The Infinite Senses

Oka sat on top of a Silver Jedi temple. He didn't really know any names these days because he always traveled or forgot what time it was but either way, what did it matter. Oka came to the temple hoping the catch [member="Xander Carrick"]. There was always one way of finding out. He waiting on top of the temple for about a hour until someone walked out of the temple. The figure seemed to be force-sensative. And so Oka picked up a broken column with the force and force pushed it at the figure. He then waited to see what would happen.

"Yes, Josh go and get your gear, prepare yourself for your first mission and report back when you find something. Got me?"
"Yes Carrick. Consider it done."
"I don't see it Josh."
"Very funny. I'm on my way."
"Good."

Walking away from me towards the quarters was an apprentice that I had been teaching the art of lightsaber combat. I felt that he was ready to go out on his own now. He had his own saber. and would likely not need to use it. But I had been training him in Soresu. He would be fine. While he walked to his room, I was leaving the temple doors. Going to go home, Visit my girlfriend and maybe take a shower.... hopefully with her. I smiled at that thought. She was pregnant. Carrying a child that I had help create. And soon, he or she would be brought into the world where they can hopefully live in a more peaceful time than I did. As well, I knew I would never leave my child. I had been abandoned in the past. I would learn from that, and avoid it. Ending the cycle of orphans in my family name.

Walking out, I felt good. Almost as today was going to be a go- Nope!

I could feel a huge twinge in my back. Warning me of danger in a very high degree. In a very fast speed that could hardly be rivaled by other masters within our order, I spun around going down on one knee and thrust both hands forward using telekinesis on whatever was coming for me. Luckily I got it in time as the pillar stopped to a floating spot just inches from my hands. I stood up and let the pillar fall to see a young man standing above the door on a ledge. I had no clue why he attacked me, so I prepared for the worst. Using TK once more, I launched myself high into the air as my saber came to my hand. The twin yellow saber blades brightened up my body as I came down behind the man slinging the saber around to face the man,

"What nerve you have to throw pillars at a Jedi master?"

Oka smiled as the Jedi Master held his light saber before him. "So you are Master Carrick.. I wasn't engaging upon you. Just making sure you were Xander Carrick. So are you going to slice me or can we talk? Something worth my and your time? he asked standing up. This Jedi master was a good one, the way he reacted to that heavy pillar. Simply amazing.

What was this guy thinking! Attacking a full blown Jedi Master who has taken on worse than him, just to grab his attention? I swear, people have death wishes these days. Standing up straight as I literally gave myself a facepalm, My sabers turned off. Still in my hand, and through the muffling of my hand over my face, "What do you want. I am supposed to be going home to meet someone." My hand changed to that of rubbing the bridge of my nose. "And yes, I am Xander Carrick. The one and only who was born from a man over thousands of years ago."

Putting the saberstaff back on the utility belt around my waist, I looked to him. Questioning what he wanted. "Tell me what you want, or I will go home and stay there for the rest of the day." My day had gone from dealing with good students who followed directions, to dealing with a rogue who wanted to be like one of us. While I gave him credit for trying, there were others out there that could probably train him much more effectively than how I could.

"I've read about you since I've been in the Silver Jedi for quite some time. You know a lot of things I need to learn. I just don't know everything I need to learn. But I do know this.." he paused. "I need to learn how to sense an attack before it happens. I need to master stealth and the ability blend in. Are you willing to show me the path?" The Knight awaited a response from the impatient but patient at the same time master Jedi.

I looked at the man. He wanted teachings from me in the art of sensing, as well as force cloak. Now I did not cloak. As Xander I did not. However I did know someone who could teach him the shadows. I nodded my head. "Let me get this straight, you want me to train you in the aspects of precognition and sensing within the force, yet you decide that to grab my attention, that you would take a broke part of the temple that could have been replaced, and throw it at me?"

I shook my head with a small smile. "You remind me of me when I was younger. I will teach you, as long as you stop throwing crap at me or others. As well as pay for the damages you caused."

Oka smiled back. "Thankyou Master Carrick. All damages will be replaced and I won't throw anything else at you or someone else." he said kneeling and standing back up. Xander looked to be someone you wouldn't want to fight, even if you knew a greater power. Force sense is a dangerous weapon, yes, a weapon. It can be used at defense and offense as far as he's read. Oka used telekinesis to pick up the pillar and lay it back on its previous location.
