Looking both ways, Rook hopped onto one of the buildings that overlooked the Diner.

From under the mysterious layers of her poncho, Rook brought out a collapsable sniper. Unfolding it, she set it down. She switched off the connection to her datapad and instead favored her own vision. Laying on her front, she watched the Diner for a few minutes until she spots movement. "And what do we have here?" Rook muttered as she zoomed up on the movement.

Then she cursed, two Gamorrians. They were thick looking thugs who were making their way through the bustling crowd. She snarled as they ruthlessly cut down several civilians in their rush to get to the Diner. Rook discarded the sniper and brought out some heavy-duty knives. She hopped down from the building and made her way to the Diner's doors.

Near the diner, Gaji sent two of his Gamorreans goons ahead of him to the diner, as he waits with 3 of his men a few blocks away from the diner in front of a plaza. He'll head over to the diner, once his the two Gamorreans who's scouting ahead of him, calls him and notified him if any of the Rumacks are there. Meanwhile the other goons he sent to the apartment is already there and searched every inch of the apartment as there's no sign of the Rumacks, which they then notified him. "All right, i want you two to stay at the apartment for now" he told the two human goons waiting in the apartment, while the Gamorreans approaches the diner and almost at the door.​

Meanwhile at the Coruscant Spaceport, Gar'n finally arrived on Coruscant, and was about to land at the spaceport where he saw a couple of Gamorreans as he was passing by one of the hangars. This is not looking too good, they got here ahead of me, he thought to himself as he starts to begin docking at the Coruscant Spaceport. As he was landing, he's initial thought was to head straight to the diner, but he decided he's gonna take care of the guys guarding Gaji ship, as he knows he can count on Rook to take care the ones heading over to the diner. Gar'n docks his ship at the hangar, he was docked not to far from Gaji hangar, he knew he can get the drop on them, as he doesn't know what ship Gar'n uses or when he arrives. He then head out of his ship and the hangar, as he head over towards the hangar where Gaji ship and his goons are located. He starts running towards Gaji ship, as he unfasten his blaster holster so he'll be ready to shoot when he confronts the goons there.​

He sent a message to Rook through comms telling her he arrived at Coruscant, and he's going to take care of the goons at the hangar first before heading to the diner. He also told her Gaji will probably send scouts first to the diner to survey and secure the place, before he goes to the diner himself.. He then send her a piece of advice telling her to be cautious if she meet Gaji, as he's quite tricky and will do anything to get what he wants. Gar'n continues to head over to the Gaji ship as he tries to go there and clear it up as fast as he could.​

Rook glanced down at the message Gar'n sent her- yes, she would be careful and the scouts would soon be dead. Returning her gaze to the street- she snared as the Gamorrians cut down another innocent bystander.

She pushed forwards through the crowds until she was ahead of them, then she suddenly stopped. The Scouts grunted as they continued on until they reached her, then they tried to shove her aside. Rook healed the knives tight between her hands then slid backward with them raised, they pierced both of them on the fat of their exposed bellies.

One of the Gamorrian screamed in rage and pain and tried to bring it's axe down towards Rook's head- she easily dodged and kicked the other dying one it the Axes way. It split its head open and its brain spilled out on the street.

All around her- the crowd was screaming and trying to avoid the mess of blood and brain that covered the center portions of the street.

"Oh well- to kriff with being subtle." Ignoring the panicked attempts of the crowds, Rook dragged the heavy meat bags over to an alley and disgarded them there.

Now she would wait until the next wave came. Leaning against a wall- she reopened the security feed and decided to quickly check on Gar'n.

Over at the courscant spaceport hangars, Gar'n is on the 2nd floor looking over the Gaji goons guarding over his ship, as he look over the surround area to come up with a plan. As he looks around the hangar, he gaze Gaji ship, he was quite awed by it, it was a YT-2400 Light Freighter. "That is one nice looking ship you got there, Gaji" he said in a soft voice, "I think i'll be taking it" he continued talking to himself softly. Gar'n wasn't really looking to get a ship, but since this was a ship owned by someone he hated some much, and looking to kill. He thought to himself, might as well take his stuff, since he's not gonna need it anymore once Gar'n shoot him in his ugly face.​

He begins his attack on the guards, as he'll start by going after one guard who outside the hangar door alone as the other one who was supposed to be outside the hangar with him went inside to get a drink. Gar'n went down and head oustide the hangar, he then blend himself with the crowd that was going to pass the hangar as he slowly goes over to the guard outside the hangar. He takes out his stun baton, as he gets nearer to the guard and almost close enough for him to take him out. As the crowd passes the guard, he detaches from the crowd and thrust his stun baton to his neck, as it incapacitated him. Gar'n then looks around to see if anyone saw that, as he realize the crowd that he blended was already far ahead and didn't notice, while no one else seems to noticed it, or maybe even don't really care, as this sort of things tend to happen in Coruscant. "One down, four to go" Gar'n muttered to himself, as he move the knocked out guard somewhere he won't be found. He then head on in to the hangar inside and goes to take care of the rest.​

Once inside the hangar just near the door, he peeked from behind the wall that blocked the view of the guards inside towards the entrance. He saw 2 guards playing sabacc on a table at the side of the hangar, while one stayed inside the ship taking a nap, and the last one is coming back to the hangar entrance after getting his drink. This was a chance to thin the guards more, as it will be easier for him to take care of the rest in a firefight, knowing a firefight will happen if he wants to finish things up quickly. As one of the guards returning to his post outside the hangar, Gar'n once again take him out using the stun baton, and laying him on the wall. With now only 3 guards left, out in the open and close to each other, Gar'n has no choice but engage them in a firefight.​

Back over at the diner, it's been awhile since Gaji had sent the two scouts towards the diner. He tried calling them through their comms but there were no answers, "Seems young Rumack is there" he said to the guards not knowing as it was in fact Rook who took care of his scouts but he didn't knew that. He then call the two guards at Ga'n mother apartment telling them to come meet up back with him. as he needed them after losing his scouts. "If those two muscle heads got taken out without them being able to warn me of any kind must mean young Rumack isn't working alone" as he continue to talk to his guards. He decided he'll have to re think his plan, now that he knows he isn't dealing with only Rumack. He heads on over to one of the Hutt hangouts to hire more guys to aid him, he then comms the guards at the hangars telling them to come meet him at a Hutt controlled building,where he's heading towards. One of the guards playing sabacc answered him and responded they'll come immediately, which they didn't as they continue to play sabacc and delay themselves going there.​

Gaji now with his 3 bodyguards starts to head to the Hutt controlled building, as the rest of his goons will soon meet him there, where they're going to add more guys and rethink their plans as Gaji didn't expect Gar'n to bring someone or even be prepared for him. All he knows right now, is that someone tipped him off and told Gar'n he was coming.

Rook let out a small chuckle- the security footage showed her Gar’s intent. Definitely sounds like something he’d do but probably not the best time to do so.

Still leaning against the wall, the putrid stench of the carcasses made her wrinkle her nose in distaste. Trust the scouts to be one of the most smelly aliens out there- nothing compared to a Hutt, but still. She took a deep breath before walking up the the remains.

Grabbing their legs, she hauled them further away from her and the street- unfortunately, she ran into someone else.

“I told you that I’d find you,” TShe turned around with a sigh to see the Devaron. After searching on the way down here- she know new his name was Ranoe. He grinned, then his eyes fell on the dead. He let out a loud belly laugh,”You’re dead- you know that? Attempted assassination on me and THESE two!! Do you have a death wish?”

Rook sighed and looked Ranoe up and down. There was a few burnt marks on his skin- but nothing else. He got out pretty much unscathed.“Actually, I just want to keep my head.”

She held up his comlink that was now in her hand,”Ya gonna call your boss or should I?”

Ranoe’s face twisted into a snarl and he snatched the comlink out of her hand,”So the great Rook has become a lowly pickpocket, how rich. Now you can listen as your fate is decided- Wait, No. I’m going to take you down myself.”

Oh you idiot. You play yourself straight into the palm of my hand.

Rook has figured since there had been no counter- that the officer had gone to a Hutt stronghold to gather more men. Might as well try and stop it from the source- while keeping her head.
“Joy.” She said flatly. Ranoe brought out some cuffs but Rook shook her head.“You know those will have no effect.”

Ranoe considered, knowing the truth in those words then roughly put a hand on her shoulder and squeezed. Being trapped- Rook couldn’t exactly escape. She didn’t wince when he dislocated her shoulder and pushed it behind her back. She could work with it.“There,” He said grinning,”Now let’s move.”

As there's stil 3 more guards he had to take down, Gar'n took out his blaster from his holster and slowly get near the two guards who are enjoying themselves with a round of sabacc. He walks slowly to them and said "I hear uou guys looking for me", as they stared at each other for few seconds until Gar'n began to shoot at them and hit one of the guards that were playing sabacc. Because the guards were to busy playing sabacc, they didn't saw him coming and while the other one who's inside the ship still seems to be asleep. It was quite lucky for Gar'n as now he only has to worry about the last guard in front of him, Gar'n then did a barrel roll towards a stacked cargo box, and uses it as cover. The guard being in open space, tried to find cover as he ran to the side to find one. Gar'n noticed the guard tried to run for cover, which he used that moment to peek out of cover and shoot him. The blaster shot hit his shoulder which caused him to get knocked onto the floor. The guard now in pain, as he put his hand on his wounded shoulder while trying to reach for his gun which was knocked to his side, when he got hit. Gar'n then comes over to the wounded guard, as he then kick the blaster away from his reach and point his gun at him. "Now i want you to tell me where Gaji is or else i'm going to shoot you again" he said in a stern manner, "And this time i'll aim for the head" as he point his gun to his temple to intimidate him. "I'll tell ya!! I'll tell ya!!" the guard said in panicked, "He said he's going to get more guys, i can give you the location". "Do tell" he said to the guard with a grin, "He's going over to some shop, the Hutts own, that's where he's going" he quickly answered him. "Please don't kill me, i told you where he is" he begged Gar'n, "Sorry pal, you knew the risk going into this line of work" Gar'n smiled as he then shoot him, killing the guard.​

Gar'n then goes over to the ship, as he then enter it and head over into the cockpit. Where he saw a Gamoreans sleeping so soundly, on the pilot chair, this is why Gamorreans are only good for brute work, never delicates ones. Gar'n shoots the Gamorreans as he sleeps, "Sorry lads, this is personal" he said to the dead Gamorreans on the chair. He then contacted Rook, "Hey Rook, i took care of the Gaji lackeys back at the spaceport", he told her "Now seems he's heading over to some Hutt shop to get more men". "I'll head on over to the diner and meet you there" as he then closes the call, and gazes around the ship. "Could use a little work, but it will do nicely" as Gar'n decided he's going to take Gaji ship for his own. Gar'n goes out of the ship and then head on over to to find the spaceport operator. He gave the spaceport some credits, to clean up the bodies, and told him that to care of the ship and he told him is now his. That's the thing about Coruscant, it may looks shiny and all, but deep down, it the same as any other planet, corrupt and dangerous. Finished with his deal with the spaceport operator, he then starts to head over to the Diner when his mother and Rook is at.​

Meanwhile, Gaji and his remaining goons now arrived at the Hutt Shop he talking about earlier, inside was a lot of gangster and bounty hunter who work s for the Hutt Cartel. There Gaji starts to hired some more guys, after he lost a lot of his men, as he know the guys over at the Hangar is dead after hearing no news from them. He then heads over to a an IG Unit, as he told him he has work for him. "IG, i want you to take 5 guys with you, head over to the Diner and take care of the Rumacks" he ordered the IG Unit, after that the IG United starts to head over to the Diner along with 5 Hutt goons. A moment later, a blue skinned Twi'lek wearing a suit walks over to Gaji, "What's going on here Gaji?" he asked him. "Just a little business i have to deal with" he told him as he gave a cold look at him. "Does the Hutts approved of what's going on here" he contiued asking him, which Gaji replied "The Hutts don't need to know" he told the Twi'lek as if his threatening him. "All right, but i don't want to be invovled in this" the Twi'lek told him, "Just remember of the consequences" he warned Gaji as the Twi'lek then goes away. Gaji snarled at the Twi'lek as he then sit on a chair.​

The Devarion lead her to a chain of shops that the Hutts seemed to own when her comlink chimed. Ranoe looked at it then grunted,“Answer it.”

Rook did and Gar’n’s Voice came over and told her about Gaji’s men and the dinner. Then Gar’n ended the call; Ranoe looked to her with a slightly disbelieving look. “You really do have a death wish.”

“Sorry old friend,” Rook said with a small smile,”The Hutts and I just don’t work anymore; however, you are free to join us.”

Ranoe laughed at her boldness,”Oh Rook- you haven’t changed. My allegiance is to the Hutts though.”

With a small disappointed sigh, Rook shifted her stance,”Thank you for taking me here.”

Ranoe looked confused for a second before realization dawned, but it was too late. Rook jerked backwards with a hidden knife raised, he dodged but that wasn’t her intent. She slipped around behind him and brought out a tazer- before taxing him.
“A shame,” Rook said as his body fell,”Coulda used the brute strength.”

But now she had a decision- her being only a few feet from the very place Gaji was hiding she could try and shoot the place up, or she could wait for Gar’n...

She decided to go to Gar’n, but before she did, she placed a mini camera on Ranoe’s horns.
There, that will do.

Gar'n now arrived at the Diner. but he's not inside and with his mother. He's currently at a Cafe across the dinner at the right-side, on the balcony sitting and having a coffee. He doesn't want to go inside the dinner, even though he wants to meet with his mother, as he doesn't want her knowing what going on and have her panicked. For now he'll standby at the Cafe, drinking coffee while he wait for Rook or if Gaji sent another one of his goons, which he know he will, to the Diner. He relaxes himself on the balcony as he sit as he watched over the area at the Diner, while he ordered some food in the meantime.​

He knows he has to deal the goons that Gaji will probably send again to the Diner, before he can go after him at the Hutts Shop, it's the best way to thin their numbers and ensure his mother safety. For now he's quite satisfied, as he know he took a lot of Gaji man power, and that he also stole his Ship. He's quite delighted that Gaji was kind enough to let him take his ship, as he needed a ship for future jobs, as he can't keep hitching ride or renting ships. This will lessen his financial output with him having his own ship, "Can't wait till i'm done here and take that baby for a ride" he laughed at the thought of him driving his new ship.​

He then looks at the time and said "Now where's Rook?", as he wonder where she is. He's going to talk to her about the current situation and how they'll move ahead to deal with Gaji. He hopes Rook is willing to help him take Gaji out at the Hutts Shop.​

Rook had relocated her shoulder easily, even if it was in a crude fashion more often used by drunks.

Still connected to the system-Rook was now watching Ranoe’s movements as he started to sir. There was a lot of cursing to what she grinned to, then he ambled into the shops.

In her own time and place, she was coming to the place that she was supposed to meet Gar’n. And sure enough, there he was sipping a cup of coffee.

Gar'n had just finished his cup of joe, as he saw his food about to be delivered to his table. Then Rook finally arrived and came over to his table, as she then sat down in front of him. The waiter then arrived at their table as he then set Gar'n food, which was a steak and a glass of wine. "So i guessed you dealt with some of Gaji men?", he asked her as he put a napkin on his neck as he was about to eat his steak. "Did you went to the Hutt Shop?" he asked her another question, "Because i assume that's where you were before you got here", Gar'n cut his steak and took a bite of it. "This is a good steak" he said as he took another bite of his steak, "Better than the ones i had on Bespin" he added. "You Should get something while we here" he gave Rook a suggestion, as he continue to finish his steak.​

"Right, let's get right into it" Gar'n wipes his mouth as he stops eating his steak for a bit. "Gaji will probably send another batch of goons here" he starts to explain to Rook, "Which in my opinion means two things". "First, he's either going here with his goons to finish it" he speculates what Gaji plan is, "Or the most probable one, he sent his goons here as he stay in the Hutt Shop, where he bunkers down and wait for us to go there and spring a trap when we go there". Gar'n took a sip from his wine, "So our only options is to wait here, take care of the goons he's sending and then go after him at the Hutt Shop" he told Rook. He then looks towards the Diner and scans the area for a bit as he then take another sip of wine.​

While a few street away, the IG Unit and the 5 goons Gaji sent is about to arrive at the diner, coming on speeders. The goons that is coming along with the IG Unit brought explosives and automatic blaster, which make it more dangerous for the civilians that will be caught in the upcoming firefight. An IG Unit alone is tough with them having tough bodies and pin point accuracy, but with 5 more goons with him, it will be hard to take them down without causing damage to the area. "I shall spearhead this attack as i want 2 on each side and 1 on the back covering our rear" the IG Unit telling the goons their plan of attack "Our target will most likely be on the somewhere on the high ground outside the diner" he told the goons, "I want you stay on cover if they are indeed on the high ground and focus on flanking them and providing suppressing fire on them" as they then continue on their way to the diner.​

The waiter came and asked her if she wanted something, a bit rudely after seeing her scars. She declined- she didn’t eat or drink much when she had stuff to do. Gar’n finished up his steak and told her the only logical course of action.


Rook nodded at his plan,”That sound about right. Previously- I was snipering from the roof. It‘S a good tactic and I will be able to see when goons come.”

The waiter came and took his plate before offering him more wine. Gar’n, she want surprised to see, took it.

Rook took out her data pad and quickly hacked into the security system, she stood up, then paused and handed Gar’n the pad showing the goons only a few blocks away.

“Hope you’re ready,”

"That ain't good," he scratched the back of his head, as he then added "I'll head on over to the dinner in case they decided to go in, so cover me once i go in". He looks at the datapad she handed as he saw an IG unit with them, "Guess he's bringing in the big gun i see". "They'll probably going to split into two once there here" he told Rook, "The biggest threat will be the IG Unit, worked with them a couple of time and let me tell ya they're a real piece of work" he said in a tensed voice as he knows how dangerous they can be especially if they're backed with men. He stands up as he put the meal payment of his desk, he then stars to walk downstairs towards the exit door. As he start to walk away from the table they were sitting he turn around to Rook and said "I'll stay on the alley next to the Diner before i go in there so i can give them a welcoming beforehand" as he grinned while saying that to Rook. "I'll leave the overwatch to you Rook" he gave her a two finger salute as he starts to head down so he can take a position on the alley. The alley will be a great starting position to ambush them and to be able to get in the Diner before them, Gar'n will take a few shoots at them before he heads in if he's need. "Right it's just an IG Unit no prob" he said to himself to boost his confidence as he is almost at the alleyway to take position.​

Meanwhile The IG Unit and the goons with him is about to arrive at the Diner as it straight in front of them. The IG Unit zooms in on the location to see any possible ambush point, he pinpoint the two alleyway next to the diner and in front of it at the right side next to the Cafe, and he also see there's a few building with a good view of the surrounding one of them is the Cafe Rook in but he cannot determine which one is the most possible one to be used as an ambush postion. "Eyes up on the 2nd floors infront of the Diner they may be possible tangos up there" He told the goons with him as he then added "They may also be position in the alleyways or inside the Diner so once we arrived in a few seconds start to shoot anyone who seems hostile, don't take any chances" He told them as it may be the best way to eliminate any problem. As they about to reach the diner and stop, he saw Gar'n walking towards the alleyway, as the IG Unit confirmed it was him with the data he was given, which he then to begin firing this weapon towards Gar'n. "1st Target spotted, dismounting now" he said as he stopped his speeder so he can proceed towards Gar'n on foot while the Goons continue with their speeder where they'll stop infront of the Diner​

A blaster shot flew past Gar'n, "Damn it" he said as the blaster was close to hitting his head, he then run towards the alleyway to take cover and start shooting back at the IG Unit. "Shouldn't have taken my sweet time going here i guess" as he laughed while take pot shot from cover at the IG Unit. He saw the IG Unit dismounted a bit further from the diner than the rest of the Goons who's stopping in front of the diner. "Guess that will give me time to handle the small fries first" he smiled as he changed his target towards the Goons, as they dispersed from the speeder, where Gar'n shot one of the goons who was slow to get to better cover. Gar'n shot him at the back which caused the goon to fall down, "One down" he said to himself. The rest of the goons starts to shoot at Gar'n after getting into a better position with more cover, focusing their blaster on the alleyway, as they haven't realized Rook was on the 2nd floor of the cafe.​

Rook smiled sadistically when she saw the goons. She removed the sniper from her poncho and set it out, She had one shot until her position was given away, so she aimed at the IG unit.

“Come on,” She muttered to herself as she aligned with it, it was moving relatively fast, but she had LOTS of practice sniping.

But another movement caught her eye- a Goon had snuck behind the alley Gar’n was in. Pulling out another blaster she forfeited her position for a second, vaulting to the next roof and shooting the goon.

She quickly rushed back to her sniping position- hoping that hadn’t blown her cover.
