Use: Although Oron has used his original Bevii'ragir both in the field and while training others in its use, he found the weapon to be altogether incapable of standing up against lightsabers, most projectiles, and lacked the hardiness he needed for the brutal form of combat he's adopted as of late. The Neuranium Bevii'ragir would excel in all of those fields along with additional benefits to aid him in niche situations.
Strengths: Research into the rare metal entails that it is quite resilient to the energy of a lightsaber's blade. Records showed an ancient Sith Lord utilizing it as a statue to hold such a weapon, and upon attempting to retrieve it, waited several minutes for the lightsaber to cut its way out of the Neuranium sculpture. Such a quality lends resistance to energy projectiles as well, although this requires an active defense to achieve. Furthermore, because of the weight and sheer density of the material it yields incredible strength and resilience, with the toughness to withstand small explosions, smashing through duracrete, and easily slicing durasteel. Such sturdiness translates into capabilities such as actively defending himself from kinetic forces akin to slugs and pellets, should he be able to deflect them. Also, because of the material's inexplicable makeup, it has the capability to short out most scanners within a 15m range. And lastly it has an extending/retracting feature, to make carrying and concealing it easier. During its creation Oron was summoned to the lab to channel the Force into the weapon and alter the weapons molecular structure at the center of the lance. This process would allow the weapon to retract and extend by "stretching" the material, but only by command of the Force. Such a method, which required an insurmountable amount of focus and time, left Oron extremely fatigued for several days.
Weaknesses: In order to achieve a 3kg weight, the weapon was hollowed out. Meaning contact, whether Oron taps it with his thumb or an enemy's weapon comes in contact with it, results in a rather distinctive metallic echo. Such a sound makes covert operations more difficult and makes pinpointing his location much easier. Also because of its length it makes it nigh impossible to use in tight areas such as hallways, small ship spaces, and other similar locations. Carrying this weapon also makes him the subject of any short-range technological interference, whether intentional or not. Scrambling medical, card, lifeform, measuring, security, and circuit scanners could cause unwanted repercussions. Should he be unable to leave the weapon outside such areas without the threat of theft, he'll be forced to remain out of range.
