The Knight-Priests of Lannai: Light Side NPC Adversary

The Knight-Priests of Lannai
Since the separation of the Pacanth Reach and the Sith Empire of the Core, many sects of the complex Epicanthix polytheistic religion have risen up in heretical rebellion against the God-King's domination over their beliefs. One such heretical group has dubbed itself the Adherents of Lannai, the Goddess of Refugees and the life-giving rain, and have denounced the God-King Zambrano's divinity.

Not long after their separation from the God-King's religious clergy, their temples on Panatha were ransacked and burned by the feverish followers of the God-King. The surviving Priests of Lannai have fled into the vast wilderness of Panatha, while those faithful offworld have gone one step further and fled out of the Pacanth Reach entirely, bringing their heresy to nearby systems and even allying themselves with a rogue group of Jedi who have taken it upon themselves to mete out righteous justice to the God-King and his foul minions.

The blending of the Lannai heresy and the rogue Jedi have created an entirely new organization hell-bent on deposing the God-King, and installing Lannai as the chief deity of the Epicanthix religion. They have since coined themselves the Knight-Priests of Lannai, and have been declared a heretical terrorist organization by the God-King's regime.

The Grand Temple of Zaadja
The Jedi Temple of Zaadja was originally a Geonosian hive created over eight hundred years ago during the galactic conflict known historically as the Clone Wars. In the decades after the Four-Hundred Year Darkness the hive was rediscovered by Jedi Master Altzibiades Marcue-Erquiaga while on his pilgrimage following his departure from the Jedi Order. Through years of toil he converted the decrepit hive into a sprawling temple dedicated to the express worship of the Light Side of the Force. Over time many more Jedi flocked to the temple searching for renewed enlightenment away from the horrors of war and the hypocrisy of their former comrades.

The temple soon came to encompass the mountain the hive had originally been built within, and an entire town sprung up across its peaks filled with theologians, scholars, and those who followed the Church of the Force. The temple eventually became a refuge for the Adherents of Lannai after their exodus from the Pacanth Reach following the wide spread persecution imposed upon them by the tyrannical God-King Zambrano.

Soon enough the Church of the Force and the Adherents of Lannai began to combine their faith, and the Knight-Priests of Lannai were born.

Grand Hieromonk of the Knight-Priests of Lannai
Altzibiades was once a revered member of the original Jedi Order that had sprung forth from the ashes of the Four-Hundred Year Darkness to combat the growing tide of villainy that sought to overwhelm the post-darkness galaxy. He fought on a hundred battlefields, his righteous blade cutting down swaths of heretics with every swing, their bodies turning to ash before the brilliance of his Light. However; as the endless wars continued to rage he became disenfranchised with the Jedi's inability to close the wounds inflicted by enemies within and without their hallowed order.

Seeking new enlightenment, Altzibiades abandoned the Jedi Order and disappeared into the wider galaxy to seek out a new purpose. He eventually found solitude on the planet Zaadja, where he was able to expand and improve upon his understanding of the Force. Soon enough more Jedi sought out this aging warrior to learn from him, and eventually they converted an abandoned Geonosian hive into a new temple of learning.

However; their solitude would not last, and many years later after the temple's founding they received refugees from the religious war that had flamed up in the Pacanth Reach. These forlorn priests, these Adherents of Lannai, spoke to Altzibiades of a cruel tyrant who thought himself a god, and who ruled over their people with an iron fist. The name of this tyrant was familiar to Altzibiades, and he vowed to depose this wicked God-King and bring the Light to the beleaguered people of Panatha.

To this end he adopted the Lannai religion for his own, and soon enough he became so knowledgeable in its teachings that he rose to become the head of a new joint religion between the Lannai and these lost Jedi.

That's actually a great name for the group. If you ever want a PC character thrown in I got a spare Jedi Knight who has no affiliations that I could use for any events.

Got it, kill them all brutally and bring father gifts to sate his desire for blood until Slaughter Fest.

Love me so I can be your favored son, papa.
