Geneviève Lasedri
Fascists hate her!
So this round of melodrama had come to an end, and now the galaxy wanted to relive it some more and yank whatever extra tasty bits they could out of the Rebel-turned-Republic Prime Minister's own mouth. A new and flashy holojournalist by the name of [member="Holly Starstorm"] had gotten a deal as a new anchor for the Daily Planet and apparently they were going to throw her to the wolf to get her started. Geneviève Lasedri was hardly a sociable spirit. This interview promised no less than to be extremely interesting for some and absolutely boring for others.
"Let's get it over with," the politician muttered to the makeup artists who almost violently insisted she wear whatever superfluous powders they had in their drawers. This was a big occasion, and they seemed intent on having the Republic's controversial leader look dissimilar to her usual appearance on Senate Vision. Gen hated the thought of being compared to a celebrity. There had been a time when she was proud of her virtual anonymity, and now she envied her younger, rebellious days for that.
She also hated cameras Had ever since she was a teenager, always concerned about who might be watching and with what motives after having observed what a 'secure' society often looks like in the backrooms. Her noticeably began to quiver even before she was directed on stage, and it was suggested that the cam operators keep their angles off her lower arms out of courtesy. The hat, though--that was important. They wanted the famous white sunhat in the picture, but Gen would have none of that for this interview. This did not need to be any more of an exhibition than it already was.
Black hair and black dress reflecting her somber attitude about this sort of event, Prime Minister Lasedri took the seat across from Starstorm, as ready as she would ever be.
