"Yes, Josh go and get your gear, prepare yourself for your first mission and report back when you find something. Got me?"
"Yes Carrick. Consider it done."
"I don't see it Josh."
"Very funny. I'm on my way."
"Good."
Walking away from me towards the quarters was an apprentice that I had been teaching the art of lightsaber combat. I felt that he was ready to go out on his own now. He had his own saber. and would likely not need to use it. But I had been training him in Soresu. He would be fine. While he walked to his room, I was leaving the temple doors. Going to go home, Visit my girlfriend and maybe take a shower.... hopefully with her. I smiled at that thought. She was pregnant. Carrying a child that I had help create. And soon, he or she would be brought into the world where they can hopefully live in a more peaceful time than I did. As well, I knew I would never leave my child. I had been abandoned in the past. I would learn from that, and avoid it. Ending the cycle of orphans in my family name.
Walking out, I felt good. Almost as today was going to be a go- Nope!
I could feel a huge twinge in my back. Warning me of danger in a very high degree. In a very fast speed that could hardly be rivaled by other masters within our order, I spun around going down on one knee and thrust both hands forward using telekinesis on whatever was coming for me. Luckily I got it in time as the pillar stopped to a floating spot just inches from my hands. I stood up and let the pillar fall to see a young man standing above the door on a ledge. I had no clue why he attacked me, so I prepared for the worst. Using TK once more, I launched myself high into the air as my saber came to my hand. The twin yellow saber blades brightened up my body as I came down behind the man slinging the saber around to face the man,
"What nerve you have to throw pillars at a Jedi master?"
