The contents of this book are intended to be an instruction manual for all Jedi to familiarise themselves with the Order’s teachings and the way of the Force. It was used by Master Luke Skywalker (in conjunction with several holocrons) to rebuild the Jedi Order.

First published in the decade following the Ruusan Reformation, the idea for this manual was proposed by Grand Master Fae Coven. While Coven was the primary author, many other Jedi down the ages have added to the text.

This is the fourth edition and the first published since 115 BBY.
