STANDARD FEATURES
Possesses the standard features an organic ship of its class and size would need to operate normally.
  • Modular Life support.
  • Dovin basal approximation for shields, engines.
  • Bio-Chem Computer Systems comparable to this for navigation, communication, etc.
ADVANCED SYSTEMS
  • Organic. The ship was crafted and shaped from nature. From the hull to the internal systems there is no trace of metal to be found. This is comparable to ancient designs of the Teljkon Vagabond, the Fairwind, Ithullian Ore Haulers and Yuuzhan Vong starships. Its ability to traverse Hyperspace is reminiscent of the Purggil.
  • Living. The ship is alive and has a keen sense of self-preservation. It only trusts its makers, which it sees as its family.
  • Linked. It is linked to both Vessa and Coniferous. They can communicate with the ship through their mind, taking control over navigation and similar feats.
  • Life-Song. The ship is saturated with the power of plant-surge and life web. It can enhance Coniferous’ and Vessa’s connection to nature, allowing grander feats of plant-surge, healing of forests, sensing large populations of life and the sort. Furthermore the ship has the enhanced ability to shape wildlife and forestation around it itself (with guidance from its family if necessary). This can be something as simple as promoting growth around it by its presence or could be more invasive as shaping nature where first there was none to speak of.
Strengths:
  • All organic. Coniferous needs periods of separation from metal and other advanced technology, because it weakens him. The ship is his sanctuary away from it. The main advantage of a completely organic ship is that it cannot be sliced, ion has little effect on it and that common sensors might have a more difficult time recognizing it for what it is. It also possesses a limited ability to self-heal as a consequence. This happens over stretches of time, when it is given time to rest and plenty of nutrition.
  • Fast and agile. Faster and more maneuverable than ships of its class and size.
  • Defenses. Strong defenses, the organic hull and shields being comparable in strength to other organic ships.
Weaknesses:
  • No weapons. Its only options are to run or hide. It has no offensive capabilities whatsoever.
  • No hangar. It doesn't have any possibility of back-up and can only rely on itself.
  • Sickness. It's made of nature and is susceptible to some plant diseases.
  • Fire. Its interior is highly susceptible to fire.
Description: There is nothing in nature that is not beautiful to someone who knows what to look for. The Hymn of the Albatross combines the beauty and strength of the natural world without catering to the expectations of those who only view it from the surface, unwilling or unable to look deeper than a flower or adorable capering beast.

The Hymn was shaped by song and by steady hands, slowly growing out a life-ship made from the nature of Raykka. It is said that in the past these sort of ships were legion, crowding the skies and filling the forests of the world, but since the enslavement of the Dalan at the hands of the Raykkans they hadn't been seen. It has a life of its own, comparable to the way the starships of the Yuuzhan Vong are alive, slumbering and wakening in equal measures. The Hymn is capable of regulating its own atmosphere, warming or cooling, making the air more or less humid, whatever its family wishes.

Equally its capable of shifting the gravity within it to accommodate the desires of Vessa and Coniferous. The Hymn is large, spacious and in constant flux within. Rooms merging together, rooms expanding, only its beating bio-reactor and bio-engines remain at roughly the same place.

It is fast, maneuverable, more akin to swimming and gliding in space rather than the ugly nature of mechanical engines.

Whilst the legend goes that the Dalan of old possessed warships shaped of rock and molten lava none of that can be traced back here. The Hymn is without any sort of armament, only gaining heavy defenses in return.

I didn't really consider the effect big enough to have a real need for a restricted mission, because it only makes things easier and still necessitates Coniferous and Vessa to be capable in the skills themselves.

If I do the RM for it anyway can I buff up the effect a bit as well?
