- Manufacturer: Prefsbelt Command | The New Imperial Order [x]
- Affiliation: The New Imperial Order [x]
- Model: The KriegsGeist Combat Computer Network
- Modularity: No.
- Production: Semi-Unique
- Material: Electronic Components, Droid Brains.
- GHOST: While most other materials are mundane, the most important one is the algorithm, codenamed GHOST. This algorithm is formed both from tactical data provided by the ISB and COMPNOR, but also through a partial upload of Grand Admiral Carlyle Rausgeber’s mind. As such, the GHOST can identify up to date enemy capital ships, and using the Grand Admiral’s mind decide on the best course of action, transmitting such data to other vessels and organising the pin point aiming and arming of batteries.
- Battle Meditation Lite: The effect the KriegsGeist has on a battle is intense. Its effects on tightening gun accuracy, fighter coordination and vessel placement are all efficiencies granted through the network. All this culminates in fleet formations being more effective and a confidence among crews comparable to Battle Meditation.
- Fragility: Internalised sabotage of the programming, or alternatively extensive damage to the communications array mean that the KriegsGeist and its effects may be nullified entirely.
- Only For The Big Kids: Only vessels 5’000 Meters and over have the communications infrastructure to be able to field the KriegsGeist as it requires a substantive bandwidth.
The KriegsGeist began as a short form project on the planet Pa’Desh in the design bureaus of the then defunct First Order. These remnants believed foolishly that they could potentially resurrect the now gone FIV Wrath and perhaps pursue war against the Confederate and Outer Planet Alliance forces encroaching on their former domain. While the plain early on was quashed, as a man who commanded the Wrath once, Rausgeber demanded the coding of such a program and the creation of a station to house it. Thus the KriegsGeist was born, although unable to be implemented.
Fast forward three years, and the junta on Pa’Desh has reformed on Prefsbelt as Prefsbelt Command, and been put in charge of improving naval manufacture for the New Imperial Navy. Enter the KriegsGeist again, this time put aboard the NIV Tregessar, the Super Star Destroyer the New Imperial Order provided the Prefsbelt Command. The Command however were prudent, and ensured multiple copies of the algorithm were created. However due to the shear amount of data processed and dispatched, they found it could only be installed upon vessels of 5 kilometres in length or more due to bandwidth limitations.
The way the KriegsGeist works, it assesses the situation of a battle and the movements made by commanders on all sides and works to ensure the efficiency of the orders being made. For example, a bombing run is called on a carrier. The KriegsGeist will transmit data on where best to hit the carrier to maximise damage and mitigate casualties. It will provide navigational data to optimise the routes taken by corvette packs, and other vessels to avoid damage, but also capitalise on weaknesses analysed in enemy vessels. It optimises gun battery rotation and targeting, allowing for crews to capitalise and become more accurate. Point-Defence Lasers are optimised to counter waves of oncoming enemy fighters, prioritising heavier models. The result of all this is that it creates a sense of high moral, comparable to battle meditation, potentially turning the tide of an engagement.
