IC Hierarchy:
We posses a navy, army, Imperial Knights, Imperial Security Bureau and Imperial Intelligence Bureau. There are various subgroups being set up within each such as the 181st and Legionnaires. Each branch has a standardized hierarchy based on conventions, as would generally be expected. The leaders of each branch control their own branches separately, but all answer to the Emperor (who is an NPC).
Requested Planets:
Capital: Crina
Kalee
Valc VII

Past Roleplay Threads:
Implementation of Order - The Remnant arrives on Crina to end a centuries old Rebellion and instill order.
Separation of States - The Remnant approaches the Mandalorians about a non-aggression pact.
Dear Imperial Remnant - The Remnant is approached by Rave Merrill and they purchase goods largely meant for use against Force Users.
Do note we have several other threads going at the moment as well, a great many of them development threads. We have plans for further faction development threads once we are officially a major faction and have control of both Kalee and Valc VII in an official capacity. We will not be stagnant even if we are methodical.
Description/Pitch:
What is the Imperial Remnant?
Over the years since the first Galactic Empire came to fruition, other versions of the Empire have risen and fallen. When those versions fall, there is always an element that manages to survive. Generally these elements form together and eventually try to spring up a new version of the Empire. These are Imperial remnants. Much like those, this remnant intends to reestablish the presence of the Empire within the galaxy, but will take its time in doing so, and its appearance may be deceiving.
Is the Imperial Remnant good or bad?
The simplest answer is yes. The not so simple answer follows:
Good and bad are perceptions. In the eyes of an Imperial, his or her everyday life is designed to be an effort to bring the galaxy to galactic peace. He or she desires to end all wars, and bring prosperity to the galaxy. In the eyes of an Imperial, we are good, and the anarchists in the Rebellion and other governments, who fight against law and order, are evil. In the eyes of others we are evil. We are highly xenophobic, even though some aliens choose to join our ranks. We have no qualms with using aliens to do our dirty work, but we are of the opinion that humanity is the superior species in the galaxy. And we aren't afraid to subjugate a planet, possibly even destroy its surface outright, in order to bring peace to a system. In the eyes of most that makes us evil. We are, by definition, lawful evil. We have a code, and strive for Order, but we'll do whatever it takes to achieve that. So again, yes is the answer.
Why should I join the Imperial Remnant?
There are a variety of reasons that you should join the Imperial Remnant. Perhaps you simply want to be an Imperial. There is no more Imperial faction on this board than the Remnant. Perhaps you want to play a character that's bent on galactic domination, but has aspirations to see law and order put in place in the process. Perhaps you just want to fight in wars.
Or, just maybe, you want to write fantastic stories. We at the Imperial Remnant are not simply people who want to take over the galaxy. We are a collective of writers who want to write fantastic stories and craft a real, true realm within the galaxy. Since our formation, some of our members have been extensively working on the development of our home world. Most factions don't spend time developing planetary systems, and location submissions for places on the planet, even going so far as to do development threads for some of them. It is our intention of continuing this tradition throughout the duration of the Remnant's existence. So if you're a true writer, someone with a passion for creation, your talents would be very much appreciated here.
Just for examples, below is a short writeup:
Journey To Crina
And experience a world of deep binding stories and mystical wonder as you take part in the story of a world woven with a culture and society thrust in the play of the greater galaxy after only just ending a civil war that split the people for the last three centuries. A noble world, filled with sprawling plains, towering mountainous regions, and resplendent academies, Crina is a place ripe with locations to visit and explore, to experience and traverse.
Colonized when an expedition craft crash landed on the planet after encountering the Luminita System's array of asteroid fields that make traveling the region dangerous, the people of Crina are both with and behind the times. While much knowledge of technology was not lost to the Crinan people, the gaps that did exist created a different value of society. Ruled by an absolute monarchy headed by a Royal Family residing in the grand Palace in the valleys beyond the Captial of Stefania, the people of Crina have mostly lived in extended periods of peace and contentment.
Only their discovery of the larger galaxy created conflict on their world, resulting in a three hundred year long war. In the end it was ironically the interference of the outsiders from the Imperial Remnant that brought an end to the Rebellion as it crushed its main forces in Crina's climatic battle, though few holdouts may remain.
Now Crina serves as the political capital of the Imperial Remnant, though they have left Crina's own government in place with a level of anatomy. Will you join the people of Crina in this time of entering the galactic stage? Will you perhaps serve in the Royal Army, garbed in their blessed armor and armed with brilliant blade? Will you perhaps take the role of a Practitioner of magic, studying your arts at the Cosmina Academy in order to promote peace and protect the world you call home? Or maybe you will become a leader, bred and exalted in the St. Tiberius Academy in the Capital City? Or is being in the cockpit or bridge what you seek? To fly about in Crina's Interceptors and Fighters, commanding their Frigates or Destroyers in the name of order and the crown.
What stories will you tell? What mark can you add to this world overflowing in history and ability?
